Main thing here is the price, definetely affordable. Rooms are for the rest very basic. Clean for sure, but no luxury to be expected. Early breakfast offered, just ok.

The room was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. The size is okay for four people, although there isn't much extra space to move around. The bathroom had basic hygiene items, and the shower had good water pressure, although the shower area was small.
All the staff were polite and attentive. Breakfast was quite basic but tasty. The location is excellent, close to the train station.
Our room had windows facing the internal hallway with the stairs and the breakfast area, so we could hear every time someone passed by or talked, which could be a problem for guests who are sensitive to noise. Because of the noise, we had to keep the windows closed, which created a feeling of claustrophobia. We asked for a small fan to help with that discomfort. The power outlets seemed wider than normal, and our plugs didn't fit properly, even when using adapters.

Really nice hostel. Fair price and great breakfast starting from 5am so you can still have it even when you're leaving early to Machu Picchu. The staff was super welcoming and friendly and everything was clean. The hot water worked really well and I can definitely recommend staying here.

The staff was great. Our room was on the 4th floor and walking up and down the stairs sucked. The room smelled musty but it was clean. Comes with breakfast It was reasonably priced.

I do not recommend this hostel, if you’re in a pinch it’ll do the job but there are plenty of other options that might better suite you.
Bads: Shower smelled like mildew. Residents and staff started making noise very early, would ring bells at 7am we could hear from the 4th floor. Didn’t have any sound blockage. We couldn’t stay up talking at a reasonable voice without the staff calling to tell us to “quiet down. ” Staff would blare music during early morning middle of day while cleaning (basically don’t expect to sleep in if you want to). Breakfast is very early and ends by 8. Unless you’re an early traveler you’re going to miss it. Constantly ran out of toilet paper and they did not restock (this led to some bathroom drama). No hand towels provided.
Goods: plenty of bedding to keep you warm. Location is ideal, but so is every spot here as it’s a tiny town.

The room was clean and comfortable. Good location and excellent value for the price. People keeping the place were always friendly and very helpful. Overall a good place to stay :)

Demand determines the price: Everywhere else I'd call this a rather shabby place, not so clean, tiny room with no window, moldy smell from the bathroom, warm water only in the shower, breakfast is basic (and only until 8h).
But the location is perfect, Wi-Fi ok, and one can *only* stay in Aguas Calientes to be able to get to Machu Picchu, where most hotels cater like this for us 1-day tourists.
So: Fine for a night!

Awful service and transparency. I made a reservation with booking (non refundable) in this hotel for two nights. I could not go the first night because I got sick neither contact them. I called them next day to explain. I would join them the second night and of course, pay the two nights. They told me the booking was cancelled by Booking and they could not do much.
After contacting Booking, they confirmed the hotel was the one which cancelled and rebooked my room to someone else without trying to contact me. Not only that, they refused to reimburse one night or find an alternative.

Lovely place, friendly staff, quiet, good breakfast.
But the shower oscillates between boiling hot and freezing cold and there's nothing you can do about it. Horrible!

Pick up service from train, good location, comfy, warm bed, got an hair dryer right on check in, hot shower, very clean. Wi-Fi in the rooms is okay, but pretty good in the lobby. Breakfast is okay. Rooms are small and missing storage space and something to hook.

Definitely not the best hoyel in town. Our room was clean but too basic: no hand towel, only shower towel, no exterior window… Our room was on the 4th floor, no elevator, very steep stairs. Breakfast was too basic, and they did not replenish empty trays. My advice: pay a little more and stay somewhere else.

Nice staff and rooms are clean.
Very noisy you hear everything from the streets or other rooms.
Showers are hard to operate they are too hot or too cold.
Wifi is very poor — unusable.
Breakfast more than basic as well.
Still good price-performance ratio. For one or too nights sufficient.

Would not recommend this hotel at all. You can hear everything from other rooms. No elevator, just staircase. When I was showering the water kept going from Cold to Hot, back and fourth. Their was a vent at the top of the shower with a big hole in the wall. You have to slam the doors in order for them too shut close.
