Great place and very fantastic for relaxation ❤️
I recommend strongly.
I have called 3, times for information regarding booking for the weekend.
all the staff was busy and they took my number and never bothered to call back.
very bad service.
Very expensive samba restaurant, Grilled Black Angus Fillet 200 gms 21 OMR = 45 euros! Also there something wrong, the lat time I had a lunch with my family so I ordered different plates I pay around 50 OMR using my credit card. But this time I used 50 OMR coupons but the quantity was really small, just small pieces…! Why when I pay using credit card not the same using coupons!? 🤔🤔🤔🤔
Fabulous resort, friendly staff, great food, the best breakfast we have had in Muscat at bait al bahr. Highly recommended, Pre dinner drinks and canapé at BAB lounge, thanks to all the staff. We had a wonderful Anniversary ❤️
Very bad service.
Had gone for the dinner buffet to Samba restaurant as it was my husband's birthday even after calling a day before and reserving, the table was not booked for us.
The buffet was bad, the watermelon juice had no taste at all and the food was limited
At the time of reservation the person asked me if I have an entertainer and during the time of paying they mentioned no we are not on entertainer. Then why did he ask me about it?
There was also a confusion on the birthday cake that was pre ordered.
A very very bad experience, would not recommend anyone to spend so much money and go through so much trouble.
Relaxation place,, nice view place, quiet room,,, awesome view,,,.
I am currently staying here and just ordered food from the pool side bar and it was terrible, I ordered the Wagyu burger plus chips and my partner ordered the chicken & satay fried rice and both were covered in cooking oil. The bottom part of bun that the burger was in fell apart in my hands cause it was so wet with oil, the rice that my partner had was also very oily.
we were also told that today there was no alcohol allowed to be served outside, only alcohol allowed will be served in our room. If I wanted to drink alcohol in my room or balcony I would have stayed at home in Al Mouj and not spent over 100omr (£200 for dinner, bed and breakfast) for 2 ppl for 1 night.
An unmatched location. Beautiful beach surrounded by jagged hills. Sprawling campus with wonderful amenities. One of the best resorts in the world. Have stayed here twice already and plan to come back for more!
I had wonderful experience there! Beautiful private beach, nice room, professional staffs and for me, it’s the best place for relaxing my body and soul. So peaceful I’ll definitely come again.

A fabulous place. Beautiful surroundings, excellent rooms, wonderful staff, great food. Highly recommended.
Highly recommended! One of the Best resorts in Oman. Best Benedict eggs, predinner cocktail and service ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Beautiful location and hotel, lovely food and wonderful friendly and helpful staff.
It was a-great experience staying in Shangrila, beautiful surroundings nice rooms & good service.
Romantic atmosphere, quiet rooms, nice breakfast, kids friendly and enjoyed a lot.
Very friendly staff with great sense of hospitality! Breakfast buffet is rich and full of many choices.
Great location with excellent service, a very nice resort.
Marvelous hotel in an awesome location to be relaxed and enjoyed. Wonderful pool facility is available. Pool view rooms are really nice. Family friendly. Loved the hotel.
Beautiful place. Yes I highly recommend the place.
Very nice hotel, we have been there at least 10 times but FYI during Ramadan you cannot have ANYTHING at the beach. Not even a glass of water during sunbathing!
Shangrila Al waha such a very nice and amazing place to all guests. The peaceful and quiet spacious place makes everyone home. Keep it up.
Overall the hotel is excellent. Customer service wonderful. So good that cars are now valet parked. Food wonderful. 1 suggestion would be some small bottles of wine in the mini bar. The only criticsim I would mention was that the temperature of the pool was very cold. I appreciate it needs to be cool due to the high temperatures but it was so cold it was difficult to get in! Noticed other guests were reluctant to enter it!
The hotel was amazing and services were impeccable. We stayed at both Al Waha and Al Husn. Ahmed at Samba restaurant was very attentive as were the staff members who worked with him. Ramadan who drove us to Al Husn and the marina was lovely to talk to and extremely kind and helpful. The shuttle service is extremely useful. Thank you for a wonderful holiday.
A great place to take a weekend off.
