In 2015 I stayed at Yacuruna Hostel and coordinated with Winston a visit to the jungle. It was an unforgettable experience, which I will always keep in my memory. Not only for the human warmth of Winston and his family, but for the impressive sleeping experience in that Hostel that keeps details of the jungle and its mysterious traditions in all its corners. 100 percent recommended for adventurous travelers who want to experience something out of the ordinary.

Super friendly and helpful owner Luis, is happy to share information about trips, boats and onward travel. Hostel location is second to none, close to town centre but with a tranquil river view.
We were even able to meet a sloth who was staying in the hostel for a while after being rescued.

A small hostel. Nice terrace with a river view. Ok Wi-Fi. Toilet and shower are together and there's no curtain. No hot water, but that is totally ok in this climate. No kitchen. Walls are very thin. All in all, a bit pricey for what you get.
