Review of Lalaguna Villas Luxury Dive Resort and Spa 4*

We just got home from our 3 day vacation staying with Lalaguna Villas. We had such a great time. The great service started before we even arrived. The staff communicated with us well over facebook messenger. I was concerned with the hoops that would have to be junped through because of covid, but the staff did all the registration for us, and sent us our QR codes. We simply showed these at the port, and we were all set. I have hesitated to travel to other islands because I was unsure of how the ferry would work between islands. The ferry system between Batangas and Puerto Galera was very simple. The staff can give you the schedule. Once we arrive, the hotel sent us a speed boat to transfer us to the hotel. This was an additional fee, but well worth it. Upon arrival, we were greeted by Jennifer and Daniel. Daniel is part owner of the hotel, and he made himself available if we needed anything. We visited with him several times during our stay. The best part of staying here was the food. Everything we tried was delicious and reasonably priced. As an American living in the Philippines, I miss my western food. I was so happy with the options they had. The steaks were wonderful. Also, one of my pet peeves in the Philippines is restaurants that do not have the items in the menu available. I am happy to report that 100% of the menu items were actually available. The menu probably had 60 to 70 different meals. Also, the bar was well stocked with top-shelf brands, and the drinks were at reasonable prices. The staff is 1st class all the way. They all spoke very very good English. Benson was one of the main wait staff we were served by. He was wonderful. The others were great too, but Benson was our host most of the time. The rooms were large and clean. Everything at the hotel was very clean. The pool was a great temperature, and they had big umbrellas that would swing over the pool in the afternoon to give you some shade. On our last day, we arranged a snorkeling trip for our family. I let them know we had several beginners. They took us to the perfect spot. The water was calm, they kept a close eye out for our safety, and there were many fish and beautiful coral.
