Reviews of GV Hotel - Ormoc 1*
I’ve stayed at several GV Hotels before, but this was by far the worst experience.
The room felt more like a neglected boarding house than a hotel. The bedding was extremely thin, looked worn out, and did not appear properly cleaned. Cleanliness was a major concern throughout the stay, as the room and surrounding areas felt poorly maintained.
One major inconvenience was the lack of an elevator. Our room was located on the 4th floor, which meant carrying luggage up several flights of stairs. The hallways leading to the rooms were dim, unsettling, and gave off a creepy atmosphere rather than a welcoming hotel environment. The floors were noticeably dirty and looked like they had not been cleaned properly for quite some time.
The toilet was uncomfortably cramped—to the point that your knees hit the wall while seated. There was also no proper ventilation. Instead, there was a large open gap above the bathroom door directly connected to the bedroom, allowing odors to spread throughout the room.
The windows were sealed shut and could not be opened, making the space feel even more stuffy and uncomfortable. Overall, the property fell far below even basic expectations for cleanliness, comfort, and maintenance. Based on my experience, I would not choose to stay here again.
No free toilet paper, shampoo, soap, coffee. No available convenient outlet at the bedside. Remote control for the TV wasn't ready for the guest.

This one is the dirtiest in Ormoc, I mean omg. For the same price you'd get a bigger and cleaner room anywhere else. The smell! I was actually impressed how they broke the record for bad smells in this city. If I ever had no choice, I'll sleep on the sidewalk rather than this one… Nothing works in this room, no flush, barely an Aircon, bad bed sheets, bad trowels, no hot water. The pillows smell like another human used it for ages… Lord have mercy.
