Mango's Beachfront Resort

Ji booked a room asking for a beach view. On arrival I was told that the room I booked didn't have this. I pointed out that I had written in the comments box that I wanted a beach view. I would have booked another hotel had I known. Whilst the front of house staff were polite and accommodating, they offered me an upgrade which I accepted, wish I hadn't as the rooms are tired and dated. Nothing like the photos. The receptionist then presented me a bill for the upgrade! P1600. I was under the impression it was complimentary due to the misunderstanding. Disappointing start. I nearly left but after a 6 hour drive I didn' t want to be traipsing around hotels.
The hotel, typical of the area, looks used, tired, and needs a lick of paint. Let's see how the next two days go.
So a day has passed. The staff have been diamond with us and the young one. Polite, eager to please and readily available to help in any way.
I'm still peeved about the room booking and now put that down to Agoda.
Would I recommend this place… it's ok for the price. The smaller room are pokey and horrible, the supreme room is far better.

Didn't really enjoy this hotel. The only good thing about it is that it backs onto the beach. Food at the beachside bar was okay. Staff were friendly and helpful. But I was plagued by mosquitoes and itching all the time. I had to cut my 3 day stay to 2 and head back to Manila because of the itching. On a very busy and noisy road.

It's perfect location for sea swimming and activities. Only 10m from hotel to beach and staff is so kind.
However room was very noisy from roadside and cockroach in the bathroom.

Staff is super nice and helpful. Location is good, right at the beach.

We stayed one night only but I like the services. Start with the very pretty and charming receptionist, the good man at the bar for being so honest and those ladies who played billiards with me. They have a live band and the singers are great. But what amazed me was the quite large room for a very good price. It was a holy week when we were there. The resort is perfect for family holidays with kids. My boyfriend and I will surely go back there together with my family. ♥️

1970's decor hotel, no restaurant at the hotel, just a separate business running at the exact location. Food and drink cannot be tabbed to the room, only paid in cash. Sells itself as a PADI dive hotel yet the PADI dive center is another separate business. (Staff at the PADI center have no clue how PADI certification works) room was not clean and a used disposable razor was found in the shower. This was reported to staff, yet despite this, the razor was still there after the room had been cleaned! The room had a fridge complete with a mini bar, yet on arrival fridge was unplugged and the contents were warm. Remains of ice trays were melted and water filled the ice box. The patio/balcony door was poorly fitted and each whisper from the beach below could be heard. The stairs leading to the room from the ground floor had ceramic tiles that were loose and posed a considerable risk of tripping. The whole site was poorly maintained. The beach directly outside was dirty and covered in trash. There was open sewage discharged onto the beach 20 yards from the hotel. The photo of room 8 as shown (the room I stayed in) does not show the crappy cheap US-style door handle and lock that offers no security what so ever.

Good rates and it's right on the beach. The barman was awesome and a super nice person. However there is noise until around 12 from the bar nearby so not great if you are trying to get to sleep!

Very satisfied with my stay. I went diving with them, they are professional and handled everything. The restaurant is right on the beach and has very good food. Room was fine, nothing special. Worth the price all around.

Very friendly hotel with a nice outside bar/restaurant.
The dive center is great too. Which is very convenient if you stay at the same place as your dive centr is.

Small and dilapidated.
The flow of the water is small and the temperature can't adjust.
I don't understand why the wardrobe is inside the toilet which mean my clothes and belongings need to store in a moisture space and there no any extra space or chair for putting my bags.
Shower gel and shampoo is suck and it is in anticipation.
Last but not least, totally felt confused of the quilt, it can't called quilt as well, it is just a extreme thin cover sheet, even thinner than "condom". Luckily, the air-con is strong and work.

This is an excellent choice when visiting Subic/Baretto. Alan, Gretchen and Martin are super welcoming, and push the boat out to make the place somewhere where everyone feels welcome; whether you are a single traveller, just having a quiet break, or a group looking to have a blast!
Like many venues in Baretto, there’s a pool league that happens on a Tuesday and a Friday, giving ample opportunity to browse around, however Wednesdays has the best quiz in town, which is more of a “social gathering” where you can simply pitch up and ply your vast/limited knowledge in the hope of obtaining a few free drinks! There you will find Craig, who will instruct you in exploring the many aquatic delights of subic bay scuba wise, and the food and service is always guaranteed a smile too. Long established as having been well owned, well run and a great place for a few jars, you should definitely give this place a try when in the area.

I was not aware the policy of not allow bringing outside food and Sheena did reminded me about that. And then she attentively asked what was my concern about ordering delivery.
I told her I want home style korean noodles and she immediately accommodate my needs. Very appreciate the personalised service and it definitely put a grim on my place whenever I think of this warming and caring hotel staff.

The location is 2nd to none. We had one of the 3 rooms right on the beach. Not sure it’s worth the extra peso’s we had to pay though because the whole place is very tired and could really do with an update. It feels very unloved. The restaurant is good and having the dive shop on site is so convenient. The staff are really helpful and friendly.

For the price this is a very good place to stay in SUBIC. The rooms are basic but clean, they are right on the water, staff is super friendly and helpful. There is a well maintained dive shop right in the hotel with boats steps away from the hotel. I came here for a side mount clinic through Andy Davis Technical Diving and this proved to be an ideal location for the clinic.
