The owner was truly evil. I booked a Open water and AOW course through the resort. All was going well until the second day of the course, when I was told they won't be able to continue because of my paralysed arm. Which I'd already made them aware of. So I went next door to another diveshop and they had no problem accommodating me.
This is where it went downhill. I asked for a refund on my courses. One of which I hadn't even started. The owner told me there would be no refund. I explained to him how if he wasn't going to let me finish the course we shouldn't have started it. After days of haggling and me having to threaten him with reporting it as theft. He caved, but kept about $500Aud and wanted me to pay another $40aud to cover the transfer costs to my account. He also changed our booking and made us check out a day early out of spite. I felt so sorry for the manager who had to be the middleman through all this, she was lovely. But this man was awful and it came close to ruining the whole trip.
This whole mess cost me 2 days of diving and $500 aud. It hurt our vacation and I hope it doesn't happen to anyone else.
