The food was mediocre at best, the food was either cold, over cooked or poorly seasoned. Most of the staff is friendly however management can definitely use an upgrade. They never answered the phone after 10pm. Even though they advertise 24hr room service. The rooms are dated and looks nothing like the advertisement. I will never come back to this location.

Friendly staff. Nitzia and Ikiler went out their way to make our experience in the different restaurants memorable. Amaury and Angelo at pool bar made we were well looked after. The resort needs to be updated but overall we would recommend this resort. Their was a shortage of different foods every day as well as different alcoholic beverages. The Oceana restaurant was very disappointing and would not recommend it at all. We did like the fact you didn’t have to have reservations for the evening meals.

I really don't think anything about this hotel can recommend the animation is lousy they don't have to give entertainment to tourists, with respect to the restaurants all lacking and poorly cooked, the cleanliness very bad the pool towels are depressing and the bad drinks I feel like it's the worst birthday holiday that happened last.

It. Was. Great. My girlfriend and I came for a relaxing week and it was exactly what we were looking for. Great service/staff. The romantic beachside dinner facilitated by the effervescent Ikiler was fantastic, all of our needs were met. We also did this monkey island thing that was cool but kinda short, not related to the resort tho. Overall I would rate my stay a 10/10. One night we had a loud group next to us who were singing loudly @ like 3am but we called the front desk and they sorted it immediately. Again, big props to Ikiler and all the fantastic staff. Would stay again. ✌️

This resort is beautiful, however the food is very subpar. I wish they would’ve incorporated more local food. The food outside of the resort was way better. Also, we had a package that didn’t come thru with all the items requested. You could never get anyone on the phone either. But their hospitality and the staff made the stay better.

The biggest highlight was the Preferred Pool Bartender David Montero. He was the greatest Bartender ever. Super friendly helpful and made drinks the way you like but still professional checking room numbers. The food was always cold or tough. I've definitely had better at other resorts. The Panama Canal tour wasn't what the brochure stated. We walked through numerous churches and only spent an hour at the Canal. The housekeeping service was hit and miss. Rooms should be replenished daily with towels, bath mats and wash clothes. I had the same wash cloth for A WEEK!

The property is wonderful. The room was gorgeous, but what made our stay here phenomenal was the staff. The entertainment staff, Moises Castro, Angello Guardia and Amy were fantastic. We participated in everything they offered everyday, including: kayaking (Moises), Archery (Amy), dance (all three), bingo (Amy and Moises), Kayaking (Moises) and so much more. They are very talented staff and made us feel very welcomed. They made this trip perfect. We stayed there for 6 days and 5 nights and they were friendly and attentive everyday. So, if you’re considering Panama and this resort, you will be in great hands. They made everyday fun and worth it! I would also like to mention Denís, Anggelo, Moises and Amaury who were very attentive bar staff, as well as, James, Ikiler, and Jacqueline who were cook / wait staff. Brandol was also very helpful in booking excursions. All in all, our time here was amazing. My friends and I had a blast in Panama, and we owe all these wonderful people for that!

It was my first family international vacation and even though the airlines messed up the beginning of it, the hospitality at the hotel was really good. Food was really good and the staff was really friendly and professional. I really apprecieted the service ar the bar (Eric, Amaury, David, Angelo) who always offered an excellent service and creativity specially with drinks and shots and my kiddos daiquiris. At the preferred bar or VIP Zancheliano was awesome too. Moises at the disco bar. The kindness and friendliness made us enjoyed our stay even more specially after all the airline disaster with our bags, delays and cancelations. We enjoyed the entertainment team too with the Bingo and kayaking. Thank you again for great service.

Excellent service from James Clark at the Market Café restaurant. Every morning he greeted us with a big smile and on the second day he already knew what our favorite drinks were, and he was always checking that everything was fine. Also, Evelyn always had my coffee ready at the COCO Café exactly the way I drink it at home. She attended us at our Tensar corporate event and she never said no to our last minute requests.

Zancheliano in the preferred club lounge was the best ever! He gave us advice about where to go and what to see. He also recommended a very close restaurant and gave us the name of the owner. We went back twice because the experience was so amazing. We were treated like family, and I appreciated it. ¡Zanche es lo mejor! También Yarod en La piscina preferida. ¡Muy amable!

