The service and experience is absolutely excellent! I adore how the management has amazing attention to detail and thoughtfulness that they really were able to pre-empt all the tiny things you’d possibly need, and designed their hotel to be so convenient and accommodating in all the ways you could think of. You would really feel that every single member of the staff genuinely cares about making the guests the happiest and most comfortable. They have great initiative, they pre-empt your needs (as if they could read our minds), and are just absolutely pleasant overall. The manager mentioned to us that they let the staff stay at the hotel during the pandemic lockdown when they weren’t allowed to operate. I found this not only really heartwarming but also really smart! This is probably how they all got to experience their hotel from a guest’s perspective, and are now able to pre-empt every possible need we could have. The breakfast buffet is great! Some resorts tend to scrimp on breakfast buffets, but The Funny Lion has consistently good breakfast food. The staff at the front desk would also be very helpful with providing you recommendations on the best places to check out in town for lunch and dinner. The hotel’s “safari adventure” theme is perfect for families as it really creates an exciting atmosphere for children. They also have boardgames in the restaurant that you can use. But don’t worry if you’re going with friends.

The whole experience was fantastic, the level of service was just fantastic, the value you get back for the money you pay is so much worth it. First of all the place is really clean and the welcome you get is almost like being welcomed home. The manager JB was super helpful showing us around and then later welcomes us for some welcome drinks on the roof terrace where they have 2 jacuzzi' baths. We had our drinks and some snacks in the bath while watching the sun set and we had an amazing time and the best view. Much better than some of the more expensive resorts we went to in the area. Breakfast was superb with so much choice and delicious things to choose from. We had some bad luck with the weather the morning we checked out, and it was not sure wether the flight would be canceled. Again super service from the manager who kept us up to date. Even had the driver wait at the airport to make sure we could have our flight. Again super service for a very reasonable price. We will surely come back again! 🙏🏻

We really enjoyed our stay at this super nice boutique resort. It is truly an oasis with its pool and rooftop bar. Incredibly friendly, attentive and helpful staff. To be honest the staff and attention to detail at the Funny Lion is better than most 5 star resorts. Cheers and we will be back.

Best rustic, boutique hotel in Coron! The amenities were great especially that it's like in the middle of the jungle. All the staff was very hospitable, kind, polite, they call you by your name and they smile all the time! Their infinity pool is warm and relaxing as well as their pride deck where you can watch the sunset while lounging in the jacuzzi especially during happy hour. I also love their buffet breakfast! You know it's a buffet that's cooked from the heart because it's really good, almost like home cooked kind of a food, unlike those greasy, mass manufactured food from other five star hotels! I would definitely go back to The Funny Lion for sure and would recommend it to my family and friends! Worth the money! :) PS I hope they’re taking good care of that behave, chubby cat wandering outside their resto near the garden. 🐱

We had the comfiest 5-night stay in Coron because of this cozy boutique resort. Their staff is most accommodating, food is so appetizing, the view is very pleasing to the eye and their rooms and amenities are gratifying. The Funny Lion's strong point is their staff, especially Ms. Jen at the front desk and Kuya Ian in the restaurant. They never failed to make us feel at home. The smiles and greetings every time we come across one of the staff are heart-warming and the thank you cards had a very personal touch. All of our needs are provided without even asking for it, from the towels in a tote bag every time we go on tour to a bottle of water beside the swimming pool to keep us hydrated. The next thing we love about this resort is its food and drinks. Complimentary breakfasts are served elegantly in generous portions with fruit slices and freshly brewed coffee. Daily yummy and fruity refreshments are also available every time we return from our tours. The Pride Rock rooftop bar offers classy-looking cocktails perfect for photo ops in the jacuzzi. Kuya Burnok deserves a commendation as well. Another plus point to The Funny Lion is it is close to Mother Nature and its love for the environment. While swimming in the pool, you are one with nature because of the surrounding trees. On the rooftop, while dipping in the jacuzzi, the Pride Rock is overlooking a beautiful sunset over the mountains above the sea. The whole resort is also covered with ornamental plants and grasses.

The Funny Lion is nestled in a luscious forestry. It is such a serene place and a wonderful place to stay in. The best part about this hotel is their staff. Everyone was very polite and hospitable. We really felt welcome and it felt like home. Their breakfast is hearty. Perfect to have before the tour of Coron 😊 I especially loved pride rock, where you can stay in the jacuzzi and watch the sunset. I miss this place already! Thank you to all the staff who made our stay very comfortable.

