Nice, quiet place away from everything. Friendly staff, excellent breakfast. It has a bed and breakfast atmosphere so it's not very busy. The only peoblem I had was the fact that my room was right next to front desk reception area so it was hard not to eavesdrop on reception conversations :) But room was clean and accomedations were ok.
The staff at Tatra Chalet are amazing! Their service is at the top of the service industry. We were completely satisfied with every request made. The rooms are cozy, romantic, clean and comfortable with beautiful views of the valley and mountains. There is hiking, a waterfall, shopping galore, great restaraunts, an outdoor market (The best and least expensive souvenirs), and a tram to the top of the ski area, all within a 30 minute stroll. We could not have asked for a better stay in Zakopane! Seriously, do not wait for your souvenir shopping to the end of your trip or the airport. The goods at the outdoor market are great gifts that are both ethnic, modern and inexpensive. In the main shopping district (just across the street from the outdoor market) shops stretch on for a mile full of everything Polish and much much more!