We fell in love with this beautiful place. The owner Mr. RAMINEZ and his staff are just amazing. Mr. OMAR, the food and beverage mangager makes sure, no dreams are unfulfilled. Everything you want, he takes care of it with a smile. The room service us no. 1 … great food… especially the best French toast, I ever had. The room service operator MRS GENESIS always leaves us with a smile… She is kind and very friendly… The best employee us Edgar, who delivers the room service with his shining blue eyes and always laughing and smiling face, a real professional, he should be a room service operator with his good English skills and great costumer service skills… and then there is Tony at the Seaside Grill is outstanding, we are from Germany and he speaks German in a very nice way… We love him. And at the check in it's Mr Roberto who makes sure, everything is taking care of and welcomes you with open arms, like family. This place us PARADISE… We will come back very soon… It's our home away from home… This is the greatest and most magnificiant Hotel I have ever stayed in. Unlike other hotels in the AM Resorts Chain, this one in particular is lousy in food, very few breakfast options and bad taste, very limited room food menu and poor quality. 😕
The attention of the employees is good but they could improve, when entering there was no valet parking or welcome with drink as always nor did they help us to take suitcases to the lobby, there was a guy who only told us where to park, which we did not expect.
The look and taste of the food was not to our liking comparing them with other dreams or secrets, it would be good to add more variety to the buffet, the cleanliness and design of the room very good 👍🏻

Just left. Beautiful space. Food tho limited was good. Could never get any staff on the phone, however when I went to the lobby and anything I requested was promptly taken care of. I was in room 302 and had a problem with mosquitos my arms and legs are like roadmaps. My friend stayed in 106 and had no bites whatsoever🤷🏾‍♂️🤷🏾‍♂️ I guess they like ‘em big and juicy LOL. No swimming in the Ocean, there’s high tide and low tide, so be careful. Pools are great, Entertainment is so-so, Monday night dinner surrounding the pool with a DJ was for me the best night…. Complete with fireworks! I suggest taking an UBER anywhere you wanna go outside the resort…. Very very inexpensive! Do not take city cabs! Very restful charming place. Great week.

Zanche who works at the adult pool/preferred club bar is incredible, goes above and beyond with his always cheerful attitude and gifts/sand messages for guests! Truly a joy to be around! Leila and Eddie.

This is the greatest and most magnificiant Hotel I have ever stayed in.
The view upon the Pacific ocean and the ships trying to go to the Panama Canal is breathtaking and stunning. The Hotel has a beautiful Beach and the all inclusive Option is amazing, … Minibar, room service and all Restaurants are inclusive… Whatever you want, you get it in this Paradise, that makes your dreams come true. The staff is also amazing, especially Veronica at the check in, who will make you feel good for the first Moment upon arrival and Mr Elsaul, a very nice Concierge who answer all your questions with patience and a freindly smile and competance. A real Pearl and most attentive, and always smiling staff member is Mrs Idalmiss at the Seaside Grill Restaurant and a real gem is Mrs Yarinneth at the Oceana Restaurant… She will make you boil with happiness! And Sylvia from Breakfast buffet is so sweet and her omlettes are out of this world, so yummy… And if you want the best Cocktail then go to Mr Yodar, he makes the most dilicious Cocktails and remembers you everytime. And if you crave for a dilicious steak as a snack in between, call room service and Mrs Genesis will assist you and make your day! The Hotel is purely Paradise and heaven and if you ever visit Panama, you MUST stay here! The only reason we will come back to Panama is this resort… Heaven in Earth!

What an amazing splendid hotel, small quality service attentions and service has incredible clientele, management… Effective! They are beckoned to a small problem outside the resort, the next day it's settled! The sercice, the a la carte restaurants without reservations, the room service… it's the case to say it… the moment of a week was the… Dominic Playa Bonita Dreams! Thank you all to the manager, the long-haired black lady of the service desk and her big skinny sugar-eating teammate… thanks to Elvis the bartender who goes so far as to bring the blender to the dance floor to make you your mix since you are not sleeping in the evening, thanks to Ishmael for the service at our dinner on the beach, (we found the name of our son since your meeting) really incryable.

