Figtree Hotel

In my 5 days of stay, I observed that the hotel is in a good location at the Atria District with several restaurants nearby, and the place itself is quiet which is good for rest. The room size is also acceptable for a solo traveler.
However, the service needs improvement. The front desk staff seem unapproachable and rarely greet guests. Housekeeping also did not replenish basic room items such as toothbrushes, tissues, and slippers. When I asked to borrow plates and utensils, I was instructed to personally go to the 5th floor to get them, which felt more like self-service rather than hotel service.
Overall, the location and quiet environment are good, but guest service and housekeeping standards should be improved.

Single rooms are narrow, not advisable with claustrophobic persons. Staff are friendly and buffet breakfast is ok. Locate near malls and food establishments, book in advanced, hotel is popular amongst travelers.

The hotel is clean and conveniently located near malls, cafés, and other establishments. However, I was a bit disappointed with the front desk service. I informed them in advance that we would arrive early, yet they did not offer any options even though rooms were available.
Additionally, the staff did not demonstrate proper guest welcoming — there was no warm greeting upon arrival. We were also charged for an early breakfast even though we did not avail of it.
Overall, the location and cleanliness are good, but the service needs improvement.

As a budget hotel, this does the job. It is quiet, clean, conveniently located (though still a walk from Diversion road, where most jeep routes you might need as a tourist pass through), and vibrant (maaliwalas). Bed and pillows are comfortable. Breakfast is basic but complete, with rice, veggies, soup, and breakfast meats like sausage. Water dispenser present on every floor. There is a rooftop deck by the breakfast area (top floor), if you'd like to hang out. Staff are friendly, but in my experience, not the best to ask if asking about directions to different places. I came during Dinagyang festival (they had higher prices for this peak season event) and the staff didn't seem knowledgeable enough when I asked about commuting directions to different main points of the city (had better answers from other locals I met). My solo room didn't have windows but I didn't feel stuffed in it. In fact, one of my nights became cold enough I didn't even need the air-conditioning to sleep well. Will I stay here again? Yes.

I recently stayed at Figtree, and while it is a 2-star hotel, the service we received was 5-star quality. If you are looking for an affordable, city-centered spot, I highly recommend this place.
Why I’d Stay Here Again:
• Unmatched Honesty: I have to give a massive shout-out to the housekeeping staff. I accidentally left my phone under the bed, and they found it immediately after we checked out. They didn't just call us to inform us; they actually took the initiative to deliver it to the airport so I wouldn't miss my flight without it. Their integrity is incredible!
• Prime Location: The hotel is right in the heart of the city. We loved being able to walk to all the nearby restaurants and shops—it made exploring so easy.
• Great Food & Space: For a budget hotel, the room was surprisingly spacious and kept very clean. Plus, the breakfast buffet was actually quite good and a great way to kick off the morning.
The Atmosphere:
The dining staff were all incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home. While most of the reception team was approachable, there was one gentleman at the front desk who wasn't very smiley, but the warmth of the rest of the staff definitely made up for it.
Minor Note:
The only small downside was that the windows and curtains looked like they needed a bit of a deep clean, but the rest of the room was spotless.
Final Verdict: With this price point and such honest, helpful staff, you really can't go wrong. I am so grateful for their help with my phone!

Solid clean 3-Star hotel that is good for travelers. Location is near a lot of restaurants and there is easy access.
Breakfast is minimal, boiled eggs, rice, corned beef and coffee, but will get the job done.
Not fancy, but a good value.

Only good for short stays.
Walls are thin, you could hear the other guests in their rooms and people walking/talking in the hallway. Door locks are also loud. So, good luck if your fellow guests are oblivious to the noise they're making or just downright inconsiderate.
Wi-Fi is also pretty bad. Had it disconnect on me every so often, and the signal reception on the 5th floor where the restaurant/outdoor area is worse than inside the room.
Plus side, the beds have mattress toppers so it's comfortable to sleep on. If you can sleep, that is.

Worst service experienced ever. When I arrived, the guys at the counter just ignored me cause they were busy playing mobile legends on their phones. Minutes after I had checked in my room, I heard a commotion just outside with guys shouting in a foreign language and doors banging. I called frontdesk to inform them of the situation, and the guy, the same guy playing ML earlier, immediately, even before I finished my statement, dismissed me by saying, "parang wala naman, sir. " Worst, worst service. Will not come back.

