Reviews of Hostal Kollarón
The hostel looked great on the photos, but in reality it wasn’t that good. The hostel is located at the very end of town, on a dusty road where most buildings are still under construction (October 2019). Lots of dust everywhere in the hostel, and the place was very noisy. It was one big echo chamber.
The guy at the desk didn’t speak any English, but communication using Google Translate worked okay.
We didn’t sleep here at all and went for another hostel. Refund took some time, but we got all our money except for the first night back, which seemed fair.

The room was very big and the private bathroom was also large.
Lucila was very nice and helpful, she let us use the washing machine and kitchen — basic staff kitchen — as we stayed for more than 3 nights.
The town itself is VERY dusty, the staff are always trying their best to keep the place clean but dust gets everywhere.
Also, very secure place (24/7 desk).
I recommend a room away from the streets as all Amazonian towns are quite noisy and also a room on the 1st or second floor as the Wi-Fi on the 3rd floor isn't very strong.