Could be a nice resort with a little TLC. The pool is a hazard zone as tiles are missing and or cracked off and people were slicing their feet open on a daily basis. The entertainment staff did not seem interested in engaging anyone or even showing up on time for scheduled activities. Most of the time the activities didn't even take place. The outside needs a good coat of paint. House keeping did the bare minimum. The grounds in general were lacking. There are three restaurants, one of which children can't go too, which is fine but when one closes for dinner that leaves two options and sometimes one for children. The Explorers Club wasn't always open during the hours stated. Overall, I would not recommend this resort to anyone.

I spent a relaxing holiday in this resort. It is beautiful, well kept and with a polite and ready to satisfy you staff. The sea is great to watch but not to swim in, there are well kept swimming pools for that. I do believe that rooms could be cleaned better (perhaps two cleaning people as opposed to one would do the job). All in all, my experience in this resort was positive and I will definitely return.

I walked into the bathroom in the lounge, the floor was covered in a film which made me slip. My right foot turned and my body went the other way. My right foot snapped back and I could not walk on it. I immediately had a friend report this. I waited for over 25 minutes for a response. They finally sent a bag of ice over and could care less. I had to ask for an office chair or wheel chair to get back to my room. This establishment could care less about the injury. They were quick to clean th bathroom before attending to me! I had to request a medic to at least look at how bad the sprain or tear was.

This all inclusive resort had everything you would want and need in a resort. Plenty of food and unlimited drinks. There were also a few excursions that were part of the package. The resort offers 2 pools and a kiddie pool along with a kids play area. There is a fine dining restaurant on property and during dinner, they offer entertainment. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this resort.

I really liked the facilities are nice, one aspect they can improve are the meals and the variety, but otherwise delighted to spend a family time and very close to the city.

The weekend visit the hotel, and well it was a complete disappointment, for me personally a hotel of the AM resort chain is synonymous with quality, but this is not, in fact I consider it a complete disrepute for the brand that has always stood out for being so good. I had the pleasure of meeting other hotels in the chain and came with a high expectation and I return very disappointed. The hotel does not meet the quality standards of a dreams at all, the service was very bad, there was lack of hygiene, no variety of meals and very poor quality in them.

Compared to other resorts in the AM chain. Or even compared to the dreams, the tides of Costa Rica are impossible. All the hotels in this chain are pretty good. But this is not. Could be of the quality of a Westerner or a Barceló but never represents the chain dreams.

I love this place, I will come back every time I can, excellent atmosphere, excellent food, excellent service no complaints. Really highly recommended.

This is a huge and gorgeous resort hotel at the beach. A very quiet nice and well taken care hotel and grounds. A beautiful beach… I found it very quiet in the morning hours… or after sunset. Wonderful service especially “Joreg F&B” he is a manager, he actually gave me his private phone number I should be able to contact him directly for any service I need… I was really astound from his service! Thank you again Joreg I really appreciate ur help! Most of the hotel employees understand only Spanish but they ate trying their best to help with English. The rooms are nice and spacious, nice porches. I would definitely recommend this hotel even its expensive…

Beautiful resort with very friendly and attentive staff. The food is amazing! The room was very comfortable and clean and nice. Definitely worth it to upgrade to the Preferred Club. I would definitely come back and recommend it to anyone thinking of visiting Panama.

When checking in; Reservations of three booked rooms not found. 2 rooms were provided until the other day. We had to wait for our room for almost 3 hours. We then got the room without a word of apology or show where we have to go to our room. Also, nowhere is it shown in the hotel where you can meet your guide eg Thomas Cook. Excellent place to share with the family, was prevented with the comments that said that the fall was not varied and bad.
Everything has been excellent, the food is varied and rich, it always changes.
Seafood restaurants are also rich, but obvious portions are not giants, I understood you because they don't charge you a weight.

I went a year ago and I wanted to go back ever since. They can improve the food, I know they can. Otherwise, excellent.

I had excellent food and treatment at the Oceana restaurant, variety of drinks. The service in general was ok but the air conditioning, at least in my room, I couldn't adjust it to less than 29oC, which I found uncomfortable at bedtime.

I would give 0 stars if I could. This is by far the worst all inclusive resort I’ve ever been to. Our room wasn’t cleaned for 2 days. We’ve only been given access to half the restaurants and no room service. The staff do not speak English and are very unhelpful. There are no tour operators available. Everything pretty much closes down at 11. Don’t waste your time.

