Sundown Resort & Austrian Pension House

The room we stayed in was a little distance away from actual Sundown and completely separate, and rather than being beachfront is a distance up a small alleyway, so be aware of this. The room itself was really well appointed with a kitchenette, lots of storage space and a huge balcony. A very large room and really excellent value for white beach, the rooms here are kept clean and feel very livable especially well suited for a longer stay. The rooms are quite old, but really the only downside was a barely functional old small TV, with a grid of lines on, cable only. Large comfortable bed and very nice shower. The reception staff at Sundown itself were a bit unhelpful, and seemed disinterested in guests staying at this building. For a large comfortable room at great value this is hard to beat on White Beach.
We tried the food at the actual Sundown resort, and the tapsilog breakfast was by far the worst id ever had, 3 tiny little strips of fat, completely inedible, hard to believe they could even serve this. Terrible. Other food we tried there was very mediocre, but drinks are reasonable price at happy hour.

This restaurant also offers an Austrian-German menu, which we were really excited about – and it did not disappoint! The chef truly knows his craft.
We ate here for several days, but we didn’t stay at the hotel – we only came for the food. We even tried the schnitzel and cordon bleu. It was so good that we ordered it again.
A highlight: every day, they offer two different menus, usually consisting of four courses. The price-performance ratio is absolutely fair.
I highly recommend dining here and trying the Austrian-German dishes – they taste just like home!

Me&my husband enjoyed our stay in Sundown Beachfront Studios. The Studio had all the amenities we needed. Modern, spacious and a quiet aircondition. We love the beach/seaview from our balcony on the first floor. Sundown Studios had only 4 rooms, all with seaview. It's a midrange price category. But it was worth it. My special thanks to Sherwin and Shika, who Bassist our transportation and made our stay in Sundown Studios comfortable. The owner is a man from Germany, married to a Filipina.

We stayed here for 2 nights. It is a beach front resort in Station 3. Very accommodating and friendly staff. The place is quiet, it is so good to chill here. We booked air-conditioned rooms, it was clean and very comfortable plus the mini fridge 🤍. I recommend this place, so if you are planning to go to Boracay, book here at Sundown Resort. 🤍

Timeless elegance in a relaxing setting on the beach” — Hello Sundown hotel 🥰 Our stay at Sundown Resort was an excellent break. We stayed beach front on the 2nd floor and the views and the sound from the beach were splendid! Beyond the relaxing atmosphere of the resort, the next best part was the excellent service of Ms. Eva, shes very accomodating and pretty too☺️🥰 The staff was very attentive, professional and friendly. Thank you sooo much, I miss it already 😔 ill be back soon hehe 🥰❤️❤️❤️🏖️

An incident happened during our stay at Sundown Resort and Austrian Pension. Unfortunately, I broke the tempered glass on top of the table located in the balcony. I know it’s my fault and very much willing to pay for it (but of course at a reasonable amount and its actual price quoted by the Aluminum and Glass company only). The table is small and its only a 2-seater and the tempered glass thickness is, I think, 1/4. I talked to the Filipina wife of the owner asking for its price, but for some reason, she told me that they need to call the Aluminum and Glass company first so that they can measure the actual size first before company will quote for the exact amount. I was also worried since it's a Sunday and most businesses are closed and it's our check-out day as well. After the incident happened, I've also started researching online for an Aluminum and Glass company around Caticlan and Boracay and I even told the filipina wife that I will move to other hotel and if the company will not give the price on that same day, then I can be contacted anytime and of course willing to pay the amount of the tempered glass. But the Filipina wife said that I need to settle it on that same day. I also don't understand that she couldn't talk to me straight to my eyes as if she's hiding something from me, she will touch the table in the restaurant, will fix the table cloth even if everything is in order, etc while I was talking to her.

First and foremost, shoutout to the receptionist, son of the owner, and kind sir from Surigao for being friendly and accommodating. Check-in and check-out went without a hitch. For the location, you wouldn't find a better place if you're seeking peace and quiet away from the bustle of Station 2. The beach in front is just as great as well. A perfect continuation after Shangri-la Boracay. We stayed in their Wave room, a premier studio, which was very spacious, stocked with plenty of amenities. Everyday we had refreshed towels and beddings as well as coffee capsules for the included coffee maker. Tea, bottles of water, a fridge, and more were available as well. All what you really need. Their restaurant serves a Central European style cuisine and adorned with Central European designs/flags + Bayern München football team logos. Good food and service! Next time I'd love to have their St. Augustiner + Spaten as I miss having that in Munich. Lastly, they went beyond their hospitality by helping us pay a curfew violation that we acquired on Halloween. We couldn't pay this as we had an early flight out, so this was very kind of them. They sent us a receipt after payment. You can fully trust them, that's for sure. Overall, this property lives up to its name and logo. Enjoy a relaxing sundown every day between the coconut trees. Highly recommended!

So quiet and peaceful. Excellent food, great staff and the best sunset ever. And if you wanna party place you can just grab a motorcycle for 1$ and go to the club (s). When I am back home all my dreams and tears are for this fabulous place…

Super Restaurant mit fairen Preisen und toller Atmosphaere, direct am Beach.

We recently had the pleasure of eating at the Sundown Resort in Boracay. We had been traveling throughout the Philippines for about 5 weeks and found this to be one of the best meals we enjoyed in that time. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great spot on the beach to enjoy a great stone grill meal.