I stayed overnight in this hotel. Location is accessible and close to malls and nearby attractions. Staff are courteous and prompt. Phone in my room was not working so they gave me a mobile phone number instead. No bottled water inside the room but they have a pitcher and a glass and you can get the water from a dispenser in the hallway. I got a double standard room which is quite small for two persons but spacious for a solo traveller like me. The room was clean. No slippers and hair dryer in the bathroom but they provide toiletries. Limited choices for breakfast but it was acceptable for the price. For a budget hotel, they managed to meet the basic needs of a traveller. Overall, I had a pleasant stay in this hotel — comfortable and safe.

The hotel is in a great spot—close to the Esplanade, restaurants, and other cultural places. It's easy to explore the area by walking. There was no mobile signal in the room, and the Wi-Fi was very weak. The breakfast choices were also limited. If you're just looking for a place to sleep and plan to spend most of your time exploring the city, it might do the job. But if connectivity and comfort are important to you, it might be worth looking elsewhere.

We stayed for a weekend in the double room. The room was clean, cozy, and the bed comfortable. There is a small desk and chair, and a closet area for your things. The T. V. And cable box worked with no issues. The shower hotwater heater worked wonderfully, and the water pressure was stable. The air conditioner kept the room extra cool. During the hottest time of the day, the air conditioner needed a little extra time to cool off the room. The staff are professional, patient and generously accommodating. I would say the staff are the stars of the hotel. There is breakfast which is free of charge for every guest. Breakfast time is from 6 am to 10 am. And it's Filipino style. The room has a water pitcher and a couple of drinking glasses. There are filtered drinking water fountains on every floor. The hotel location is close to many desirable places, such as SM City Mall. There is a Korean style convenience store close by that is open until 11 pm. This hotel doesn't break the bank while providing a satisfying experience.

The hotel is clean and the bed comfortable for a one night stay.

Staff friendly and outgoing. Is a clean budget hotel.
Disappointed there was no safe. Approx 500 to 800 meter walk to SM Mall. Disappointed room had no soap or shampoo and the trash can still had previous persons trash. Not good.
Breakfast minimal. Bathroom small with a shower curtain but had hot water heater. Room was small but was ok.
Water is in the hall way and you fill up your own and take back to your room.

The worst hotel no signal in your room. I was there for a business trip and I have to stay at the alley by midnight just to finish sending my reports.
You have to pay 150 pesos to use their iron for 1 hour. I also left my charger so I have to borrow but unfortunately to no avail. Very wrong service.
Bath towel color not white but yellowish sign of ages and the smell of the cr not acceptable. Soap dispenser not in good condition.
Never again!

In the city, near sm. You get what you pay for good place to sleep, bed and ac is comfortable. No pool no gym, breakfast lacks options, simple but filling. Sink is too near the toilet. City is small enough to walk around in so location is good.

Don't pay for the breakfast it's a joke. No accommodation for international travellers. It's probably a good hotel for Filipinos but not for international visitors.
I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.
Stay somewhere else. Im glad I booked for just 1 night now I can find a proper hotel.

Booked via Agoda and our stay was a smooth experience. Location is great as it’s near Ayala Atria and walking distance to SM City and Esplanade 1. There are a lot of establishments nearby, you can also ride a jeep there going to Festive Walk. I appreciate that it’s inclusive of breakfast (silog buffet). Limited options but it’s good.
Staffs are very accommodating. Wifi is decent, water pressure is good, dental kits are provided, no soap but there is shampoo dispenser in the bathroom. I recommend staying here.

"Value for money"
For a low budget hotel, it is beyond my expectation.
Lobby is small but comfy and clean.
Lobby has infused water dispenser (10am onwards, maybe)
Staffs are kind and welcoming.
Location is good: Walking distance to SM, close to public transpo terminal, close to essential go-to stores.
Granted an early check-in! (2hrs early)
Great for a quick rest before going out.
Working elevator, accessible stairs. Water dispenser near elevator each level.
The room we got is nice and clean. No dusty smell or bad odor. Door security is ok.
Entering the room, there's hanger area and small lower cabinet for footwear.
The CR is clean. Has bathroom tissue, dental kit, 3in1 shower gel (soap, shampoo, conditioner), working shower heater, and a very strong bidet 🤣
Bed and comforter is nice and comfy. Pillow is bulky but soft.
Bed lamps and table lights are working.
Has wall-attached table, chair, 1 pitcher and 2 glasses.
Has working cableTV.
Wifi is ok, few down times only.
Has very cold window type AC.
Breakfast buffet: place, table and chair, food is nice!
Overall experience: 4.8/5!
The only downside we experienced is the location of the AC which points directly to the bed. Damn, it's really cold even if we already adjusted the AC. 🥶
Considering that it is a budget-friendly hotel, it exceeds our expectation! Would love to stay again.
