This was a great hotel to stay for a very reasonable price, right next to the bus stop. The staff is friendly and helpful, especially Sonya, who checked us in really quick, and Chacon, who had great breakfast for us ready at 5.30am, which helped us start the Machu Picchu journey in the best possible way.
Just be aware that some rooms face the train tracks (like lots of hotels in Aguas Calientes), there could be some noise during the train departure/arrival.

Chaco was an excellent host. Well worth the stay. The king bed was amazing and firm. Great location. Close to the station and restaurants at your door step.
It was a smooth check in process, the people are kind like most peruian people are.
I travelled here with my wife and having a king bed felt great.

The location, slightly off the rail, was great. The hotel restaurant, Ponchos, is fantastic! My room only had a window to the exhaust/chimney…so no light and no fresh air. My room was around 30 degrees Celsius all night long, making sleep uncomfortable. The staff was helpful.

Friendly staff. They came to pick us up from the train station. Beautiful views of the mountains from the windows. Couple of minutes walk from the train station and bus stop for Machu Picchu. Very conveniently located. We enjoyed the dinner at this hotel as well.

Bathroom smelled a little bit of canalization sometimes. I don't think it's fare to be asked to pay an add. 10% service fee!
Very comfy beds, hot shower with very good stream, clean and warm room, cute little balcony. We booked a room with twin beds and pulled them together to have more space. You get 10% discount in the restaurant (vegan + vegetarian options), price normal like everywhere else in town; very good breakfast. Great location — very close to bus station and arrivimg train station! Room looks like in the pictures. You can also borrow a hair dryer!

Decent hotel. There is noise from the train going past and the restaurants downstairs. But it is in a good location, very close to the train station and bus stop for Machu Picchu. Also lovely service — came to pick us up from the train station and take us to the hotel. They also tried to understand our timing for Machu Picchu to make sure we could have breakfast beforehand and store the bags. Beds comfortable enough. Wi-Fi was working the rooms but weak signal.

While we didn’t have high expectations of the hotel, we were disappointed in a few things given other really great reviews during our two night stay. First, we were initially given a room where the bathroom plumbing did not work (toilet didn’t flush and the sink did not drain at all) and the window in the bathroom was broken. The staff kindly moved us to a different room in which plumbing was functional at first, but soon the sink did not drain at all and the basin was full to the brim with standing water for our entire stay (even after cleaning staff came and refreshed the room). Wifi connection is not available from your room, only the lobby. No AC so it was quite warm. Rooms were not the cleanest, and when cleaning staff came in to refresh the room while we were out they left our door unlocked, and also left the balcony door wide open so our room was full of mosquitoes upon return. There was very also loud music being played from the restaurant below that lasted late in the night. Overall, wouldn’t recommend.

The only good thing was that the hotel was clean.
However, it was extremely hot and humid. There was no AC, and when I asked for a fan, it wasn't available.
Additionally, it was loud with people playing music all night and singing.
The washroom didn't have an exhaust fan and fogged up within minutes. Although the booking page mentioned hair dryers were available, they didn’t have any.
Furthermore, the property charged me additional taxes, despite the pamphlet in the hotel stating that tourists (foreigners) are exempt.
