Nomada Hostel

This is one of the best hostels I have stayed in during my 10 months of backpacking. The staff are lovely and it's in a great location, a quick 10 minute walk into the historic centre. The vibe is quite relaxed but they have a communal area and a small bar for drinks at night time. They also have a separate inside area for people to work and the Wi-Fi at the property is excellent.
We stayed in a private room and it was excellent. The bed was comfy, the room was clean and the shower water was hot. They even provided an extra pillow when we asked for it.
They also provide a laundry service for around 30, 000 Paraguayan Guarani which is approximately £3 at the time of writing — they wash and tumble dry the clothing.
I would highly recommend this hostel to anyone looking to stay in Asuncion!

The 'World Map Mural' room of Nomada Hostel is one of the best places to stay, ever. A firm, huge bed, good pillow, spacious, though not too big. The natural light, man-made when necessary, the unobtrusive heat pump, the decor, furnishings, and that World Map mural, a massive work and focal point, but again, not too big. The only improvement imaginable would be a slightly longer shower curtain to contain the water away from the toilet and sink. Then you have more pretty murals in the tasteful common areas. The splash pool is heaven sent after a hot day. Hammocks are wonderful, the location is great, supermarket not far, downtown an easy, interesting walk. The staff were a joy, with special kudos to Clara and Miguel, helping with each of our seemingly many logistical needs. Be sure and learn the 'historia de Miguel and Majo (Maria Jose) '. Overall, it is both easy and a genuine pleasure, to place Nomada Hostel in a personal pantheon of best places to stay, ever.

The hostel is alright, big garden/common area. The kitchen is always a bit dirty. The room is nice, the bed has curtain.

El Nomade is a wonderful place to stay. It is extremely well managed by Lala who ensures it is welcoming, comfortable and clean. Her home cooking is excellent and varied. She always greets guests returning after their day with her good humour. The rooms are spacious and beds very comfortable. This is the best place in Punto Pyramides! I will definitely come back to try and see Orcas again — Tom April 2025

El Nómada Hostel is an incredible place to stay! The staff and owner, Miguel, are amazing, always going the extra mile to make your stay fun and memorable. The hostel is spotless and features a fantastic pool, an excellent bar, a spacious backyard for exercising or relaxing, a brilliant co-working space, a cozy TV room, and a fully equipped kitchen. It’s also centrally located, close to a massive supermarket. A perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and community—highly recommend! 😁🌴

Wonderful hostel, people are friendly, really informational, great vibes. On Fridays they have a table tennis tournament which I highly recommend — good chance to practice Spanish. Lovely hostel to relax and connect with fellow travellers, especially in a town like Asuncion which doesn’t have too much to offer.

The staff was very friendly and communicative. Beds are comfortable and have curtains around them, which is a huge plus. There's a bar in the hostel and ping pong. Very nice outdoor lounge area where you can relax in woven hammocks. They serve breakfast for 20, 000 Gs. The price is cheap. I would definitely recommend.

I spent 4 amazing nights there. It’s an oasis of friendliness. One of the highlights of my trip. Miss you guys👐👊

A small, cozy hostel, El Nomada has a great ambiance and is nicely located for strolling around historic Asunción and its food scene. The staff are warm, friendly and very welcoming and helpful, with great advice about the local museums, restaurants and sights. I stayed in the 4-person hostel room, which worked well; other lodging included the triple bunks (9-people per room) and another few bedrooms. The hostel has a nice plunge pool for relaxing, just alongside the dining area. And, the breakfast is a nice, healthy meal including fresh fruits.

You’re not going to find anything better in Paraguay. The curtains around the beds are nice since they’re triple bunks. They only take cash which is inconvenient but the lady at reception is super nice and helpful. The guy when I checked out behaved oddly but otherwise I enjoyed my stay.

Great staff, comfy beds and a rich breakfast. Beautiful garden too. Recommended.

I loved my time at Nomada Hostel! It was one of the friendliest, most welcoming, and beautiful hostels I’ve ever stayed at. The rooms were super clean (they were cleaned every day) and the beds were comfortable (the curtains on each bed was a huge plus too! ). All the travelers got along very well as the common spaces were big and beautiful to hangout in + the staff was next level and helped everyone feel at home the second you step through the hostel door.
Very well located, just about a 10 minute walk from the center of Asunción and had a bus stop pretty much across the street for those who were looking to get to different parts of the city cheaply (bus 38 takes you to about any place you would want to go as a first timer in Asunción, just throwing this out there).
A lovely place, couldn’t recommend more! Can’t wait to be back! ❤️

This is one of the best hostels I’ve been to on my multiple month South America trip. I paid $9 a night for a shared bunk bed room. The prices are fair and the rooms have all the basic amenities you would expect. The overall cleanliness of the entire hostel was outstanding from the rooms, shower, bathrooms, kitchen, to the common areas. They even provided big spray to Sue in the open air common areas to keep the bugs away.
The staff really seem to enjoy their roles and the entire hostel feels like family. Just a great place!

A little compact, they have 3 beds stacked on a bed frame.

My favourite hostel in South America so far. Lovely staff, nice rooms with a good price for both dorm and single; I stayed in both. Has a small pool which is refreshing on the really hot days. Drinks are a great price, bar open till midnight and a lovely garden. Well-equipped kitchen (no oven) with an inexpensive laundry service.
Owner clearly cares about the place and has kept it lovely.

Really nice hostel with a good atmosphere! There is a space to park some motorbikes. Breakfast was good and included in the price. The asado on Saturday was really good, the staff is very nice and the space was clean.
Only negative sides: showers are often not warm at all and you can only pay by cash. Please introduce cards payment!