It was just wonderful! A quiet, calm, measured holiday. Particularly pleasantly surprised by the ban on visiting our hotel residents, especially their children, from Al Wahi and Al Bandar. Our hotel decently holds the brand "Forbidden to children under 16. " It's just great! Thank you for a wonderful holiday. And see you again! My wife and I bought a holiday to Tunisia for August 2019 before we arrived. Now we will solve the issue of abandonment of Tunisia and will reserve ONLY YOUR HOTEL!
We celebrated our 5th marriage anniversary here 2 years back n we were so and even after 2 years this time also having great time ☺️
The best holiday resort in Muscat. Brilliant place. The food, staff, the service and atmosphere makes you feel you are very special. Well done.
I absolutely enjoyed our stay there. Friendly and helpful staff, outstanding food and the hotel itself is really nice. Loved the entertainment and the beach! Especially the little signs for the turtles at the beach!
The place is recommendable and commendable, from room to the pool and other amenities.
The scenic view is really nice, a time well spent by the beach… a real change of atmosphere.
Though it's kind of pricey for the food but still we loved the range of foods served.
We're planning our next trip again here with our friends. Would definitely try other spots and activities in the area.
Hope you could add more shades by the pool since the heat can really be hot and uncomfortab…le.
Perhaps transfer the splash area to the pool area for the kids to enjoy it more. Needs more of it. Add more slide too. Adults need to have fun too with their families.
Thanks.
The hotel is very stylish, the rooms are spacious and it is a very lovely resort to stay in. When we arrived the hotel very late, there was not really anyone helping with the luggage. We had to take the luggage ourselves from car to the reception. I would expect this to be taken care of in a five-star hotel. Otherwise I think the service is good all times. I also appreciate the great breakfast, afternoon tea and the drinks. However, I think the little bites for the drinks were too warm for the weather considering that you were serving fish. Also the afternoon tea assortment was served too warm. I felt there might be a risk of getting ill if the food is not kept cool enough in such weather.
Amazing first trip to Oman. The hotel is fantastic, the staff are amazing and nothing is ever too much trouble. The snorkelling was incredible. Loved the afternoon tea and drinks hour too. Great to have the pool table (although the room is too small! ). The staff seem really relaxed with each other and with the guest which is so important. If staff are too worried all the time the guest can feel that tension. Thanks to Eloise, Milan, Robert, Matias and all the staff.
It used to be an amazing place but now the management has changed and they are unaccommodating and rigid… we got vouchers and booked for the day after they expired amd they weren't willing to do anything. I get it, they expired yesterday but the previous management was always 'customer first'
An outstanding hotel. The GM is clearly a great leader and gains the utmost respect from the staff and is liked by them, and guests alike. The service is fabulous and all staff deserve mentions as they are all excellent and can’t do enough for you. The breakfast service is a little slow, both at bringing out food (presume chefs are busy) but clearing too. That said, the staff are all brilliant so I can’t complain too much. Everywhere is spotless, and the location breathtaking.
Very nice resort. Well-groomed, courteous. Anytime gladly again.
Our stay at Al Husn was wonderful. It is a beautiful designed, serene and tranquil hotel, with superb staff who are friendly, efficient and always go the extra mile to please you. The service and food were outstanding and our room was beautifully appointed, spacious and very comfortable. We will certainly return.
Despite the size very well maintained, very nice pool area and very good food, even if you only eat in the buffet — restaurant. Bathing in the sea is fantastic. However, all three hotels are located in a closed bay, so you have no connection to the rest of the Omani world. By taxi to Muscat — Mutrah about 25 minutes. For a not so long beach holiday highly recommended.
Lovely beach and pool area. Staff were all fantastic and attentive without being overattentive. We really enjoyed the spa treatment, however felt very mislead regarding the complimentary hamper which in reality was a few free samples and not a hamper at all. Not much choice in restaurants. I got food poisoning from the main restaurant where breakfast was served and then had to pay to get drugs to stop the sickness so I could make it to the airport, not a good last impression.
Extraordinary position
all the service was perfect
the service is at the top.
FYI to anyone who wants to enjoy a day in paradise or one of the great offers they have for ramadan: part of the pool is closed for maintenance and there's no buffet! Instead we had access to a la carte lunch and went for the Samba restaurant. The main courses there were good but as desserts came we were totally disappointed with unfrozen desserts with bland tastes. I've never been served a dessert that ridiculous in a hotel of that standard! I feel completely ripped off specially when I know what to expect and enjoyed it so many times before! Ramadan shouldn't be an excuse to get money out of people when the service is definitely not available.
