Carlos Guest House 1 Cusco Guesthouse

Good quality for the price. It is near the Market of San Blas where you can go to breakfast or eat very cheap. The drawback is that there is only one bathroom, and 4 rooms (double and triple). Carlos offers tours, did the Tour day Cuzco but we don't just like it. In addition, we said that there was no transportation from Cusco to Hydroelectric direct that you had to change 3 times of the shuttle and it was a lie, for 65 soles have the outward and return journey (at another agency).

Basic. Small. Expensive but average cost I suppose for touristy Cusco.

This hotel is a Swiss Family Robinson dream, with trees running through some of the rooms and gorgeous views of Cusco from picture windows. My girlfriend and I stayed here for an entire month over Christmas and New Years. It was a magical time of year to be in Cusco and these great accommodations were the icing on the cake. The owner (Mercedes) is very sweet and made us feel like family. We have recommended it to many friends and will definitely be staying here again.

Lousy customer service, the person who attended us, his name was Mauro and was a host of the worst. We left the cell phone in the room in which we made a tour and when we returned it was not (they stole it, possibly a maintenance clerk who was the only one who entered the room).
We wanted to make a complaint with the police and Mr. Mauro and did not know what number to call. He didn't know where the Hotel claims book was. He was doing his best to desistieramos the lawsuit and even defending his co-workers.
To this, we request at the moment the presence of the supervisor of maintenance and this not available (11:00 pm), arrive the next day in the morning (6:10 am). His treatment was not the best because he defended the only employee of maintenance who according to the security cameras entered the room.
On the other hand, they had no control of the guests, as a group of young people smoked, took and danced in the hallways. In general a discontrol. We've never seen anything like it. We would not recomendariamos anyone. The worst of the worst.
We hope that the Hotel manager will take the cards in the matter and evaluate the effectiveness of his staff for the benefit of his company and the tourists who visit him.

Good breakfast buffet. Clean Hotel But the bathroom always smelled of drain and filtered the sink. The attention of the nice reception. Nice to sleep, it's more like a place of passage.

Very disappointing compared to the advice given on the guide of the backpacker. We asked to change hotels in the morning after the 1st night as we were very cold and especially for our children of 3 and 9 years old. Impossible as we had paid the 2 nights in advance, Carmen did not want to know and we had to pay a small electric radiator that did not heat anything. The use of the kitchen is paying off and when we asked if we could take some sugar, Carmen asked us to pay the sugar spoon! There it is the drop that has overflowed the vase, I told him that it was really exaggerated and as it did not rain she told us that she did not keep our suitcases as planned until the evening when we had our bus! So we ended up with our two children and our suitcases on the sidewalk! So I really don't recommend this hotel.

Dilapidated building and facilities, mediocre breakfast and lousy customer service, the person who attended us, his name was Margot and was a hostess of the worst. An employee is the image of a company and this is very low quality. I wouldn't go back or recommend anyone.

The, truth q the lodging house is the maximum, treatment familiard the sr carlos, and ye guides in your tours q kires know, oh man was my stay in cuzco, in the lodging house, I recommend it.

Carlos was great person! Everything was prepared more than as a way should be. And he can speak English so helped me and he is a tour guide as well. The house its own was nice and cozy, I've got even a bath towel and a soap! The location is very close to one of the biggest market in Cuzco and there are lots of local restaurants so there is no inconvenience. May be a bit far from the center if you compare to other hostel in the town but I always took small bus get to the center so there was no problem at all. Carlos will explain you every details so you will be comfortable! Highly recommended!
