Hotel Solec

Solec Business Hotel has parking, but it is the subject of many complaints. Guests note that the garage is very small, accommodating a maximum of three cars, and it does not have a roof. Due to the limited space, cars must be parked in several rows, which forces guests to move their vehicles even early in the morning at the request of the staff. Additionally, there was a recorded instance where a car was scratched, and the administration refused to take responsibility.

Opinions about the staff are divided. Some guests praise the employees for their friendliness and attentiveness, specifically highlighting a staff member named Ela. On the other hand, many complain about unprofessionalism, rudeness at the reception, and an inability to provide correct information. There have been cases where guests encountered booking errors, such as being informed upon arrival that there were no available rooms despite having paid in advance.

When paying by card, the hotel charges an additional commission of 5%, which some guests have described as illegal and incorrect. Problems with refunds are also mentioned: guests complain that refunds for erroneously charged amounts or prepayments are requested for a period of up to 7 business days, but are sometimes delayed or returned partially.

The hotel provides a buffet-style breakfast. Many guests rate it as very diverse, comprehensive, and high-quality. However, it is noted that if you arrive too late, the selection of dishes may be limited, and the staff responsible for replenishing the food sometimes lack empathy toward the guests.

The Wi-Fi in the hotel is unstable. Specifically, one guest reported that the television in their room was not connected to the network, making it impossible to use the internet through it.

The soundproofing in the hotel is rated as poor. Guests complain about noise from neighbors, including loud moaning from adjacent rooms. Annoying sounds from air conditioning units, noise from the drainage system in rooms on upper floors, and the sound of fans that interfere with sleep are also mentioned.

The condition of the rooms is inconsistent. Some guests find the rooms spacious and clean, but others report significant wear and tear: old furniture, rusty chairs, broken bathroom doors, and mold on the ceilings. There are complaints regarding the quality of the bed linens (yellowish color) and sagging mattresses. It is also mentioned that the actual condition of some rooms does not match the photos found online.

The air conditioning system operates intermittently. Some rooms lack remote controls, making it impossible to adjust the temperature. The air conditioners often operate very noisily. Additionally, poor ventilation is mentioned in rooms with windows facing the inner courtyard, which creates discomfort in the hot climate of Chiclayo.

Many guests note good daily cleaning and cleanliness in the rooms. However, there are opposite reviews mentioning cobwebs on blankets in wardrobes, dust, and a general state of neglect in some rooms.

The hotel is equipped with an elevator, which facilitates access to the rooms. Nevertheless, guests staying on the fourth floor complained about the lack of lighting in the corridors, meaning they had to use a phone flashlight to find the entrance to their room.

Yes, the hotel positions itself as Dog Friendly, which was very much appreciated by guests traveling with dogs.