Great hotel. Excellent breakfast. Warm welcome.
This is a wonderful Resort for couples and families. Nice place to enjoy the beautiful beach and the many swimming pools and swimming and other related activities like jetski, canoeing, sailing, … etc (you name it they have it). The kids will have so much fun going down the demon slides at the Adventure zone and you and your special one will enjoy the romantic couple massage at Chi the spa! It was the perfect place for a staycation! The restaurant and bar options are great and the food is delicious. Also all the staff are friendly and helpful. We will definitely be going back.
My husband and Stayed with some friends who were visiting. We have done the day in paradise several times and therefore had high expectations. Unfortunately the overall experience was not good, as vegans we were not catered for. Chefs unwilling to adapt recipes, and then unfortunately on our second night a vegetable paella was attempted but was served very bland in flavour. Staff in the Moroccan restaurant were unpleasant and inflexible. Our issues were conveyed to the hotel manager during our 2 night stay, we did get an apology, however, there was absolutely no offer of any kind of compensation for our experience. I have stayed in many 5 star hotels and this doesn’t compare and everything is extremely overpriced.
I will not be staying again or recommending.
One positive I will share is The BAB lounge and piano bar staff were brilliant and understand customer service. They need more people like this.
Wonderful situation in the Bay. Beach and pool with restaurants. Very nice distribution. But the quality of the food:… poor and expensive. I tried 5 restaurants … disillusion also because the scenery is so beautiful! The breakfast buffet is very good and the happy hour in the patio very romantic. But not enough to justify the prices.
Extraordinary experience. Nice and friendly staff. A hotel decorated with refinement.
Great hotel in a local style with beautiful views, clean, high quality rooms, pointed infinity pool nestled in a sprawling overall area of the Shangri La.
Very quiet location with marina and diving base nearby. Veeeeery Beautiful.
We had a great couple of days here. We were so fortunate to catch the Sea Turtles hatching on the beach as well. Great staff and good food. Also great snorkelling opportunities just off the beach.
Wonderful resort, wonderful staff. Al Husn is a unique holiday experience. All staff are very friendly and attentive. They treated us like family and they were very supportive of each other. No problems during our stay.
Fantastic place to relax. Beautiful beach, nice pool and lazy river very nice. Buffet was great with fresh seafood. Pity there was lots of plastic in the water at beach. Considering it's a breeding place for turtles it should be checked more often, specially for plastic bags.
What an amazing weekend! Headed to Oman for a birthday weekend stay at this magically beautiful resort. The natural beauty of the mountains and the ocean coming together to create a peaceful and tranquility ambiance. The hotel itself is wonderful. So peaceful and quiet. The staff is amazing, very courteous, always wiling to help, friendly and polite. The scents and aroma adds a personal touch and a feel of home. The breakfast buffet was fantastic and food was delicious. The only downside is the pools closes at 8pm and I was rather disappointed because I enjoy a late swim. However our stay was amazing. Especially ending it of on an adrenaline jet ski tour around the cost. Highly recommended and it's worth every penny!
I had the buffet lunch at Al Tanoor and it was absolutely terrible, this place has been on a downward spiral for a while. Its not worth at all the food is tasteless some of the staff try their best while others have no clue on what is going on. Overall experience was terrible. This place in my opinion is serving two star food for a five star prices.
Stayed here for my other half's birthday and it was one of the best experiences. The hotel were sweet enough to put a 'happy birthday' cake in the room, such a lovely touch. The sunset drinks and music and the afternoon treats that are included just enhance the ambience of the stay. Breakfast food was lovely (slightly annoying that there were kids at breakfast when the hotel was adults only at the time of our stay). The pool and private beach are lovely too although we used the pool most of all. I loved having the option of watching the TV in the room, while having a bath! My other half was taking a nap and I could watch the TV in the bath without the sound in the bedroom itself, a very clever little touch. Staff service was faultless and when we called down for extra drinks to be delivered, they were with us within 5 minutes.
