The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, perfect for solo travelers or backpackers looking to meet new people.
The rooms were clean and comfortable, the staffs were incredibly friendly and helpful and always ready to assist us with recommendations or questions about the area.

We had a great overnight stay at Hangover Hostel in Moalboal! One of the biggest highlights for us was how clean everything was — from the rooms to the shared spaces, and especially the bathrooms, which were spotless and well-maintained. Hygiene standards are clearly a priority here, and it made a huge difference in our comfort.
The Wi-Fi was surprisingly fast and reliable, which is always a bonus, especially if you need to get a bit of work done or plan your next destination. The hostel is also very accessible, located conveniently close to the main road and just a short walk from restaurants, shops, and the beach.
We also felt very secure during our stay — the hostel has a solid setup for both safety and peace of mind. Lastly, a big shoutout to the staff: everyone was incredibly friendly and welcoming, always ready to help out with questions or give local recommendations.

This hostel is so accessible since it is along the main road and nearby to a panagsama beach.
It has an array of room (s) good for solo backpackers and tourists/travelers in group or family.
The room I stayed at is clean and has good aircon. The accommodation was worth the price.
The staff are very friendly and accommodating plus they’ve got Wi-Fi at 24/7 security and its just a 6-9 mins walk to the beach. My favorite part of all is their karaoke night, don’t miss out it’s super duper fun!
Highly recommended if you’ve planning to visit moalboal but on a budget book your stay at HANGOVER HOSTEL.

First of all what I loved about this Establishment, is that the staffs are very accommodating and friendly the ambiance is also very nice where you can truly feel relaxed and refreshed. The foods are very Tasteful as well as the rooms very comfortable and nice. My experience here is very worth it, and I would loved to stay here again to my next vacation. So if you are also lookingor planning for the very nice place to stay with in your vacation, this establishment is very recommendable. 😍

We really enjoyed our stay here and met some amazing people. There are events on most nights and a free rum and coke tower at 8pm, which goes quick so get to it at 8. A few of mine and my friend’s stuff did go missing oddly, so ensure to lock your valuables away in the lockers. As there are no locks on the doors.

We had a really bad experience in this hostel unfortunately. Our room was full of bugs and ants, even our beds! And so were the other rooms.
We got so many bites on our body and when we complained at reception, the managers answer was “these are just bites from the ants” as if it’s normal… and that’s it. Very disappointing.

Very nice hostel, affordable and worth the price. Toilets and bedrooms are clean. Staff are very friendly. 👏

After two nights here I don’t recommend this hostel.
At first the toilet is just dirty. It’s really gross to wash face with dirty sink but what’s even worse THERE IS NO SOAP TO WASH HANDS. I don’t expect shower gel under the shower but soap is just bare minimum. They don’t give you towels, and the curtain next to the bed can’t fully cover it so you still don’t have privacy. The name of hostel is hangover but if you come back to the room later at night and you want to brush teeth you have to wake up everybody and turn the light on in the room because the sink is in the room.
Secondly THERE WAS NO PARTY. From hostel named “hangover” I would expect some activities. There was also an offer that at 8:30 pm they give you free drink but when we came there specially for this hour the employee standing just next to the sign 8:30 PM told us that we have to pay because a the manager told her that it should be from 9 PM (why didn’t they change the sign? ) I appreciate the idea but it’s just sounded like they wanted to use us for money.
Lastly, employees are impolite and they got mad that we still didn’t check out even thought it was hour before check out time.
But I need to say also about good things. There you can take FREE WATER, COFEE AND TEA which is really nice.

We stayed for 2 days at the hostel. The rooms are cheap, and the name is real hint so don't stay there is you are a light sleeper.
First, the staff was friendly, the location is not far away from all the bars/restaurants and the beach but in a side street so there are a little bit less people which is nice.
However, a few details to know before bookings: the rooms are quite loud. Walls are thin, and you hear what's happening in the toilet and shower. Curtains do not close fully on the bed. We used our towel as a second curtain. The neighbour rooster is singing as from 2 am. So be aware if you are a light sleeper.
Finally, there is a bit of social life in the hostel as they organise small activities in the evening. Price and name will attract a young and party crowd. We got very drunk people in the room on the second night.

It was our first time staying at the hostel, but it much above my expectations. It was one of the most enjoyable hostels, with clean beds and curtains for each bed, a separate shower and toilet, and a comfort room. I played with the cats in our room, and the hostel also allows pets. You can cook at the hostel as well; just ask the staff for help. The staff was incredibly welcoming, and I will definitely be returning soon. I highly suggest this hostel to my friends.

Beds were Very gross, I had a bug that looked like a cockroach walking in my bed and there were also ants in my bed. We wanted to ask for Another room but we Decided to go to Another hostel at 1 am because it was too gross and there was no one to help us at reception. Next dat we kindly explained the situation and asked for a refund as we did not sleep there but they did not wanted to give a refund. So would not recommend this hostel.

Hostel does not look like the pictures. Also when we wanted to go to sleep, there were bugs in our bed. It was 1 am, so as there was no one at te reception, we moved to another hostel. Next morning we went back to explain everything and kindly asked if we could receive back te money. They said to have a "no return policy". I get that, but these situations are not our fault and after a rough night we expected better service.

It's the second time that I come to this hostel because it's the best! Confy beds with curtains and clean toilets. And all the staff are very friendly and helpful. Everyday there is something going on at the hostel to entertain the gests and get them together.
Restaurants/bars around and the beach is about 7 minutes walk.
I really recommend it!

I was the first to feel the the hangover because I never stop at the right place ah maybe because I relied on waze and she is a Jewish much more she has the hangover haha anyways it is a good place to stay I hope they have motorcycle for rent so that guests can room around Moalboal or visit Badian even Oslob.

Rooms were clean and had curtains, staff were friendly! Not a busy hostel but people around. Hostel provides tours and transfers which were amazing! Food was great as well. At the top of the Main Street but easily walking distance from everything!

Very good option for accommodation in Moalboal with a nice atmosphere to meet people. There are activities every evening and the people working there is warm and welcoming.
The dorms are clean and the beds have curtains. Every dorm has its own toilet and shower, which is a plus compared to other hostels around.
They have breakfast and coconuts (very good price).
Laundry and tours are also offered here.

One of the most fun hostels we've been to in a while. It feels really homey and the staff actively get involved in the fun and get a great social atmosphere going. Felt really comfortable and the food was delicious and great value. Would recommend hangover hostel to anyone coming to stay in Moalboal whether a solo travel or couple.
Ps. The dogs and cat are amazing and always up for a pet or belly rub ❤️
