Heideland Hostel

If you're planning to go to Puerto Princesa for leisure and working on a budget, you may consider staying at Heideland! They offer affordable room for P350/night (bunk bed/dorm type). They also served breakfast & dinner for P100 (price may vary). The staffs are friendly & accommodating esp 'te Kakay— the owner. In addition, they also have lovely cats and dog. You'll love the place, for sure. Definitely, I'll be back to experience the underground river and firefly watching.

We had a great stay, food and company! Plus points to the furry and mischeavious little friends.

The place gave me different and interesting lifestyle experience especially that it was my first time traveling in Palawan and staying in a hostel. The shared spaces and the opportunities for interaction (lunch, dinner, grills etc) encourages social interaction with everyone. You get to tell each other experiences from what you got in your recent trips, and maybe an exchange knowledge about each others' culture from there country. Plus its also a way to connect yourself to the nature around because its an open area and you'd just normally hear the chirping of birds and the crashes of leaves to one another and also play with the naughty but adorable cats and puppy outside, just bring lotions for mosquitoes and you'll be fine. You can also get great advices or recommendation from Ate Kakay (the owner) about nice places to eat or get a much better deal to some of your errands since she knows the place and people there very well. She can also help you book your trip to famous puerto princesa's tourist spots but also those places not in the books! So overall the stay was great and also by the way the Cacay cooks and bakes good food there I really enjoyed it.

Leaving review for other hostel by same owner as they will send you there if this place is full: If you like fleas jumping on you from the mange covered dogs they have laying on all sitting areas then this is it for you! I had at least 4 fleas on me, killed another few on one of the dogs. Humans can get rashes from dogs that have mange. The staffdont care about the customers and deny there is a problem and refused to escalate to owner. Complete lack of any sense of customer service. Rooms are HOT! Give someone who cares your business.

The palabok was so yummy!, the solar panels are to die for if you're a greenie, and I got my organic soap from here too and ordered and had real coffee! and then got to sleep in the hammock when it got so hot… oh and Im going to do baking lessons there without an oven — and the teacher is Kakay Oloroso — the owner!

Amazing place in Puerto-Princesa. Good food, good people and really nice atmosphere within the city. Good to relax!