Beautiful resort high perched, private beach very beautiful and natural, site of turtle Ponts. Breakfast is good but not exceptional at the level of choice (few varieties of fresh fruit E. G. ). The service sometimes leaves to be desired (20-25 min for a freshly squeezed juice or eggs). The room is very comfortable, large bathroom but the water in the shower stagnate and ends up on the floor outside. Prefer the West Wing for the view of the private beach and the ocean. The expectation of the Club because is sometimes too long. Restaurants sharazade excellent, Sultanah very expensive (40 USD for 250 ml of wine).
Positive experience on a general level. The management "Lunch and dinner" disappointed me in that, having chosen, for the sake of practicality, half board, if I wanted to dine at the self service I had to go to another resort because in the resort Al Husn there is no self service but only restaurant "a la carte".
Beautiful Hotel in 3 parts. One for family one for people on vacation and one last for n not liking the noise. We loved Part 2. Great breakfast
For Part 3… many people seniors.
Wonderful hotel complex on a great sandy beach. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant is of a high standard and is very varied.
The rooms are spacious, friendly and modern and equipped with balcony, shower and bathtub and air conditioning.
In short, a super great hotel to feel good and relax.
Hotel a lot busier than last year. Not enough sun beds round pool or beach. The new "pods" are not very good and not used, and take up space! Attendants taking payment to reserve beds for guests unacceptable. Breakfast at times over crowded, and food order incorrect on several occasions. Happy hour very nice but again not enough seats. If you came at 630pm you wouldn't get a seat. Staff always helpful, polite and attentive. All very clean and the food quality was very good. The restaurants however are becoming too expensive (more than London prices) and again crowded. If you didn't book ahead at the beginning of the week you would struggle to get a table at the time you wanted. Building work not complete (advised all would be up and running by Jan) Some noise from this whilst around the pool. Bill incorrect on departure. We did have a lovely holiday but the above points give room for improvement. I will have to seriously consider if I will return again until these issues are addressed.
Well run, attractive five star hotel forming part of a group of three around a bay with lots of mostly shared amenities. Large, clean room. Fabulous breakfast buffet. Plenty of sunbeds and perfect weather. Need to book some restaurants in advance during busy times. Particularly liked sitting outside at the Tapas restaurant although the Sangria could have been stronger.
I would actually give a 4.5 rating as I think overall this is a fabulous, well maintained hotel with lots of extras that make your holiday. This is the second year that we have come here and we weren’t disappointed. The food at the buffet has improved, our room was far better than the 1st time we visited, the room was so well equipped and the attention to detail everyday bringing fresh fruit, towels, flowers, toiletries etc was outstanding (although we did pay a lot more for a bigger room). The spa was beautiful, I had a massage in a spa villa which was heavenly. The pools and outdoor facilities are brilliant for kids and adults. Again the detail of fresh fruit and ice boxes with water is very welcomed. The addition of 2 water slides this year was also fantastic. It was the other restaurants that let it down for me. The fish restaurant serves amazing food but it was so expensive and the service really wasn’t great. The same goes for the Italian. I also struggle with asking for a table for 5 and getting place settings for 4. My son is nearly 3 and to have to constantly ask for a knife and fork and water glass and water to go in it gets a little tiresome. That really was my only gripe, the shuttle bus and service at reception can be a little slow but I sometimes put that down to our fast pace of life in the U. K.! Overall a wonderful holiday and would highly recommend.
A dream of a hotel. Great resort by being able to use all the areas of the adjacent hotels.
The buffet Restaurant Al Tanoor was outstanding. The breakfast at Al Husn Great.
Beautiful beach… great hotel.
Amazing resort. Great place to relax. Breathtakingly beautiful.
Beautiful location but very expensive.
Your staff are amazing and so polite. Thank you for making our holiday so special. Fantastic view over the beach. Loved the breakfast and cream teas.
Our latest stay at the Shangri-La, Al Jissah, Al Husn is the fourth time we have visited and stayed at the Hotel. What is most striking about the Hotel, other than the location, is the level of service provided that has been uniform for each of our visits. Worthy of mention is the team who work so hard, on a daily basis, to ensure guests receive the best of attention. This clearly, is down to professional management but, and perhaps more important is the 'foot soldiers' who work tirelessly carrying out their daily tasks with enthusiasm and pride in what they do. It is obvious from a guest prospective that both management teams and the employees are extremely well motivated and nothing but the best will do. The location of the Hotel is first class, the rooms are spacious with fantastic views and the facilities in the room, which are all included in the price, provide excellent value for money. We will be back again, most definitely. Thank you.
