So let me start by saying that there was a mix up in the reservations and we were only able to stay at J&R for 2 of the 5 nights we had reserved. Jilo & Ralf went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of, even when we moved to another location. They continued to pick us up to go diving every day. They even washed my laundry for me! These two people are absolute gems! They took a bad situation and made it the best it could be.
And the resort is a piece of paradise. So beautiful, quiet and serene. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The food was excellent and the staff went out of their way to make our short stay wonderful. Obviously a reflection of the owners. I would not hesitate to go back to J&R Residences. If you’re going to Anda, this is where you want to be!
Beth and I spent a week at this outstanding property. I was initially cautious about staying at a privately owned boutique resort. That concern proved unfounded. The resort is professionally managed and genuinely welcoming.
Some reviewers have criticised the unsealed section of road leading to the property. For clarity, the unsealed portion is approximately 980 meters. It is not severe and is easily navigated with sensible driving. It would only present a problem if someone ignored the conditions. The brief three minute drive is a small trade off for what awaits at the end.
The resort is exceptionally well maintained. Our room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. The food quality was consistently high with good variety. Service standards were strong throughout our stay. Staff were warm, attentive and well trained. The presence of the owners onsite clearly contributes to the culture and operational discipline. We felt safe and secure at all times.
Beth’s family joined us in a separate shared room while we stayed in the Penthouse Suite. The elevated views across the beach and water were calming and restorative. Sitting on the balcony with a cold San Miguel in the late afternoon became a daily ritual.
With only around ten rooms the property feels exclusive without being pretentious. Many guests leave during the day for tours, which keeps the pool and beach areas quiet and relaxed.

Really nice small resort. Very well maintained. German owner so up to european standards. Hot shower with good pressure, comfy bed, advertised as +2m bed but its not, it was 2m exact. There is no bumgun and not allowed to flush toiletpaper, so a stinky trashcan which I hated! Also no trash can in the room. Good fridge, filled with drinks for a reasonable price, and amazing restaurant, plenty of choice and not very expensive. There was German beer! I REPEAT, I drank weissen stefaner in PH! The view is amazing and the owners very friendly. If you want to go diving in Anda, this is a really nice resort as a base, they do not offer scuba. They offer bike rental but very overpriced! A 5 minute walk to the couple down the street and you get a amazing new bike for less then half the price per day and a nixe conversation with it! No Wi-Fi in the room but outside and on balcony perfect connection. The road to the resort is really bad but I still managed to drive 20km/h on the bike so its very doable! I would come again, and would have stayed much longer if it wrre possible, without a doubt!
