In this unprecedented times proper/open communication should have been maintained by management.

Due to quarantine restrictions, I have a cancelled event which was fully paid last march 5. I have not requested for a refund until june in consideration of the unprecedented crisis we are in.
3 months after payment, when I reached out to initiate the request for refund they have STOPPED answering my emails (note request for refund was already during Gcq). They have started responding again, ONLY after I messaged their social media page and quoted DTI ruling on cancelled events, emphasized as well that the money was in their account for several months already.
In my emails (in which there was no response) I am only asking for a commitment date or at the least ANY feedback on the status of refund. This went on from June — August. Finally august 6 after reaching out to them again on their FB page, John of their events department called me and committed to have the refund ON or BEFORE August 28.
I was ok with it, wait for another 22 days at least they have responded. From August 6-27 I did not do additional follow ups in consideration again of the current situation and I have trusted that they will process a refund as committed. There was no update from them since then even if the commitment was on or before august 28. Thus on the 28th I emailed.
Was upset to find out that instead of a refund a chargeback letter was prepared on August 28. This means it will take another 1-2 weeks for their bank to process the charge and should there be problem between their bank and my bank, apparently they’re out of the case. They just advised me to “You may present the chargeback letter to your bank, Ma’am. ” I am shocked and extremely stressed with the management’s courses of action in addressing this. I Was ok with the 22 days processing period ON TOP of the several months that money’s with them and months of follow up on the understanding that they will do a refund and not chargeback (chargeback is debit to my credit card account). After the lack of response, you will prepare a chargeback letter on the afternoon of the last day you have committed for the REFUND?. In 2 weeks time I will have a DEBIT balance in my credit card for a payment done March 5 paid in March. Meaning after 2 weeks and 6 months I will not receive a refund rather a debit balance (a substantial amount at that). The management of primea might have missed that they are not the only one affected by this pandemic.