The Funny Lion is the place to be when you are in Coron. From the most cozy place they offer, amazing amenities, infinity pool, jacuzzi, the deck bar that let you see the scenic view of Coron Beaches, the staff specifically Sir JB (manager), Ms. Meah, front desk staff, the chefs, and everyone in The Funny Lion are all accomodating, kind, courteous and very thoughtful. The service they offer is incomparable. We so much loved staying in the Funny Lion that on our 2nd day, we plan to return soon God willing. Our favorite hotel in Coron! Spent 4 days at The Funny Lion for our honeymoon, our first trip since the pandemic, and it was hands down one of the best vacations we've ever had because of the amazing service, facilities, and gastronomic food. Everything about the hotel was 5-star quality. Thank you so much for treating us like VIPs during our stay. ROOM/FACILITIES: We booked the Pride Room. It was spacious, clean, and cozy. The bed was so comfy that we fell asleep as soon as we laid down. We loved the high-end modern nature-safari theme of the hotel as well where you're surrounded by beautiful plants. SERVICE: The staff were so attentive and made sure to make us feel at home. They were always one step ahead of us to attend to our our every need. They even prepared a surprise in our room when they found out that we were celebrating our honeymoon. They also made a romantic candlelit dinner setup by the pool. During our tours, they have a bag of towels ready for guests to borrow. I have nothing but good words for their customer service, truly the best we've experienced so far. FOOD/DRINKS: We were always looking forward to our breakfast every morning. Every dish that came out of their kitchen were big in serving and 10/10 in taste and presentation. Their Chef prepared an unforgettable 4-course meal for our candlelit dinner and our plates were wiped out clean! On our last day, they to buy us fresh seafood from the market and cooked a feast.

I had a good stay here for 4 nights. Their staff are very accommodating and friendly. Rooms are clean and very well maintained. They also have a view deck jacuzzi where you can chill out at night 👌

We had an unforgettable romantic dinner on February 14, 2021 at the poolside. The food was great; served by warm, friendly staff. Ambience is elegant yet relaxing. And what made it extra special is that, the manager — Jay Barinque was always around ensuring everything is well taken cared of. It's truly a remarkable experience. I give this hotel more than 5 star. Highly recommended.

I appreciate the courtesy of the staff, needs are well-attended to. It has spacious rooms and the service is very good. The Hunt Restaurant's soft music and candlelight, gave it a romantic ambience. Above all, the food is absolutely superb. The Funny Lion is an excellent place to unwind and relax.

We had a great experience with our recent stay at The Funny Lion resort in Coron.
The part that excels the most is the friendliness and professionalism of the staff from the security personnel, the reception area, to the dining area staff.
The rooms are spacious, clean and relaxing.
The hotel is of moderate distance from the town proper but still accessible.
Security and safety is not an issue and the staff are always ready to make sure your stay is pleasant. I'd stay here again when I come back to Coron.

Recently stayed here with my husband for our honeymoon and our experience was great and worth every penny even if the accomodation is expensive. Staffs were very friendly and courteous, ambience is superb especially the pool area. Facilities and room are clean and the food in the resto is quite expensive but good. There is also a van ready for your itenerary you just have to booked your preferred tours ahead. Downside only is the erratic Wifi but nevertheless worth the stay. Thanks Funny Lion for the memorable experience and souvenirs from you! will definitely recommend.

One of the best places to stay in Coron Town. Very good pool area and good restaurant. 10min from town in tricycle. Value for monay. Clean and good rooms.

The entrance and buildings are fairly unimpressive at first, but the rooms are very nice. There is a great view from the bar on top of the hotel, with two Jacuzzis and a happy hour. Service is top notch and they have a complimentary bar in room with free coke, juice, and sliced fruits. Breakfast is better than standard hotel breakfast, with a good variation. Very close to Coron town, where the boat rentals are.

Service is good. Staff attentive towards request. Location is slighty away from town but accessible thru tricycle ride (50peso). Slightly weak Wi-Fi access but this happens around in Coron.

Really great value for money. The only downside would be the staff who do not seem always very concerned with the requests of the customers, especially at the bar and in the restaurant where it is necessary to constantly solicit it, or even to get up, it is very painful.

