Very clean and very friendly staff. Breakfast is also good. Just a downside though… They don’t remove the strings on their longanisa. If not for that, I’d rate the hotel at 9 with 10 as the highest. My personal rating though is still at 8. 👍👍👍

The staff are very very accomodating. Their rooms are clean although there is no refrigerator but that's fine. Oh my god their food? — — — — AFFORDABLE! Beachfront it is and I so love the big waves. Went surfing with the whole family and it was great! Huge waves though so if you have kids, make sure to look after them talaga. We are plannong to come back! ♥♥♥

We had a great 2 night stay at Playa Azul recently. The staff are very helpful and always smiling. The place is relaxing ang peaceful. My husband and I will stay there again someday.

The place is good, what I really like the most was when we had to cancel our second day due to typhoon and gave us the money back without any hesitations. Iced coffee is to die for. :)

Saved my vacation after a horrendous start. Transferred here from another hotel and it was worth it though this is a bit pricier, but I dont mind. The staff are attentive and requests are easily delivered. The room is clean and the beds and pillows are comfortable. The aircon also is well maintained. Beachfront! Can't get any nearer than this!

The hotel is clean. Loved the T&B! Our room was fronting the beach. Great staff, very courteous. The room rate is worth. Food was great and servings were overwhelmingly alot for the 3 of us, however, we shared our leftovers to the locals instead of puttin em to the bins.

Above average hotel in baler. They allow d us to bring our dogs with no extra charge. We just had to make sure that we cleaned up well after. Food is above average and affordable. Good rooms!

PROS: The place is new and located in front of the beach. The beach is not too crowded. We booked a room for 4 people with 2 comfortable queen beds. The bathroom was spacious and clean. Basic toiletries and towels are provided. The restaurant serves delicious food with few minutes waiting time compared to other restaurants by the beach. CONS: The place is located relatively far from the "baywalk" where all other restaurants (Hungry surfer, Yellow Fin, Charlie does…) and resorts are found. We had to ride a tricycle to get there. The price of the room is also quite expensive because you can find a lot cheaper accommodation in the area. There is free Wi-Fi in the restaurant but it is not accessible in our room which is on the 2nd floor.

Location was amazing with a good spot for surfing just across the sea shore. Staff was friendly and accomodating. I think what need to improve is to just provide facial tissue for the guest.

New hotel and this place is cozy.

It was a good experience until they told us that one towel in our room is missing. We told them to search our bags but they refused. They only replenished 3 towels instead of 4 the night before but the hk staff said it was 4. We paid for it but its their word against ours. The hk staff insisted, to cut it short we still paid. The chubby managers desicion to let us pay and not search our bags is a big mistake. She should have let it pass and made our entire stay pleasant. By the way, they do not issue official receipts on food, I had to ask them myself and who would take towels from a small hotel in Baler?

Location of the hotel is brilliant! Staff was friendly and very accommodating. The lobby is open to wind though which can mean you have windy dinners and often hear a room door slam due to a gust blowing them shut. The room itself is spacious and modern, very comfortable!

Hotel Manager Aika Angara sees to it that every single detail is as it should be. All the guests needs are attended to, as we have witnessed her do it for all the other guests. The food at the in-house restaurant is great, as well as reasonably priced. The menu itself is a refreshing set of choices. The entire staff is courteous and very accommodating. We just love the attention, all the way till departure day. A testament for tourists, local and foreign alike, of the Pinoy's openness and welcoming nature.

My husband and I stayed for the first time here in Playa Azul last weekend. I have to say that I slept very well. The room was cozy and quiet, perfect location. The bed and sheets were very relaxing and clean. We have been coming to Baler for more than 5 years now and lately the lodging area in Sabang beach are becoming crowded and very noisy during slumber time. So this hotel is perfect for resting and relaxing. And the food was amazing, very sumptuous! We tried their burgers, salads, pasta, buffalo wings, (to die for! ) beef casserole, mussels, etc. Salads, pastas and sauces were made from scratch — not canned and store-brought. Some of my friends who also stayed here last weekend requested for a "boodle feast" and it did not disappoint! The squid was cooked perfectly, meats were tender and the marinade was very tasty. The seafood choice was kind of limited though, but maybe next time they could have more choices since it was an impromptu request. My only minor, bad comment is the glass door in the shower area of the room — it slams quite hard and is prone to break. But other than that, everything is wonderful. Ms. Aika Angara, the hotel manager, was very hands-on, warm, courteous, professional and pleasant. We will definitely come back, especially to eat. Playa Azul Baler is very recommendable.
