The 2 Magpies, Hunza

The cottage has beautiful wooden interiors, clean rooms, and stunning mountain views. The atmosphere is quiet and cozy, perfect for relaxing. There’s also a small market nearby, so you can easily get all your essentials. The food was amazing too.

This is one of the nicest hotel experiences I have ever had. So good we returned for two more stays as part of our visit. The owners and the staff are lovely and welcoming.
The site has been carefully curated to encourage the feeling that you are in the woods. The chalets are fantastic, well made, sustainable, cared for and clean. They have fantastic views of Rakaposhi mountain.
The attention to detail is amazing, with handcrafted elements everywhere you look. The owner is a keen carpenter and bird expert — this comes through throughout the hotel.
The food is amazing, with great Local and European options. The staff are so lovely and helpful.
If you appreciate nature, calm, great food and lovely, interesting people, this is the place for you.

We stayed at 2Magpies for a couple of nights, and our experience was beyond amazing. It’s a truly beautiful place — something I never thought I’d see in Pakistan. The cabins nestled in the woods are a nature lover’s dream. Waking up to the sound of birds chirping and sipping my morning coffee while looking at the majestic Rakaposhi felt absolutely surreal.
The owners, Ambreen and Arif, are the sweetest couple, full of warmth and positive energy and their entire team, including Inayat, Salman, Alizain and the rest of the boys were incredibly hospitable and kind. The food here was also exceptional, easily the best we had in Hunza.
I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Hunza, it’s an experience you’ll never forget.

Our family didn't actually stay here, but would have loved to! Discovered this unique place down the road from our accommodation (Hunza Bliss). Absolutely beautiful, bird-themed, mini-resort with carefully thought out attention to detail by the owner who is a well-known bird watcher. Decorated throughout with locally made arts and craft. Abundant use of coloured glass, hand-paintes tiles and cane furniture. The huts are named after birds and are equally beautiful with a central fire-pit to enjoy. We tried their home-made ice cream which was delicious. Very friendly and courteous staff. The 2Magpies is on our bucket list as a top favourite 😊

I’m obsessed with this place! It truly is such a magical spot! The staff is so nice and helpful. The views are stunning! The restaurant is super delicious and has a ton of options. Their desserts are my favorite :) must try the pumpkin ice cream! Everything in the room is thought out. They have things to clean your feet after hiking, fresh water in the room, a fridge, hot water! I could go on and on. Such a cozy place! Highly recommend! Oh and they are a sustainable forward / environmentally friendly place which I love! They also have a garden right outside of my room :) I can’t wait to come back and visit one day!

A nature loving hotel, straight off with a fantastic menu, have a protein rich breakfast of Omelette to start the morning. Rooms are very comfortable and the views fantastic. Arif and Umbreen have done a very good job with details showing their efforts. Lovely homely couple, fantastically educated and knowledgeable, capable of providing a very good cerebral evening.

A Hidden Gem in the Heart of Nature – 2 Magpies Hotel and Café
We stumbled upon the 2 Magpies Hotel and Café by chance while exploring the local area, and what a wonderful surprise it turned out to be. The place has a warm, rustic charm that immediately draws you in. The wooden decor is beautifully done — you can tell a lot of thought and care has gone into creating a welcoming atmosphere.
The food menu was impressive, with a wide range of options that made it hard to choose just one dish. Between the seven of us, we ordered a variety of drinks and meals, and everything was fresh, flavourful, and well-presented. We were pleasantly surprised that the total cost was very reasonable for the quality and quantity we received.
The staff and chef were incredibly friendly and took the time to chat with us about the menu and ingredients. It added a personal touch that made the whole experience even more enjoyable.
The surrounding area is beautifully wooded and peaceful — perfect for a relaxing stay. Inshallah, we’re already looking forward to coming back and staying here next time.

+Rooms are cosy cabins/chalets.
+Staff are incredibly helpful and speak good English.
+Food menu is local/international and good quality (plus reasonable price)
+Communal areas of lounge, snug, dining areas and outside decking are comfortable and have good Wi-Fi (plus the terrace gives great views of Rakaposhi! )
+Location is good — short drives to other Hunza villages and treks.

They have the best food in Hunza, and the service level is amazing. Good value for money. This hotel is for those who are adventure driven and don't mind living in a forest.

Rooms were extremely clean, like 5 star hotels.
Staff was outstanding and cordial.

The place is iconic on a beautiful location overlooking the valley, mountains and beautiful sky.
The rooms are you eco-friendly and beautiful. However the gap below the door keeps the cold air getting inside the room (which is not suitable for winters) and allows insects to crawl in.
The staff are very helpful and friendly.
The dinner was good; we tried local cuisine. But the breakfast is subpar.
The main negative thing about this place is the internet; very slow and unavailable most of the time.

This was our first stay at the 2magpies and I must say it was one of the best hotels I have stayed at, we were given a warm welcome by the owners who were both lovely. The rooms were clean with ample toiletries, filtered water and lovely decor. Breakfast was delightful as was the surroundings and garden area. Staff were friendly and really helpful. Overall an amazing stay! We will surely return!

My trip's best part was staying at this amazing resort. The person who designed it did an incredible job creating a peaceful and beautiful space. Every detail made me feel like I was in my own world. The staff were incredibly welcoming and made my stay unforgettable. Thank you for creating such a wonderful place. I don't usually write reviews, but my experience was too good not to share.

I spent 2 nights here on my solo trip through the north with Traverse and it was just magical. The views from the place were incredible, it might be the best view of rakaposhi I saw on the whole trip. The cabins were so cozy and private with no noise pollution. Best part was the hot showers, where the water stayed hot throughout the entire shower. The staff was also great, the owners were around as well, everyone made you feel at home. Sakhee Ahmad, the manager, was incredibly nice and made the stay seamless and pleasant.

Although I have yet to stay at the 2 Magpies Tourist Resort in Aliabad, Hunza, I am well aware of the incredible work done by Umbreen Arif and Arif Amin, who have made Hunza their home and created this beautiful resort for visitors. Their dedication to providing a serene and welcoming experience in the heart of nature is commendable. I wish them continued success and strength as they serve Pakistan by promoting the unique charm of Hunza and contributing to the local tourism sector.