Good sized rooms, very friendly and helpful staff. The food was very good, and the free mini bar and evening canapes were a nice touch. We enjoyed the private beach and it was good to have a variety of different types of sun loungers. Live entertainment was good (The violinists in the courtyard, the Piano Bar, Amy Tjasink on the beach) and the music at the BAB lounge was very good.
Great hotel. C is beautiful, it is good and we relax.
Great well maintained & very extensive facility, very attentive & well trained staff. Pure relaxation!
It was just a pity that the "Best Price Guarantee" on the website was undercut by 15% by other platforms and this was justified by "currency fluctuations" (wrongly) …
We are a 10 day in Suite 1066 at Hotel Al Husn. Everything tap top, clean and well maintained. Great pool.
Although we live in Muscat itself we decided to spend 2 days at Al waha to get some quality family time from Wednesday to Friday but at the entrance we experienced something very strange, all the 'Foreigners' were given welcome drinks while we were ignored right there and over all we noticed there was a lot of discrimination at this resort hence our family trip wasn't pleasant as we expected it to be. The complimentary breakfast at Samba restaurant wasn't very appealing as well. Way below Shangrila standards. We ordered some room service and it took them 4hours to get it to us after multiple reminders. We had a baby with us, later in the afternoon requested we to get help in heating up his milk, no one bothered to get back to us again. We had to drive to a local restaurant to get it done that evening. I think I'd rather take my family to a more accommodating resort than this one where we could enjoy our holiday over worrying about little things. The washroom, bedding and pillows were all perfect.
Perfect! We have booked the suite 1066 for 8 days. Everything is clean, the staff very friendly. The surrounding area allows even shorter walks. The pools are clean, the sea (in January! ) refreshing.
This was our second stay at Al Husn — certainly not our last!
Such friendly staff and great choice of pools and restaurants. Plus fully staffed kids club. Lovely beach and varied choice of things to do for children.
Great place. Unfortunately some sea views are partially obstructed, but they moved us to an unobstructed view room (they had one available) so they still get 5 stars. Customer setvice is awesome though.
A great family retreat for couple of days. Large area with multiple activities, for adults and children. Sea sports. Swimming pools. Gym. Spa. Kids zone. Multiple choices for eating and lounges. The breakfast buffet was variant and great. Only draw back that it’s distant from muscat if you want to have daily trips to shopping malls or so. Other wise it’s great to stay in a calm and peaceful place for couple of days away from the city.
Excellent for all aspects. Coast but it's worth.
Good views good hospitality and good location.
Spent there a full day, enjoy a clean and nice beach weather in September. The formula was inclusive a buffet of a big variety of sea food and other beef, lamb and poultry.
Always book as couples at Al Husen!
Very good service, friendly and courteous service. All in all, a highly recommended hotel. Five stars especially for the ambience that is exelent throughout the house, which is exactly tailored to the country. Even the restaurants I can only recommend, there is something for every taste.
Wonderful peaceful place. The sea shore is the best you will find. They have a wonderful pool and the awesome guides who are ready to help you. The rooms are good enough for an enjoyable stay. They offer wonderful breakfast and the restaurants are very good. The hotel is surrounded with rock mountains and have nothing accessible nearby. It's an isolated place.
Nice complex. There are a few resorts depending on whether you want adults only, kids or villas. It's a bit loud in the villas closest to the main road because some people like to "hear their engines" as they drive up/down the hill. Resorts are nice, with beautiful beaches. Pools are kept warm/cool when needed. The restaurants and lounges are nice. Overall a nice place to stay. Keep in mind it's a little far from Muscat attractions, so you'll need a car or to take taxis for that.
Performed at a wedding held at the turtle beach (privately owned by the hotel?. Its a five star and has a classy ambiemce! Coveres a huge area and leaves no stone unturned to provide you with the utmost luxury possible! If you wanna feel like a king and be pampered like one, this is the place you should be at!