We stayed at The Funny Lion for the Travel Continuously Summit in 2018. I could not be more impressed with the site and the service, beautiful rooms, infinity pool, friendly helpful staff and an amazing restaurant. I would recommend to anyone!

Lovely quiet hotel with a great pool and a phenomenal view from the roof top bar. The staff were super helpful. Pretty cheap for a tuk tuk down to the main town. I wouldn't say this is suitable for families more for couples to relax. The music and grill night was great.

Fantastic spot, great pool, awesome bar. The staff still need a few tips on resort etiquette but otherwise very friendly. Will come back again.

We had a wonderful stay at The Funny Lion. The private tours are highly recommended! Our tour guide was also great and spoke English very well. Fortunately, at our request, the hotel was able to organise it again for our next tour.
The hotel itself is rather small and familiar with clean and beautiful rooms. In the hotel's restaurant you can eat well and also the pool is very nice.
The rooftop bar with the two hot tubs is cosy and quiet. We enjoyed the breathtaking sunsets with a delicious cocktail from the bar.
The service is top! Luckily, when I noticed after leaving that I had forgotten something at the hotel, I even got it sent to Switzerland for a fee (customs). Thank you again for that!
Next time we go back to Coron, the Funny Lion is our first choice.

Funny Lion is a great stay! The location itself is far from the main part of Coron Town, so you will have to ask the the front desk to call down tricycles. The hotel is in a great spot with a great restaurant that has breakfast/lunch/dinner so you don't have to leave if you want. Also with a spa etc. The rooftop is the BEST at sundown to watch the sunset. Grab a beer/drink, or jump in a hottub! The rooms themselves are beautifully decorated, and the airconditioning is GREAT! I would definitely recommend anyone to stay here if it is in their budget!

Funny lion is little outside town, about 5 minuters with tricycle taxi. The hotel is clean and nice, staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast leave little more to wish for. The rooftop bar and view deck with hot tubs was a nice touch and perfect way to wind down after a day with Coron activities.

Amazing little resort hidden amongst nature. If there weren't so much to see it would be tempting to spend your entire trip at the resort! Rooms are comfortable and clean. Pool is large and there's a rooftop bar and Jacuzzi area.

Came here for dinner and the portion is good for the price. Very attentive staff as well. Better dine inside though as there are mosquitoes outside (pool side)

The hotel is great for a stopover in Corona. The location is great for relaxing after trips to the islands. On the Tricycle 50 pesos to the center. But to be honest we did not want to leave the hotel. Great rooftop bar with mind bending view and jacuzzi. The cocktails are super. The food in the restaurant is decent. Very clean and comfortable on the grounds. You can spend the day in the rest and relax.

Good service and food. Great views and cheap drinks. Rooms are comfy. Internet is a bit slow, and air conditioning doesn't really work so it's hot at night.

Great place to stay! The customer experience you can expect from this place is unreal. There were so many mishaps with my flight going to Coron and the Funny Lion was able to adapt to make all the logistics easier for me — from airport pickup to coordinating with Calamian Tours regarding my late arrival. Staff are amazing. Minimal time spent at the front desk to check in and out. The manager speaks with everyone eating at the restaurant making you feel like VIP. The bar upstairs has a great view of the sunset and has a large drinks selection. Restaurant by the infinity pool offers a great selection of food showcasing Filipino taste and a variety of continental cusines. I feel like I need a whole day at the Funny Lion just to experience all it has to offer. I definitely plan on coming back here the next time I'm in town. 100% recommend!

We stayed at the Funny Lion Inn (TFLI) that perfectly blended modern, industrial, tropical and safari vibe into an overall high end look and feel. Their rooms were very spacious, clean and comfortable though unfortunately we found to be lacking in shelving, storage and drawers. They brought daily drinks (sago't gulaman and buko pandan) to our room fridge and brought us pandan jelly shots during turndown service. They offered merienda cena that consisted of drinks and some Filipino snacks like puto and fried caramalized kamote at no additional cost. We were checked in at their largest room that had a view of the pool and the sunset. We were problematizing where to eat in Coron, but we ended up eating all our meals at the TFLI restaurant because there food was so great! (Rovilson Fernandez was actually there filming a foodie segment during one of our dinners). Their best seller for us was the pinangat na roulade (forgot the exact name of the dish). We learned that you can actually ask for the chef's special, an off menu dish for the day, but we failed to do this. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend TFLI tomoher travellers seeking to have an adventure in Coron!

