Nice place, hospitable and a very accomodating staff. Downside is a maze like hallways…

Friendly staff, delicious food, reasonable price, clean, comfy and spacious room, excited for the next event here!

In a year, we often visit this hotel because of its good ambiance and kind employees however, despite of our loyalty, we still encounter unfortunate things such as inconsideration of other employees towards our simple concern. We only wanted to swim for one last time, and during our stay, we all encountered unfortunate things such as malfunctioning of air condition but we didn’t even say anything instead we talk to the employees politely. We also payed for another room just to satisfy our uncomfortableness during the last night but on this one concern, they did not even give us second doubts. They immediately said no to our request. Employees here don’t know the word compromised, I hope all of you are familiar with COSTUMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT. We are very disappointed with this matter. We will not recommend this hotel anymore.

Bad service. Unprofessional restaurant staff. We’ve stayed for almost a month but the staff didn’t notice that. They treated us like we can’t never pay for our bills. Pathetic Front Office clerks. They don’t know what they’re doing. Sub-standard service with barbaric attitude of your restaurant and housekeeping personnel. — 10 for over-all service.

I love the service and their food is super great breakfast, lunch, dinner and also snackss. I like the bathroom it's very practical and clean also the pool! My gosh it was so great free towel when you arrive at the pool area. And I recommend their pretty manager that always check her staff every morning just to make sure her guest us is well accommodated. And I feel rich by the way. The fire instructions, sign is everywhere which makes you feel safe that they are ready and we'll equipped in case of emergency…

Great service! And the room provided for us was very nice and could pass for a 5 star hotel. Very clean, new 2 flat led tv's and had extra bed for our daughter. We love manila grand opera hotel.

The Manila Grand Opera Hotel is a gorgeous hotel and perfect place to stay if you specifically want to be in the downtown area. This hotel is across the street from a grocery, a laundromat, a 7-11, and not far from several restaurants. Just about everyone speaks English so it's quite easy to find food and other items. The hotel rooms were kept neat and clean. The pool was perfect for the hot summer weather and gave my girlfriend and I plenty of enjoyment. My only disappointments were the lack of some necessary elements in a modern room. There's no place to hang wet clothing in the bathroom. There are no drawers next to the bed for small items. There were only 2 electrical outlets in the room. You absolutely will need an extension cable — or two. The staff was very friendly and very accommodating. I definitely would stay here again.

Our stay was relatively safe. Parking slots were limited but the guards made sure we left the key and they valet parked the car for us. Breakfast was average, I had hoped there were healthier options, such as vegetables. The staff were smiling and friendly. The pool was clean and large enough. The room could use faster and more stable Wifi. The mattress could be softer and 2 additional pillows would have been great (we just had 2). There was no hair dryer.

Welcome drinks were not provided. Though asked the front desk if we can avail it 5 hours after the check in because we thought we need to claim it through a coupon. Instruction for that was not given clearly. This experience though did not really stopped us from enjoying our stay. Upon check out, process is quick and personnel are friendly. I was actually confused about having a change around 300pesos but was later cleared that I don't really have. The thing that makes our stay almost satisfying was after I turned my back to the front desk officers, my sisters saw that they laughed at me. I did not saw it. But they asked me why they are laughing while looking at me behind my back. So I told the story about me being confused. Honestly, it is offending. I needed help to understand and make things clear but they laughed behind my back. But again, I did not catch them laughing on the spot. I said the information came from my sisters who were watching us by the lobby. Anyway, maybe this is just me being sensitive and quite easily offended. Other than that, everything seems fine and thank you for accommodating us well.

This is the 3rd time we attended a special event in their respective function rooms. I can say that I am not satisfied with the service and ambience of the events place. 1st bad thing is that you can hear very loud and clear the program and music of the event next to you. 2nd there is very minimal number of staff assisting the event. Imagine 4 waiters for 120pax. And literally as in "halos ayaw magserbisyo" you still need to call them to refill water on the guest tables and h…ow many time we approached a waiter to please let the coordinator tell the other room to please lower the volume of their mic and music mas malakas p dun s event namin… Food 3stars

As a first time guest in your hotel, I have noticed that you need to improve more on the cleanliness of the hotel. Especially inside the room. Although it is budget friendly hotel, I am not expecting a first class service. Bathroom towels are not so clean when we arrived. The smell inside the bathroom seems that it is not well ventilated… like a problem. With the drainage. But I can say we had a goodnight sleep and a good breakfast also. Overall, I can still recommend your hotel to other people looking for a place to relax in the city. I will still come back because of it's affordability. Thanks you and Good luck!

Restaurant was open and right in the lobby which make it informal and Stiff. — Restaurant Manager was polite, knowledgeable and accommodating which make it warm. All personnel are very friendly and helpful. I commend for your excellent services. We can to our friends for their stay here too. Foods are very nice.

The Hotel is very accessible. I reserved Premier Room for three days. The room is clean, neat, and has everything you need. However, I was little disappointed that my room has no "window" and sadly, the wall or partition of my room is made of plywood. I can hear the sound of chairs and other noise in the other rooms. Further, the staff are very courteous and helpful to the guest. Food is also great for Filipino guest.

