The Upcycled Hostel

Really nice hostel. You have to walk a few minutes into the small town but that is easy to make. The Hostel has good breakfast and you can also order food in the evening. So if you are going to Huacachina this is a good choice.

A nice quiet hostel within easy walking distance to the oasis. The staff were so nice and helpful. The frigate room was very comfortable and had hot showers.

Amazing looking hostel with a pool. Slightly overpriced for the rooms but very clean and pleasant stay.
Walls are very thin so we could hear everything from the adjoining rooms.

Really nice chilled out hostel, perfect if you are wanting to stay somewhere really nice but don't want to be in a party hostel. The garden and pool area is stunning! Our room was spacious, clean, and had a really comfortable bed. Shared bathrooms were always clean. The included breakfast is decent but the vegetarian options on the regular menu could be improved, the lentil burger was pretty terrible. Only a 10 minute walk into the oasis or 5 soles in a tuktuk taxi.

Super clean and cute Hostel! When you want to go to the lagoon you can easy take a tuktuk for 5-7soles or just walk 15min.
They also have a super chatty Cat and besides that a good breakfast. The only thing is there is no mosquitonet so make sure you have repelente with you or ask for a fan. (It would be a easy/great update if they would install them so you can let the window open during the night. ) :)

Loved it here, clean pool, affordable and good food, not too crowded but still possible to party a little bit, good drinks and awesome flair and chill area.

The Upcycled Hostel Team with Fatima, Andrea und Co. Is amazing and incredibly helpful and kind. They even planned with us a little birthday surprise for a friend. The hostel is a little oasis: green, colorful, surrounded by impressive dunes and has everything you need (a cool bar, good music, little restaurant, pool, enough cozy seats to hang out). We could use all facilities after check-out for the entire day. Rooms are simple and clean. Only downside: it gets hot at night as there is no A/C. The walk to the oasis is completely manageable (~15 mins or quicker with a Tuktuk, 5 soles for 2 people). Minimarkets and restaurants are around. On the weekend, the surrounding clubs are crazy busy but the music is not an issue. Would definitely come again! Thanks so much Fatima and Andrea for your amazing help :-)!

Loved this place, really good value and so much better than in the oasis (unless you want a loud party vibe). The rooms were great and we had a portable aircon which is unheard of in this area for the price. Everything was really clean, great vibe feels more like a hotel. Super close to the oasis.

Fine place. Unfortunately the hostel damaged our belongings (not on purpose). All combined was worth more then our entire stay and food and drinks combined. After the staff laughed at how stupid their mistake was, they offered, after long negotiation, at first 50 soles and later 100 soles (around 25 dollars) of compensation. Which was a 5th of our total damage.
So again, nice place, but very unpleasant ending.

Great hostel! Unfortunately, we only stayed for one night, but it was fantastic. The staff were super friendly. Beautiful grounds, perfect for a relaxing day by the pool. Clean and tidy rooms. We felt very comfortable. The only downside was that it wasn’t communicated online that paying for the rooms with a card incurs an extra 5% charge. This is common in Peru, but usually, you’re informed beforehand, so you can prepare cash.

Fantastic place for a quick stop over in Huacachina if you want to be a little bit away and stay somewhere calm and comfy. The Hostel (if you can call it this, it's absolutely beautiful! ) has a pool, an open air bar and two levels of rooms.
We stayed in a private room which was stylish, very clean and with two towels and breakfast included. The bed was really comfy and the room well decorated with nice lamps and a table and chair. It was a good sidze too. We shared a bathroom but it was impeccably clean.
The bar and food area is lovely. We had lunch and dinner there and the food was very reasonably priced and dinner was exceptionally tasty. The pesto pasta was so nice!
The staff were *wonderful* Fatima helped me via Booking. Com messenger to arrange a one way trip to Nazca as we were travelling on to Arequipa. She booked the flyover and we bought a private driving tour of the museum and several archaeological sites, the aqueducts were stunning, it was well priced and she was so helpful all the way! A huge thanks for making our short stay so enjoyable. We'd recommend this place to anyone!

We initially debated whether to stay here (due to location), but I’m so glad we did! While we considered staying in the oasis, this hostel turned out to be everything we needed. Fatima and Luis are an amazing duo who create a warm and welcoming atmosphere and the rest of the team ensures the entire hostel is impeccably clean.
When our night bus got cancelled, the team went above and beyond to help. The owner even drove some guests to the bus terminal at midnight to secure refunds, while Luis worked on a backup plan for the rest of the group, offering to accommodate everyone if necessary.
By staying outside the center, we avoided all the noise from construction & the constant hassle of being asked about tours. The hostel itself is really chilled out in the day with beautiful decor, a nice pool and great food options.
Getting to the center is easy—it’s just a 10-minute walk or a quick, inexpensive tuk-tuk ride away.
We’ve stayed in many hostels and hotels, and this one strikes the perfect balance between the two. It’s a prime example of genuine hospitality—unlike some places where they seem more focused on asking for reviews rather than improving your experience.

Probably definitely the best place to stay in Ica/Huacachina. It’s a 10 minute walk to the oasis. The staff is very friendly. Luis, who also works at the bar, is a great host and will make you feel very welcome. There is a fan in the room that will cover any noise if you are worried about that.

This hostel not only looks great but has great service too from kind staff. The beds were very comfortable and the food was delicious. Massive thanks to Luís for putting on the best cocktail making class! It is 10 mins from Huacachina which is perfect for seeing the sights of the desert.

Had a fantastic time, shout out to Jose and Luis who made it so much fun. Good free breakfast and the vibes were chill but also really fun at night. Would 100% recommend.

Luis, Jose, Fatima, and the rest of the staff were amazing. This place is run so well with the most welcoming atmosphere you could ever ask for. Random Pisco tasting Tuesday night was a real treat! Clean rooms and great vibes, don't pass this place up!

We stayed 1 night at upcycled hostel and actually wish we had more time to spend longer! The room was nice but the best features are the outdoor area with pool and seating. It had a really cool vibe to it. They serve breakfast which was nice and we ordered some food for lunch which was tasty and big portions. Wifi worked well.
Its a short walk into Huacachina (about 15 minutes max) and I’d say worth the walk to save the money on extortionate prices of hostels in Huacachina.
