It would take me two days to write all the great things about this incredible place but lets summarize it. When you reach the main island you still have to take a taxi boat to come to Los Secretos but once you get closer to the pier of this place you realize this was the best choice you have made. The peace that comes over you when you step out of the boat is not to describe with words. Xavier or his lovely wife Dorote welcome you by the boat and take you to your room with the most amazing view over the water. Everytime you stand (sit) on your balcony you hear the birds singing or monkeys jumping from a tree to a tree, caymans or frogs or just simple the sound of the ocean.
Xavier's guest house is right in the middle of beautiful jungle garden that offers a nice walk where you surely spot some nice animals. We have seen dolphins every day from the balcony, every evening two toed or three toed sloth came to eat the flowers under Xavier's guesthouse that you could almost touch him. Our kids were so excited to see a sloth from such a distance, never thought it would be possible.
Xavier and Dorote cook every evening a delicious dinner (we had lobster, 2x fish and porkchop) with a nice wine, homemade bread and nice desert afterwards. Their hospitality is amazing. They are sweet and very friendly and their 2 year old daughter Lily was a great company to our two boys. Balu and Allin, the two dogs, were big friends with our boys and there were tears coming down the cheeks when we had to leave them behind.
This place felt like home, we enjoyed every minute there, kayak, fishing from the pier, you name it. This is a place that you would definatelly love to come back to. Thank you guys for everything. Xxx.