I liked this hotel, after I could leave my bagage some days without problems. But now it's necessary to pay per day. Disappointed…

Great location. Lobby is nice. Ample parking space, but just like what most reviewers say, the rooms are dated. Even the TV is old. Props to room attendants for being so courteous and nice. This a great place to stay if you need accessibility. Grab could easily pick you up or you can commute via LRT.

The staff were cool, the locals were cool (Maybe 20-30 homeless sleeping on street side, small families as well). I never once felt unsafe. I have below the knee cast on my right leg for my 1st visit, they cared more if I was okay. Smokes work out to about 2-3p each not the 40p at least each in England, crash them out to everyone man and always pass them your lighter. Sight of almost Filipino declaration of Independence with support from The US of A. Nice plaque, picture too far back sorry ;) … 7/8 of ten. With a working ice box and fridge 9/10, stay happily again. Recommend couple's sauna, £7 20 mins. Cold shower same private mini complex. M.

The room is nice. Staff are corteus. Strong Wi-Fi. But they haven't upgraded their TV units yet.

This hotel is 9 years old and it is in a good condition. The staff is yung and now there job well. Nice pool and kids pool. Transportation is on the corner. Food can be better but service is great. Check my pic of the hotel.

Stayed here in November 2017. The hotel staff is very accomodating. The hotel is very near to convenience stores and Binondo. The train station is just around the corner of the hotel as well. Plus, the puto bongbong (pardon the spelling) they serve in their ground floor is very yummy! Thinking about it makes me want to go back and buy 1 box worth.

Poorly located at the seedy side of downtown Manila. Guests should be weary of taking a stroll at night. You can get mugged since this area is crime infested. Inadequate parking for those who drive to the hotel. Road side parking near the hotel is not really advisable.

It's a pretty dated hotel. The lobby is also flocked with old people lacking sleep from gambling all night. The lights are too dim. The beds are so tough! The TVs are not LCD and are those that has vacuum tubes in it. It also has an unbearable static when turned on. It also has a very noisy AC.

I am so excited to stay in this hotel coz. I read nice reviews about it BUT I am so dissapointed Well in the ground floor looks so classy and the restaurant, the staffs are very accommodating. The hotel looks great but when we enter to our room it has 2 doors, 1st door and like 1 meter away its another door. There is no window in my room althought it has big curtain lol The Tv is not flat screen and most of the channel is chappy! The warm lights on the back of the mirror is wrong, I cannot see my face clearly and there is no another light above it! And no extra small towel for hand and face! Smelly bathroom! Smells poop even you didn't poop yet! You have to ask a new Wi-Fi password every 24hrs in the front desk! You have to ask a coupon if I am going yo eat free breakfast! I have to ask a pool stab for me to use the pool! Have to sign if I request hair dryer! Those are so inconvenient for me! Well they have good things I enjoyed the pool. Food is great! I like the mini fridge! Like the mirror elevator! Great staffs! That's all! Very classy outside but the room sucks! Well rooms are different though! I am just sharing my experience in my room! So I am editing my review coz. I transfer to a new room. Which has window ✔ flatscreen Tv✔ better room✔ So if you are planning to stay here you can request for a better room if you're not happy with the room they give you.

Celebrated my birthday with their birthday promo. And even if the hotel was considered a 3-star, our stay was legit. Every hotel staff that you'll meet along the way will greet you, and the rooms were relaxing, especially the operating hours of their pool. Was totally surprised with the birthday cake as a bonus before leaving. Will definitely go back to relax ang unwine despite the hotel's location.

Very nice place! The rooms are great especially their function halls because it can accommodate thousands of participants. Also, the employees are very accommodating and approachable and the place is very accessible.

Functional rooms and ballrooms. Lack windows in some rooms. Straight-forward service with not much art or finesse. Good for the busy businessman on the move. Conveniently located near bus stations and the biggest flea market in the Philippines — Divisoria.

Suited if you have business activities in Manila. Nearbthe famous Divisoria and Binondo. Very accessible by LRT.

Its really amazing in this hotel than we book in others! We got disappointed part of makati hotel cause their bathroom so small than in grand opera.

I slept 3 nights clean I would say but the room didn't have the window I felt like I was staying in a bunker underground… To make me change they wanted an extra about 500, 00php a day! So if you should book ask for a room with the window… Good luck…

Place is great to stay. Practically cheap. Perfect for a cheap yet satisfying staycation. Breakfast buffet, use of Sauna and pools for an accomodation for only 1, 800. :) Casino guard is very rude.

Good place for conventions or trainings. The hotel is accessible to public transportation. Staff are courteous, facilities are ok, there's a pool though there's no gym. Rooms are ok, some have no windows, and be wary for 'red rooms' that remind of lodgings of a different kind of reputation. The downside is the lack of other things to do in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. Divisoria and Binondo are a stone's throw away, and the hotel offers shuttles to nearby malls.

Once probably a great hotel but right now it's just old. Staff wasn't helpful and gave me impression they don't like their work. As for the room, air-conditioning is noisy as hell, no view from the window and if anything it's pretty loud outside so better not to even look. Hotel is in the middle of the city, but be warned, at the same time it's one of the ugliest places in Manila.

Convenient good food and good customer service.

Strategic and historic. Strategic as it is very near Divisoria, a goid place for bargain goods. Histoic since it was formerly the "it" place for shows, gatherings etc.

If u r staying in manila this is an affordable and convenient place. They also have night only sleep rates for half the price… ask the counter directly… the restaurant is alright.