This is an amazing hotel! The staff are incredibly friendly, rooms spacious and clean, beautiful pool and rooftop bar. The food and drinks are excellent. We will recommend this place to any of our friends travelling to Coron.

The staff, whether front desk, kitchen, bar, or maintenance, are all top notch — — friendly, accommodating, and they really go the extra mile. Honestly, I never write reviews, but our experience here was insanely positive; that's saying something considering our party was 11 people deep and we pretty much rolled together for everything. I usually don't eat hotel food, but you'd be remiss to abstain from the food these folks have to offer. Complimentary breakfast and "marienda" or snacks, are definitely highlights to any busy schedule, and if you're feeling boozy, happy hour is always a great time. I could sing this place's praises for a whole day, but I honestly believe that the team at Funny Lion Coron, Philippines has got their customer service experience on lock. They make you feel like a VIP any given day of the week. If you're ever considering a vacation in Coron, definitely consider them for your trip.

I may say funny lion is best resort in coron since they're offering best services and recent built facilities, however restaurant's food was somehow weired. I couldn't find the reason why but sometimes food is awesome, sometimes food was so smelly to eat.

I had the pleasure of staying at The Funny Lion for 3 nights 4 days. Although it was not my first time in Coron, I have to admit that I had never enjoyed my trip to Coron more than when I was able to stay at this resort. Coming home to such a comfortable and luxurious resort really helped me recover well for my next day of activities. Similarly, starting my day off with such a scrumptious and hearty breakfast helped me gain enough energy to last till the evening of touring and island hopping. The food is great, the staff are very attentive, and the rooms are to die for. I cannot wait to go back to Coron and stay at this resort! ♥ I absolutely recommend this resort.

This hotel sees to it that their clients have the best use of their amenities. Kudos to all the staff (reception, room cleaner, restaurant, massage, pool cleaner, driver) for an excellent service. It was indeed a very accomodating hotel and it's location to the town is very convenient. They even book for tricycle drivers to come and pick you up to go into town. The room was very spacious even for a cub room. Daily provision of drinks in the fridge (with no additional payment…) is a plus. A safe also enabled us to have confidence that our valuables are secured. And the use of organic shampoo/body wash was a good promotion for local produce. Daily brekky with different kind of dishes each day was also impressive. It catered to different clients. Their menu meals were good as well. Location of pool was well thought off. And the jacuzzi was a plus! This hotel will always be a reminder that we had a memorable stay in Coron!

That's a very nice hotel with friendly and helpful staff. The only two things that might need review are the following: Internet access and the price level if the (good) restaurant.

A very charming hotel! I was not sure what to expect upon my arrival, but the hotel staff is very attentionate, the room is bright and cozy, the pool is just amazing. The food was great, much better then anything I ate in the Philippines so far. The hotel was fully book during our stay, but it is still very quiet and relaxing, not overcrowded. Definitely the place to stay in Coron!

Amazing place to stay in coron. Truly amazing service, without even saying anything they left flower arrangements on the bed when I proposed to my girlfriend and also for her bday. Roof top bar is great place to catch a sunset. Will for sure stay there again if I go back to coron.

Considering that the construction areas inside and outside of the hotel will not remain forever I can rate it with 5 stars (currently there are build up two other hotels — one beside the Funny Lion Inn and another one on the other side of the street — and the rooftop is refurbished). Rooms are very clean, pool area is amazing, drinks (beer around 1, 50€, cocktails between 4-5€) and food (meals between 7-10€) are perfect. Staff is super attentive and very friendly. Coron center is 1km away. Tricycle costs 0, 50€ per person/one way. Ask for Allan as a driver. He knows how to handle tourists. He honestly recommends what one can do instead of selling island hopping trips in an intrusive way.

Very good service, if you have a complain they always try to solve it and give you solutions. The bedroom was good in terms of space and clean. Very comfortable beds. The restaurant is one of the best things of the hotel, delicious food.

Very good hotel if you have the money to stay there. They have a roof deck with 2 Jacuzzis and a bar area. At the bottom they have a swimming area and a restaurant in the vicinity. Very safe place with nice staff.
