Great place to do the Kawasan canyoneering — they also offer a discount for guests, which makes it the most competitive price offered. Good options after limited, but possibly because of the renovations in the kitchen when I stayed there. The staff is wonderful and went out of their way to make our stay lovely. Definitely recommend.

Clean rooms. Staff were warm and courteous. Though foods served need to be improved. Signed up for Canyoneering. Our guides Raymart and Lloyd were very professional, helpful and made us at ease, safe and secure considering it was my first adventure of my entire life. A very unforgettable experience. Would recommend to my friends. And definitely coming back!

Beautiful view and place to stay and dine. Very friendly staffs and accommodating. Another perk is that the place very near Kawasan Falls and Canyoneering. We all enjoyed the place, food and nature. Our family will definitely go back here again soon. Super recommended.

The restaurant of Matutinao is a great place to have lunch! The price is reasonable (tourist spot) and they have beer too! (caution! do not drink and do the kawasan falls jump). The must order here is their fried chicken! Really Good! sizzling chicken is ok too.

This place is wonderful. Everything is so clean. I’ve stayed in some pretty high end resorts but nothing beats old fashioned courtesy. The owners Ate Gina and Kuya Gerry are very nice and accommodating. They will guide you and give you advice on how to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Our Canyoneering guide, Chris is very patient and informed. He made sure we were comfortable and safe all through the 5 hour trek. (It took us longer because we were admiring all the sights). The Wi-Fi, or lack thereof didn’t bother us, we can wait to post pics. And with so many things to do, who has time to surf the net? You’re in this place to admire nature anyways.

If you're going to Badian to experience Canyoneering at Kawasan Falls, you should definitely check in at Matutinao Beach and Cottages. It's the jumpoff point for the said activity so all you have to do is wake up early and ask for a guide for a reasonable fee. Convenient located and at the same time, you will have the view of Matutinao Beach while relaxing before or after canyoneering. Thanks to Kuya Gerry and ate Gina for taking care of us while we were staying there. They responded promptly to our many questions regarding how to get there from Bohol and how to get a guide for Kawasan and everything under the sun. They were kind and helpful. Finally, anyone who is going to go Canyoneering should get Bernard as their guide. He was witty and funny and he took really good care of us.

Accommodating and friendly staff; they respond timely to queries either through messenger or text message; they also allowed us late check out, without additional charge, bec we finished the canyoneering activity around 3 pm. They gave us an affordable package, accommodation + canyoneering + lunch, and you can be assured that the guide (ours was Sir Philip) is competent and you'll definitely enjoy the experience. Highly recommended.

Nice beach front room where everyone can enjoy listening to waves and be awed by the amazing view of sunset. Kawasan falls entrance is just across the street. Staff are friendly and approachable. They have canyoneering and island hopping adventures with competent and ever so helpful guides.
