I had a wonderful stay at this resort — the entire setup is thoughtfully designed and very well put together. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and come stocked with all the essentials including air conditioning and hot, pressurized water, which made a big difference in comfort.
One of the highlights was walking through the peaceful orchards on the property — a really relaxing experience. The dining area, especially in the evening with the string lights, has a warm, cozy charm to it that makes every meal feel special.
The owner is also really caring for his guests and his staff will look after you well. Also, special mention to the resident cat — incredibly friendly and adorable, always lounging around and happy to greet guests.
I’d highly recommend this place if you’re planning a stop in town. It’s a beautiful, quiet escape that’s clearly been created with care and attention to detail.

We had an overall positive experience during our stay. The staff were incredibly friendly, courteous, and attentive — always ready to accommodate our needs with a smile. The food was another highlight: great taste and a wide variety at every meal. We were even welcomed with freshly prepared juice, which was a lovely gesture.
One of the unique features of the property is its large fruit garden filled with apple, cherry, apricot, and grape trees. Our kids were thrilled to pick some fruits — though we weren’t quite sure if that was encouraged or just tolerated — it would help if that aspect was made clearer. Still, it was a memorable activity for the family.
The owner was present most of the time, which shows involvement, but he came across as reserved. A warmer welcome from him would have added a more personal touch to the stay.
A few suggestions for improvement: it would be great to have curtains or blinds in the living lounge area for privacy, and perhaps a more comfortable, shaded area with fans for drivers, especially during warmer months.
Despite the minor points, we truly enjoyed our stay and appreciated the hospitality. We'd be happy to return and recommend the place to others.

We booked Suite & it was very good. Overall great environment. All amenities were available in room. Really enjoyed organic fruits right from the trees. Had bone fire. If someone wants very relax stay away from hustle bustle of life, do give a try. Only negative is that almost no phone or internet network and very limited channels on TV. Also food was average not bad but not on better side.

It is an amazing place to relax and enjoy the nature in peace. Served with unlimited fresh cherries that you can pick, and great food especially Gorkun (local dish), this resort was the perfect place to conclude our vacation.

Das-e-Basi is a hidden gem near Gilgit, for those travellers who want to be away from the hustle/bustle of Gilgit-Baltistan in peak season. It is described as an orchard resort. The large gardens are great for families with young children, and safe. There are countless fruit trees, we noticed and were able to pick fruit from cherry trees, Apricots and Mulberry trees. There were apple trees but it was too early in season for any fruit. There are couple of fish ponds and some "farm" animals (goats, chickens, ducks and the family dog called Lilly along with couple of Persian cats) on site too roaming the gardens. We stayed in the Naltar Suite, a two-bedroomed suite with a large central lounge that has two sofas, bean bags and a large screen LED TV and a home theatre system. The TV has paid Netflix account but due to slow internet, it was not of much use. Not an issue for us as on holiday in such a beautiful area, last thing you want to do is watch TV. We were told that Fibre internet is due to be installed soon so the internet issues should be resolved. The food is prepared onsite with limited menu of mainly local dishes. Again work was ongoing for an on-site restaurant which is due to open for next season, apparently.
The host/owner is a retired major from the Pakistani army, Ejaz, is an encyclopedia of knowledge on Gilgit-Baltistan and a great host, always on-site and always eager to help.

It is a very beautiful place, the orchard was stunning full of cherries. Meal was OK, overall a good experience.

I recently visited das e basi resort with my Malaysian guests. That's the one place I recommend you to visit. Beautiful orchards, luxury rooms and great service. The ambiance has no match. Located at Nomal valley provided you with a base camp to traverse around Gilgit, Naltar, Nagar and Hunza. A must go place.

Excellent staff, great food, the most delicious cherries I've every had. A slice of paradise. Our kifs aged between 18 and 7, thoroughly enjoyed their stay. We hope to visit again next year.

The 24/7 Wi-Fi and backup power supply were reliable and much appreciated during our stay.

One of the standout experiences at Das-e-Basi was the opportunity to pluck fresh apricots and cherries from the orchard with the gracious permission of the hosts. This added a unique and delightful touch to our stay, connecting us with the local environment and culture.

The culinary experience at Das-e-Basi was remarkable. Upon check-in, we were welcomed with fresh cherry juice, a refreshing and delightful start to our stay. Dinner featured Baloshi meat, which was absolutely delicious and a highlight of our dining experience. Breakfast was equally impressive, with a tasty omelette and the best parathas I've had during our 7 day family trip. The quality and flavor of the food truly enhanced our overall experience.

Cycling through the area with friends. Stumbled across this amazing place not expecting such a place to exist. Very helpful and friendly host, nice clean rooms, taste organic local food, lovely garden with great views to chill out in. Highly recommended.

A traveller's dream and a wanderer's poem. This is probably the best place to savour nature and serenity. Extremely tastefully construction with motto of organic construction and local materials.
Food is always prepared fresh, and local delicacies are served.
This orchard / farm restaurant offers cherry trees 🍒, fish ponds, pets, swimming pools, wheat fields, and most importantly, peace.