We just got back from a 7 day trip here. Have to say I will never be back and would not recommend this resort. We have stayed in a other dreams hotels and have to say this is by far the worst. 1st is the TOP shelf selection of beverages — they have none — they offer only 2 beers which are both from Panama — 1st day they had Grey Goose and Stoli but once those where gone they only sky and hep offering that as TOP shelf on 2nd floor which is for preferred guest. — in the Pool area for preferred guest there NEVER was any top self selection of alcohol. I really don't think they know what TOP shelf is. Also in the preferred pool area there is not any kind of entertainment — no music — no yoga — no nothing — the poor bartender was the only person there which he was need of a helper. The food selection was very disappointing also. Figured since we where in Panama they would have some selection of Panamanian cuisine but there wasn't. Every night and morning the same selection in each restaurant. We did really enjoy the food in both Portifino and Bordeaux but the meals never changed and it was all american style very boring. Desserts were horrible very tasteless. Other is was most the staff barley understood English there should at the least be a few fluent english speaking in customer service. WE also had issues with towels being replaced in room.

We booked Preferred Club Junior Suite. I think it was worth the difference in price. Everybody is different and will have their own opinion on that. We felt that we would be spending most of our time at the resort, during this trip, that we might as well get the most out of it and not be restricted from all the resort had to offer. We tried all five of the restaurants. That helped to add variety of foods to try for the week. The food was good. They tried hard for the presentation and gave a lot of effort to the service. Room service was also included with our package. The food selections were also a bit different for that, as well. We found it nice to use it for a few breakfasts and late night snacking. We found the grounds to be spectacular for atmosphere. The view from our room, with double balcony, was second to none. We could watch the tides move in and out. They’d move about 200m every six hours or so. Ships were in the distance, awaiting to enter the Panama Canal. They especially spectacular to see all lit up at night and in a line as far as you could see along the horizon. The pool area was nice and comfy for the most part. There were only so many lounge chairs to go around so it would pay to get out there early. Temperatures remained around 25 C or 75 F overnight so it wouldn’t be a problem getting out at sun up. Our favourite places to enjoy were the Preferred Pool area and the Coco Cafe was a cool little place to sit down at.

I was disappointed with my stay. Several wonderful staff members kept me from giving this place a 1 star rating! They need a lot of help!

It looks nice and we loved our first dinner, a few things need a little more maintenance. But it has a great overall.

I did pick this hotel as Air Transat rated it 5 star. A big disappointment. Rooms are bad. Requested to talk to Mario Ramirez, the general manager… a bigger waste of time. This hotel should not be rated more then 3 stars. 11 nights here… Looking forward to go back home and enjoy the snow. Mosquitos are out of control. Ocean and beach? … forget it… it just the wrong place to come.

Where to start… the resort is beautiful, secluded and lovely, wildlife abounds. Here we go…
1. Staff is in short supply and poorly trained. There were a handful that got our attention, and generous tips but overall not impressive. On one morning in particular I was getting coffee for myself and other guests.
2. Pool is in disrepair, missing broken and loose tiles abound. Drink service around the pool is poor. Bartender staffing general is insufficient. Often had one bartender waiting on 20 or 30 people at a time.
3. Wait staff in restaurants was far too thin. Tables stand dirty and cluttered after guests had left.
4. Many of the staff don't have a clear understanding of english.
5. Food was unimpressive, both in flavor and selection
6. I don't think one person in the hotel knows how to clean glass. Every window, balcony panel, door were filthy.
7. Ice machines. There is one on each 5 floor wing in the middle of the first floor. Elevators are on either end of each floor and the ice machine is in the middle of the ground floor.
8. Room service is an additional $25. We have NEVER had to pay extra for room service.
9. Towels are replaced every other day, mini bar is refilled every other day. Really? Yuo have to wait 2 days fowater and beer?
10. Liquor selection was poor. Jim Beam was the only choice for whiskey.
Oversll, too many little things that simply don't live up to Dreams standards.

Beautiful place. Staff is very friendly. Food is good. Lots of variety. Rooms are cleans and quite large. Grounds are well kept. Events going on through out the day.

This resort was horrible. First visit but last. Layout was beautiful. Customer service was terrible. First time bad experience would never come back. No activities. Was here 7 days. No live activities. The absolute worse. No stars food wasn't the greatest the same all week. They do not cook your food the way you want.

