Bine of the interior with my family to know Asuncion, and we stayed at this wonderful place hostel, very friendly staff, the spectacular cleanliness, located in the very center of Asuncion near everything, the wonderful courtyard the pool very cute.

We had a great fun, we're pretty satisfied. The cleanliness is OK, the pool is also kept clean. The only point to improve seems to me to be in terms of breakfast as they do not offer much variety of drinks, just coffee, milk and tea.

Very nice hostel on very reasonable price. The pool is a big plus.

I traveled to Asuncion, Paraguay, on academic matters having previously a reservation in this hostel. Personally the hostel is not in the best condition to receive more than 20 people, the service is a little bad. To get to the hostel, there was a large group of people waiting to be assigned their rooms, all of them had already their reservation; made us wait quite a while to give us our room. All we were tired from the flight and all I wanted was to rest, but when you get to the place where we would had to wait. Some were lucky and had a room to the other, as to me, we were placed in rooms that are improvised, made of plywood and the windows without glass, only covered with plastic to keep the wind. The beds were wooden bunk beds with hard mattresses. If that is not enough had not where to connect our electronic devices (I wanted to charge my mobile phone to notify my family that had arrived to my destination). The service is very bad, personally I would not recommend it unless the nearby hotels are all busy.

I had a good experience during my stay at this hostel. If you're young and want to get in contact with other people this is the place to stay in Asunción. It features everything a good hostel has: central location, free breakfast, staff members are friendly and even speak english, which is rare in South America! I can only recommend El Viajero to other young travellers who come to Asunción.

It's a fantastic hostel. It's clean and the staff is extremely friendly. There is a nice swimming pool for the searing Asuncion heat. The owner is friendly and professional. Central location on bus routes to airport. Close to shopping mall and Costanera (river walk)

Unless you want to party all night, you shouldn't stay there. There were a bunch of people listening to music in the outside area of the place until 5:00 AM which obviously makes it hard to sleep. In addition to that, the bed was really uncomfortable. Finally, the breakfast was 2 toasts, 1 small piece of cake and a fruit. No more no less. Not to mention the staff which wasn't really helpful either, nobody stepped up to ask for the music to be turned off. It seems like being called a "Hostal" allows these kind of places to provide bad service without worrying too much about it. There are definitely many places where you get a much better service for the same price.

The worst hostel experience in my life. Incredibly loud music throughout the entire night (literally) and hostel staff saying that it is normal, cause it's a hostel. AC doesnt work. Fan doesnt work. Fan doesn't work either. And finally the toilet water container falls from above my head and misses my head by inches, which results in the water from the broken pipe flooding the entire bathroom. The cost of the room: 25 usd, the hostel experience: priceless. Don't recommend.
