This is a fantastic place to stay for an outdoors activity holiday in the vicinity of Szcyrk in Silesia. The place, like all other holiday homes in the vicinity ("Dom Wczasowy" means "holiday home" in Polish) is dedicated to skiers but we had no troubles whatsoever going there in June for a hiking trip. The lady who runs the show, whose name I forget sadly, is absolutely wonderful. The staff went out of their way to make us feel at home. It is spartan if you're comparing it to a hotel: instead of a mini bar, you get a shared fridge on the landing with other hotel rooms but the rooms are very clean when you get in (although I don't think there's daily cleaning once you check in) and the showers are fine. Breakfast is superb: good quality cheeses, yogurt and cold cuts (but the coffee is the same sad stuff which is all too common in Poland — probably bring your own coffee maker). Also, if you are going there for hiking, the staff seem to know the best routes. Be advised that even a trip to the shops to buy milk is going to be about a 15-minute walk, a great way to get exercise. We are seriously considering a second visit to this place after two nights in June, 2017. The attention and care of the staff and the suitability of the facilities — the location is itself stunning — really made our stay near Szcyrk worthwhile for us.