We had a Great time! Wete there for 8 days with a group of friends. Some active, some not so much, but there eas something for everybody! Food is good, alchohol and other drinks are bottomless!

Facility is beautiful, beaches are beautiful, food was ok, staff was very nice and helpful. My only complaint and this is huge for us because we go to resorts with nightly shows. There was nothing to do after dinner. It would have been a huge plus if they had partnered up with Westin to shuttle guests to their resort for the nightly entertainment. The movie/Disco room is so small with seating and space for no more than 10 or 15. I would have preferred alternate times during the day to see the movie. Otherwise, it's nice place for rest and relaxation. Kinda on the boring side.

I recently took a group of about 100 people to this location. And my client informed me the food was terrible and the onsite contacts were not any better. I can personally vouch for the onsite contacts as their lack of communication, knowledge and customer service during the planning process was some of the worst I've experienced. If you're planning on taking a group I recommend staying elsewhere. There are plenty of beautiful resorts in Panama that offer the kind of customer service you expect when paying that kind of money.

An amazing all-inclusive resort. Dedicated, courteous staff: from housekeeping, food service, activities, pool, spa, gift shop. Great selection on buffet meals and the sit down dining was superb! I had never been to a resort where there was a dedicated air conditioned room for salads and desserts at the outdoor restaurant. My only (minor) complaint was my three day quest to conquer the procedure for getting soft drinks delivered to the mini-bar.

Terrible, awful resort. Terrible food, cheap drinks, old nasty salads. Too many types of bugs. Stony, dirty, and muddy beach. Eat outside the resort or starve. That's the meaning of all inclusive. No buffet. Do not even count on it. Be ready to come back with irritated legs and arms from bug bytes and continue scratching god knows for how long. Absolutely no activities. Whatever their website says is a lie. Free Wi-Fi means no Wi-Fi. If you are lucky you might have connection 2 or 3 days out of 7 and even if you notify them they don't even try to fix it. We all had an awful experience. In the future no resort starting with the word Dream. They should change it "In your dreams". I am writing and scratching at the same time. I think all the 5 star reviews are given by the friends of the staff members. do not be fooled by the good reviews. Our group included 14 people and not even 1 satisfied person. We stayed for 7 days from 07/03/17-07/10/17 and talked to different people and families and everyone had the same opinion. No more panama! everyone was mad, dissatisfied, disappointed.

I will never recommend this place. People are very nice, but services are very poor for a Dreams. Grounds are not bad, beach is terrible. Food is lacking and poor variety. Pretty much same thing every day. Room service is $25/person. French restaurant $30/person. Mini fridge in room is refilled every 2 days. Ridiculous. How cheap is that? Too many negative things to list here. No comparison to other all inclusives, poor poor quality.

One of the best places to just relax and enjoy a weekend full of comfort and great service. Also has a beautiful bar with amazing music.

Excellent facilities. Staff very friendly and attentive. The rooms are very well-ordered and clean. The different areas of the hotel such as restaurants and swimming pools are very well presented. A short distance from the beach. The area of relaxation for adults is without a doubt the best area to be. The gym and the spa is very well equipped. My only complaint is the food. For the price of the hotel, leave much to be desired. The days that I was, the food was pretty mediocre. If the hotel is 5 star, the food feels like 2. A day in specific single was "mexican night", and despite the fact that I like mexican food, some variety would not have fallen ill.

Great view of the ocean and beautiful landscaping. Rooms are clean and OK, but not spectacular. They can get a little noisy though as the doors are thin and the constant movement of food carts between the main building and the Pelican restaurant gets loud. Gym is mediocre and is a hodge podge of used fitness equipment. Food is edible, but not spectacular. And is overpriced. Service in the restaurants is wanting. Biggest drawback for me as a business traveler was the poor Wifi connectivity. Hotel offers free Wifi, but connectivity from the room was spotty at best. Dropped every 5-10 minutes during the day and was inoperable in the evenings. The hotel's solution to my complaint was to suggest that I use the Wifi in the lobby.

Conclusion: The hotel and resort is really nice, but for the price you expect to have more. It had a show at night but it wasn't that awesome. Beautiful classy resort. Food is mediocore. Nice beach view, however sand is rocky. First hotel ever in my experience to provide insect repellent.

AC keeps going out. Facility needs updating. Food service had long waits and then it was cold. Food staff had either poor training or supervision.
