5 star for the view, the beach and the hotel design but I'll give 1-star for the whole experience during our stay. The price is not right they charge you big time but you get poor service. The food is pricey yet nothing special. The rooms are not totally clean because there are cockroaches in the cabinet and they don't offer complimentary breakfast or welcome kit like shampoo, soap or toothpaste to guests upon checking — in even though the price of the rooms are in the same price range from other hotels that offers standard service or complementaries. They say that there is no corkage fee when you bring your own food but they will charge you with utility fee when you use their facilities like when we have BBQ party in the rooftop feels like every action you make in the place comes with price. So funny 😅 we need to pay parking fee of 100 even though we are guests of the hotel and staying overnight. You cannot watch TV because there is no cable connected in every room worst of all there is no Globe service in the area especially inside the room. Their swimming pool is too small and too deep not recommended to children and no lifeguard on duty. We are not happy or satisfied of our stay we just waste our money and time. They say here in FB that it is a luxury hotel but in reality its not. This is a good example of a false advertising only their price are luxury hehe its our fault though its already a red flag when they asked for downpayment before they secure your booking.

Highly recommended! very relaxing, I like their rooms clean, spacious and cozy. We love our room at the front of swimming pool and very accessible going to the beach. They have area if you want to cook food just bring cooking utensils. Mrs. Warren is very accomodating, all my queries are all answered. we'll surely go back here.

Ms Delia Warren, the owner, was just very accommodating. She answered all my queries from pre-booking up until when we actually arrived. I was looking forward to meet her but she was quite busy when we got there. Nevertheless, the resort staff (I remember the names Jade, Cherry Mae, Charmaine, and Brylle) were all courteous and very attentive to their guests' needs. ☑️
During the whale shark tour, they made sure everyone enjoyed the experience. I appreciate even the little details such as preparing lunch, bringing towels, and greeting their guests all the time.
Rooms were cozy. Beds were big enough. Even the bathroom was spacious. Shower has heater and of course plus points for the bidet! 🤭
Overall, this is the perfect place if you're looking for that peace & quiet. Away from the hustle in the city.

We fell in love with the place. It’s located on a rocky cliff overlooking a beautiful beach with white sand, clear waters and palm trees. The sea is good for snorkeling where you can also see some occasional turtles swimming very near the shore. The resort itself is quite nice with clean and big rooms. It has beautiful grounds with lots of tropical plants. The pool area is also nice. It’s a great area for breakfasts, shaded with trees. They have a restaurant but their menu is quite limited. Their staff are polite and helpful and the owner Ma’am Delia is kind and accommodating. Overall, the Castle Resort is Superb.

The place is beautiful with breathtaking view. The staff and owner, Delia were friendly and accommodating. The meals served were tasty, delicious especially the dinner. There were so many activities to look forward to such as boat ride with dolphin watching, and trip to Limasawa island and floating cottage. Our family enjoyed the short stay and vacation in this place. Highly recommended.

We stayed here for a quick staycation with friends and we really had fun. The view is superb! Pool is so clean, as well as the rooms and the hotel in general. We also love the owner Ms. Delia for being so friendly. Her place is a must visit in Southern Leyte! ❤️❤️❤️

My entire family stayed and the place was very accommodating. We were able to swim with the whale sharks, and just the method of finding them was fascinating. We were escorted almost the whole time by a pod of playful dolphins. Amazing adventure!

The food was great. And the snorkeling part is very beautiful a lot of colorful fish. We had so much fun staying in Padre Burgos castle resort. You guys should give it a try and I assure you will love to come back.

We loved Padre Burgos!
It is so private and exclusive in its own way.
The nature is breathtaking and it really feels like you are visiting someones house.
And the food is AMAZING also really like high class home cooked.

Wow what a place! I came here with my 15 yo daughter to relax from daily life 1 night in of 4 I feel at peace. The staff are so wonderful and helpful. A very quite and exquisite resort, well off the beaten track. I highly recommend it. 10/10

The place has a lot of activities to be engaged with like snorkeling but I loved the scuba diving, thanks to Tino and Yoko, my first time was great. The people there are friendly, thanks to Madam Delia for being so accommodating also to the staff especially Honey for being there always to assist us. Many thanks to the souvenirs and great food as well. I'm sure to be back next time to experience other activities. My friend and I enjoyed our stay.

The place is nice and relaxing but the food is expensive, you can't bring your own food there.

Wonderful service from Della, Tino and the rest of the staff who made our stay comfortable and relaxing. The place was beautiful, well kept and intimate. Tino took a lot of effort to make sure the kids saw marine creatures and attended to our individual divers needs. Della was warm, motherly, took great effort that we had fresh food and even asked us what we wanted from town to eat. The rooms were always kept clean, comfy and clean. Thank you for making our visit a pleasure.

The place is impressively beautiful. However, the foreign owner defeated the very purpose of our stay — rest and respite from the hectic life of the city. Why? not because of the beauty of the place. It was because the male owner is bereft of the basic of manners towards his supposedly valued guests. It was just unacceptable. What a pity!

Excellent. We spent 10 days at Padre Burgos Castle Resort for a family and diving vacation and had a wonderful time. The diving is great, and so is the food as well as the accommodation. The resort is managed with great care by the owners themselves and all staff members are very friendly and helpful. We appreciate that we were treated as guests, not as tourists.

A wonderful little place on the tip of Southern Leyte, where there are whale sharks to see and very nice snorkeling. The property is elegant and well manicured like a resort but it's charming and has the personal touch of a small bed and breakfast. Great food and great service too.

We stayed at the Padre Burgos Castle two weeks after typhoon Haiyan and many friends at home advised us to cancel our holiday at the Philippines. We are so glad we didn’t. We took the ferry from Cebu to Hilongos and were surprised and happy to find no destruction and everything normal. For the first few days of our stay there was no power, but the hotel’s generator provided lights and air-conditioning at the necessary times. David, Delia and staff were wunderful hosts and we felt like king and queen. Delia is an amazing cook and the half pension package was worth every cent. Diving was arranged with a nearby dive center and the reefs were perhaps the best we’ve seen ever. Dolphin watching and a trip to Limasawa Island is not to be missed. Our only regret is that there were no whale sharks during our stay. We must return.
