This is a special place. It has the right combination of location, comfort, cleanliness, and a super awesome staff. I stayed here for three weeks. In that time Eli, Carlos, and the rest of the staff made me feel at home. This castle perched on the hill top has daily magical views of the sunset over the town. There is even an indoor pool and a jacuzzi for when the rains keep you indoors. When I am not eating at their restaurant, I am cooking my own food in their guest kitchen. After three weeks of working/relaxing/living there, the only difficulty I endured was leaving the castle.

Best hostel I have ever been to. A bit out of town but definitely worth it.

The building is great. Modern and very clean. It is quite isolated so you have to get a taxi into town. Activities that you do from the hostel are I little expensive. Overall I had a great stay.

Nice impressive place a little bit above the centre of boquette. We stayed in 3 different rooms. The appartment. The dome. And the room in the tower. We preferred the appt because of it private terrace. The tower is also very nice and special. You have your own private entrance with a little bridge. Downstairs is the hall and bathroom upstairs the bedroom… which was warm and not easy to cool. The stairs are also a bit dangerously high. The dome is nice but I lack the privacy. If you want to cool everybody can look inside as it is on the main entrance. Also a bit noisy because of the cars. We also stayed in the domes of bambuda in solentra… and there it was perfect. With more Windows and private balcony. The food is really great. The Chef-cook is only 20 years!. Also everybody share different tables. Makes it easy to break the ice and meet new people.

Pool and hot tub lovely and clean which is rare for a busy hostel! Amazing common spaced — living room/bar and deck! Great vibe in the common areas, social hostel but not a party local. Only negatives were that the staff were quite unfriendly and grumpy, and that the food was skimpy. Check-in process was not clear, and the hostel ammenities were not well-explained (didn't day they served lunch/dinner or that there was a pool for example, also when we asked for a tour to be booked, we were then never notified of the time it would leave until 10mins before — although once on it, the tour was great). A large miscommunication occured with some other guests staying at the castle at the same time as us regarding check out time — staff left the guests items in open garbage bags in the common area, including their money/passports/valuables after they were told to leave their things in their room while on a staff-suggested and booked tour. Happy hour was decent, but breakfast was small and above market price. We ordered two breakfasts per person every day just to make it to lunch.

Never wanted to check out of this place. Not only are the amenities one-of-a-kind (after all, it’s a castle! ), the staff and owners are always gracious when they respond to your questions or concerns. There is lots to do in Boquete, so the castle is a good home base for these activities.

Possibly the nicest hostel I've ever stayed in. A castle turned into a beautiful hang out space, with comfortable beds, amazing views and really good food coming from the kitchen. The staff is friendly and helpful, especially Elizabeth! I can't imagine why you'd stay anywhere else if you're looking for a hostel in Boquete.

It is a hostel with the comforts of a 5 *, luxurious common areas, lounges with comfy sofas, terrace overlooking Barú, pond, garden, heated swimming pool, Jacuzzi… But you can use the kitchen, you sleep in bunk beds and the price is from hostel (about $16). They accept card.

Very comfortable and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

It is a great place, with a friendly atmosphere almost homely or romantic if you want to intimate with a couple, absolutely with a good taste.

What a wonderful place to stay! The view is phenomenal from the terrace. The communal dinners were worth the price you had to pay. The staff were friendly and helpful. It was a 3.5km walk down to town but that was actually good. It allowed for the beautiful, quiet setting. We stayed in one of the tower private rooms. I would definitely recommend.

Best Hostel in Boquete. It is a little outside of the city, up in the hills, but that is what gives it its charm. Super clean, great amenities, super service, great homemade dinner and breakfast options. Internet was fast, they have a pool, a spa and a rock climbing wall… what else to ask for! 10/10

I can't believe I got to stay in a castle. This has to be the most upscale and luxurious hostel I have ever stayed in. The food is amazing and the staff friendly. Clean and beautiful. Loved it!

Awesome hostel! It is really clean, the food is amazing, the staff is super friendly and informative and the view of Volcan Baru is simply breathtaking (especially in the morning, while having a cup of coffee and breakfast on the balcony! ) They offer a ton of activities and the staff is always willing to help you plan your days. The pool and jacuzzi are great additions to the hostel! The only downside is that it is a 3$ US taxi-ride from the centre.

Castle itself is nice, this hostel could be amazing if staff were slightly more helpful. I stayed 2 nights in a dorm room. Breakfast was not included and expensive for what you get. Setting is pretty, but you are 40 minute walk from the town, not 5 minutes as advertised.

Cool place, it's a big castle that has a great view as it is situated up on a hill. Everything at this hostel is super high end and super nice. The beds are really nice too. It has a pool on the bottom level and a hot tub. They claim the hot tub is solar powered and gets hot but we never saw it during the 2 nights as were there. Talk to Dan (the owner) he will take care of you.

By far the best hostel I've ever been to. Ended up staying way longer than intended during my travel. That's easy when you have all that they offer (pool, jacuzzi, two bars, great food) with a fantastic helpful staff, felt like at home instantly! Sure miss that place and will make sure to visit on my next trip to Latin America. Top class everybody!

Amazing staff. Tab system for drinks and food. Incredible location with a wonderful view of volcano Barú. Dorms are very nice. Great pool with a Jacuzzi. Also you can book tours and trips in the reception. Recommended at the highest!

This hostel is absolutely beautiful. Reside in a castle is an experience in itself, but the benefits are beyond expectations : the place is very clean and comfortable, the atmosphere/music is great, the staff very friendly, excellent food… And the pool and jacuzzi are a must in the back of the ascent of the volcano Barú. Nothing to say, if this is a big thank you!

I just visited this place because it looked very interesting to my attention. I haven't stated but all I can say it is: I'm planning on visiting ans staying in there really soon. Very quiet place. Stunning views from the balcony on the 2nd floor. Relaxing place for going with friend, family or couple. I highly recommend if you are looking to escape from the daily routine and having a chill on this hidden castle. You can practice rock climbing as well. Enjoy drinking a coffee while reading a book with a beautiful view right in front of your eyes at the morning. Swim at the pool in evening.
