Well kept place nice courteous people, organized and reasonable price.

Great place to stay! If you are into scuba diving the perfect spot and destination to explore the fantastic underwater world wird a lot of the best dive spots around the Philippines. Close to Apo Island as well. If you want to have relaxed dives with very much experienced guides, take the chance to go with Sea Explorers!

Pura Vida was our hone away from home for three weeks during our visit in the Philippines. We were treated like family by the staff making it memorable and comforting for us. Very relaxing and secure place to be.

The staff have been exceptional at accommodating my dietary requirements. Few hiccups at the beginning but now they’re recommending low carb, no sugar and dairy options from the menu 😊. Even recommending a blend meal options to ensure I enjoyed my meals. The dive team know their sites and where the best pics can be taken. The Spa has a highly trained therapist that provided the best massage I’ve EVER had! Highly recommend a dive/relax stay! I will definitely be returning.

This place is too expensive for what they serve with the cheapest continental breakfast ive eaten ever. 10k room is not worth it. But the ambiance and view is good.

We haven’t been there just once, we have been many times! The staff is outstanding and accommodating. The resort is very clean and well maintained. The food is delicious. Matched with a great location with a beautiful view. Top notch place to go and not to spendy on the wallet. Highly recommended.

Beautiful resort, but we dropped a complaint about bad treatment in the restaurant. Had to wait for more than an hour for our order. Is a pity because the place is nice. Also missed a nice breakfast buffet.

We had a very relaxing stay and a nice experience especially the free basic diving lesson by sir niel and special thanks to mam camille for offering her underwater cam, so nice of her.

This resort is fabulous, the staff are friendly and welcoming, food is excellent. There are different types of rooms to take, they are all clean and it would be just your choice of the size of the room you prefer. We stayed in the deluxe room and it was perfect for us. No where is that far from the beach or the town of Dauin. We will be back.

Unaccommodating staff food is overly like a 20 dollar meat crowded like a a four seater cabana turned into seven seater.

We love the place (quiet & clean) and we love all the staff. They know how to delight their customers reason why we kept coming back. Whenever we go to Dumaguete, Pura Vida is our family home. We had recommended this place to our friends from the US & they were happy too.

Just tried the restaurant (diving with sea explorer), food is not so tasty (lacking of flavour) but the staff is really friendly and you can order in advance pack lunch for your day trip to Apo Island. For good food just walk to the Eldorado Hotel 50m in your left on the beach, they have really good food (but bad old room).

Went there with the kids since we live in Dumaguete and wanted to check out the beach there. Entrance fee, swimming pool fee (even thou we had lunch there). Food was below standards, tom yam wasn't tom yam at all… Suggest you guys get a new chef or at least have someone train them proper. Dozen staff on the floor but nobody that came to take our order. Wouldn't recommend it to anyone, far better places on the island. Won t be back.

Beautiful resort. Nice and friendly staff, very helpful. Good massages. Diving center is good but very expensive. A lot of fees and added prices. Communication and reservation didn’t work at all.

We stayed at Pura Vida Beach Resort in Daouin last March. This is our second stay and it confirms the excellent impression of this property. The welcome is perfect and warm. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable, be it bamboo bungalows or luxury rooms.
The food is delicious and of high quality. The dishes are varied and excellent. The service is outstanding, the staff always very friendly, caring and very discreet.
The spa is intimate, quiet and the massages are very pleasant, performed by knowledgeable and friendly staff.
The dive centre is a model of its kind; whether by the kindness, professionalism and good humour of all the staff. The guides listen to our needs and wishes. Remarkable service there too.
The boats are very comfortable and the whole crew is very careful for us, including non-divers. The snorkelers were filled with a guide.
We were a group of 29 people, divers and non-divers and the entire staff went out of their way to make it a great time for us to have a great stay. We can only congratulate and thank them.
Our stay is unforgettable.

I am really looking forward to returning to this lovely place. All the staff are so helpful and polite, always smiling. The rooms are very nice and clean, the food was great! The setting is fantastic and so well maintained, I can go on praising them all day. The dive centre and all the staff that help in the every day running of it all were super, they were so helpful. I really loved the diving and miss being there already! So thank you for a lovely holiday!

Pura Vida is an absolutely stunning resort — — both the rooms (apartments) and the grounds. The people are lovely, the service is great, and the food is really good. Plus Sea Explorers, the dive operation, is one of the top two dive operations I have experienced in diving all over the world. We had the trip of a lifetime.
