The owner, Carlos, is great with guests. He made the visit enjoyable, treating us well and giving advice for getting around. The breakfast is good, and his B&B is clean and comfortable, and right across the street from the beach, La Playa Uverito. While the dark sand beach isn't spectacular, it has its own charm, and it was very quiet during late May when we visited. We had the whole place to ourselves during weekdays. Swimming there is peaceful, as there are hardly any waves, and it's a gradual slope. Carlos kindly helped us catch a bus ($1.25) back to Las Tablas.

This place is a total scam! The owner charged us for three nights instead of two and refused to pay back the additional night that he had charged us. We ended up paying US$ 650 and the owner was rude, unfriendly and couldn’t care less about his guests. The room was dirty and was never cleaned, the beds were not made and when we asked about that, his answer was “I don’t clean rooms or make beds. I just empty the trash cans”… We were the only people staying at the place and yet when we arrived at 10:30 for breakfast, he told us we couldn’t have breakfast because we arrived half an hour late. After insisting, he begrudgingly gave us tea, coffee and some toast. Second day, we asked for an egg for breakfast and he also refused to make one. Don’t waste your money on this place! We only stayed there, because everything in and around Las Tablas was fully booked during Carnaval, but it’s not worth staying at. Total rip off!
