Sky Dome Peru

We had an amazing stay at Sky Dome peru. The family running it is extremely helpful and hospitable. And the domes are super clean and big with a direct view to the sky overhead. We had a great cooking class, amazing food and a picnic with alpacas. It was an experience of a lifetime. Thank you!

We loved the place for its location. Perfect for stargazing and connecting with nature. The owners are the sweetest and most accommodating hosts we've had in Peru. They also offer various experiences like cooking class, picnicking with alpacas and more. The food was delicious too!

I never imagined a picnic could feel this special. Everything was thoughtfully arranged: a cozy blanket with cushions, a basket full of fresh, delicious local food, and the best part… alpacas gently roaming around us!
I felt completely at peace, surrounded by nature and breathtaking mountain views. The alpacas were so soft and curious — they calmly approached as we ate, like they wanted to join us.
It was such a thoughtful and heartwarming experience. You can feel the love they put into every detail. I left with a full heart. Thank you for such a unique memory!

This family owned sky dome has been an amazing experience! They have a homemade dinner available for purchase, and they showed us how to cook as well. The view of the mountains and the family's hospitality is unbeatable, I wish we were here more than one night. I'm so glad we came to the countryside to experience the Sky Dome Peru!

We stayed in Skydome one night and it was one of the best experiences we did in Peru. Cidelia and Yoel are the perfect hosts. They also provided us a walking tour with their alpacas to Machuqolca ruins. I really recommend to go and enjoy amazing starry sky through the domes. They also serves delicious dinners. Just go there and try :)

My cousin and I had the pleasure of staying at the skydome for 2 nights. It was such an amazing stay and the owners were so accommodating. The food they make is unreal and we even had the pleasure of learning how to make some of the dishes.
I cannot wait to bring my family back there one day. We also did the alpaca trek to the machuqolqa ruins which was so special and the waccsichi medicine experience which we came out feeling completely rejuvenated. Thank you guys for making it feel like a home away from home 🙏♥️😊

While Machu Picchu was a humbling and beautiful experience, it was rushed. We weren't able to sit and enjoy the atmosphere. At the Sky Domes, we were immersed in the land's beauty. We rented all three domes for the family. Each Dome had a spectacular view and was clean, beautiful, and cozy. We woke up to see and breathe in the magnificence of the Andes.
That evening, they taught us how to cook Loma Saltado and Aji de Gallina. Our three college-aged kids loved it! The food was delicious. They then taught us how to make Pisco Sours. We are all excited to take home and use our new skills. Yoel and Cidelia provided tea and a hot water bottle to ensure a warm night's sleep. None of us had used a hot water bottle and had no idea how it made the bed warm and cozy. The beds were so comfortable! Cidelia made an incredible breakfast with quinoa pancakes and delicious fresh papaya juice. To finish our visit, we walked with and bottle-fed the baby alpacas for the last part of the visit. During the walk, we passed through an incredible Inca archaeological site. Yoel is exceptionally knowledgeable about the history of the Incas and medicinal plants.
The views from the Sky Dome are unsurpassed. Of all the places we have been in Peru, this was my most memorable stay, and I highly recommend it to travelers looking to get off the beaten track. If I could rate it 20 stars, I would!

Staying at the Sky Dome was truly amazing! The Domes themselves are beautiful, well architected, and provide an amazing panoramic view of the Andes. Everything was very clean and all needed amenities were provided.
More importantly, staying with Yoel & Cidelia was the best part. We got to hang out with thier whole family, cook meals together, and learn so much about the Quechua people. Cidelia even took us on a tour our the ruins next to the property. We then went ziplining in the afternoon at the lookout near their home.
Yoel also explained to us that they are hoping to grow their buisiness to a point where they can start employing single mothers while providing daycare for families, which we learned is something hard to find in Peru. I have full confidence they will pull this off based on our experience.
Overall, this was very wholesome experience and I rate it as one of the best vacation stays my partner and I have ever experienced together :)

Yoel & his wife have created an excellent, intimate experience for those looking to connect with nature. We booked all three domes during our recent visit for one night. In addition, Yoel was very helpful in arranging many of the ancillary services and coordination (transport, private tours, coordination with other tour companies for activities) we needed during a last-minute trip. He is a very capable guide and explained many areas of the sacred valley we visited (he's walked the Inca trail more than 200+ times! ) He was very flexible in coming up with alt plans when several in my family got sick from stomach bug and altitude sickness. We wouldn't have been able to do as much without their help. Even if you don't stay at Sky Domes Peru, I recommend you speak with Yoel, he is like having a helpful local in your pocket you can call to help you figure out how to keep your vacation on track. Aside from star gazing, and interacting with their pet llamas, we also did a cooking class with Yoel and his wife. The Lomo was tasty and we had a lot of fun. The only drawback is how remote you are. There is not much to do in the area and once you are there, you are likely not going anywhere else that evening.

Sky Dome has been the favourite part of our trip so far. Cidelia and Yoel were the loveliest hosts, always ensuring we had everything we needed. There’s so much to do around in terms of activities, but we took advantage of our two nights to relax as much as possible in a very comfortable and cosy setting. We were able to bottle feed their two baby alpacas, and also we did a cooking course where we learned how to cook a mango ceviche and a lomo soltado. We did manage to get out of bed to do a quick excursion to Machu Qolqa ruins, where we were the only ones there, and spent 2 hrs watching the clouds move over the valleys and read a book. If we didn’t have prior commitments we would have stayed another night.
For the accommodation it can be considered glamping with all the comforts of a hotel. The loo is right next to the dome, and the shower is at a different level, with hot water.
The views are incredible and the area is very quiet.
The perfect little stop for travelling couples looking to take a break :)

The hospitality of Yoel and his family were the highlight of our trip to Peru. We stayed at Skydome for a night after Machu Picchu and were welcomed into their home for delicious home cooked meals, amazing stories and incredible views. Truly an experience you don’t want to miss. Yoel greeted us at the train station and personally brought us back to the property. The domes were beautifully decorated and cozy with very clean bathrooms attached to each dome, which I appreciate because that hasn’t been the experience at some other places we’ve stayed in Peru. They have 2 adorable pet alpacas who are very friendly and a llama on the property as well. They’ve truly poured their hearts into making this experience one you don’t want to miss.

Travelled here from Machupicchu to explore the Sacred Valley and enjoy the beautiful nature and ruins all around the domes. My boyfriend and I ended up extending our stay as we loved it so much! 💖🏔️ The location has a magic view, the domes are beautiful, cozy, eco friendly, and Cidelia and her family are so kind and helpful. We eat delicious dishes cooked here as well as done activities organised by them such as romantic picnic with alpacas 🦙☀️🌙 and excursions around Inca sites with super short taxi ride. Loved every moment of our stay here 💛💕

Cidelia and Yoel were great hosts, very kind and helpful. The views were amazing of course and the room was very comfortable. They do have Wi-Fi if you need it. The ruins that are nearby also have great views and they’re only a 15 minute hike away. Since the domes are in a secluded area there are no shops or restaurants nearby but Cidelia can prepare a delicious dinner for you if you let her know in advance. The view of the night sky is incredible and well worth it. It does get cold outside at night so pack your best winter coat. I would suggest you get there in the afternoon around 2-3pm go over to the ruins for a couple hours and come back to the dome to relax and watch the sun set behind the mountains.