Excellent hotel. Staff attentive and very helpful. Everything is made to feel comfortable and enjoy its stay in the best conditions. Full of little touches throughout the day commendable. Pool and beach very nice and the room spacious and functional. I highly recommend it!
Extraordinary and tranquil Resort.
Luxurious, friendly staff, leaves nothing to be desired, excellent food and breakfast buffet, private beach area, infinity pool.
Stunning setting with natural rock escarpment. The breakfast is awesome I had a sea facing room with balcony. They have two properties in one with a regular shuttle between. The room's were big the bathroom was huge.
Great place to chill out and enjoy the sunshine. I recommend the sun loungers on the grass between the pool and beach — cooler to stand on!
— lovely beach with clear blue sea and sky surrounded by mountains
— lovely hospitality of hotel staff
— good spread of buffet breakfast especially live kitchen is quite alive with cook who actively engages with you to prepare as over your request
— good drink options in bar as well as beach with mouth watering snacks
— amenities are decent though they can think of increasing few more options like free bicycle to roam around, more beach & sea games etc
— complimentary bus to city centre is good
— few more kids activities could enrich overall experience of families
— lazy river is relaxing along with jacuzzi
— lovely view of sunrise
— staff overall are quite friendly, helpful and courteous
— Overall a recommended place to relax with best of sea & sky.
Great restaurants and have alot of varieties to chhoice from and big place for dinnin. However it remain expensive.
The hotel and the facility are great but the staff are unqualified the services as well we request baby coat at 7pm, we receive it at 1am, same for mini bar, we had small problem and the manager of the pool bar start shouting on us, if you want to relax definitely the staff will not let you do.
The service was bad, we requested them to remove the mini bar and bring 2 baby coat 5 times we cheaked in at 7pm and recived the baby coat at 12:55 am the same for mini bar, I don't recomand this hotel to any one.
This is without doubt a stunning resort in a stunning location! (especially for beach and snorkeling lovers). Our room was spacious and well appointed and overlooked the larger bay where the two other hotels are located – the view was beautiful. It also had a huge bathroom/mini walk in closet. Beers, other non-alcoholic drinks and snacks from the minibar are all included in the room rate. Included in the rate there is also an afternoon tea and a pre-dinner drink in the main external courtyard. The bigger gym (shared with the other two hotels) is large and well equipped. The Al-Husn gym is smaller, but has the basics for when the other gym is closed. The staff bent over backwards to be helpful, the beach and beach facilities were amazing, with plenty of beach activities and the spa is out of this world. We loved our stay and will be back in the near future :)
My husband and I were invited to have dinner along with others from his company to have dinner with clients. The food was delicious! The outside décor was beautiful. Take your camera. This hotel is beautiful!
Amazing high quality place with lots of facilities, water games for kids, pools, beach and a wonderful environment. Highly recommended.
I am a bit torn on this place. The main reason I didn't give a higher review is due to the restaurant staff and the price value ratio. First of all, the location is really great. You are basically right at the beach. The water is an amazing temperature the majority of the year. Then the swimming pools (specifically at Al Waha) are really nice. Especially the lazy river is great. Also you can use kayaks and snorkels. Snorkeling is nice as well: plenty of fish and some turtles. The visibility is not great though. The downsides: at a five star hotel I would expect the staff to make my life very easy, but there were various moments when things were more complicated than needed. First the baby bed was not in the room when we arrived, even though we had it on our reservation. At some point we asked some tables to be joined in the Samba restaurant. This was very complicated and needed a lot of convincing. Also, it was not possible in the pool bar to order from the Samba restaurant menu, even though their food comes from the same kitchen. Finally the restaurant staff needs to improve. They are generally friendly zijn but not very knowledgeable or good at communication. The food in the breakfast and dinner buffet has no/little variety over the course of a week. Also, the dinner buffet is quite expensive (25 OMR) In sum, though we had a really good time I don't want to give 5 stars.
Beautiful complex of 3 hotel: Al Waha (family with daycare), Al Bandar (casual chic) and al Husn (very chic).
The resort is a 30-minute taxi ride from the airport.
It is nice to have a mini cooler with water available at the beach and do not fight to have a sun lounger that are in sufficient numbers.
The rooms are spacious and comfortable (we stayed at Al Waha). And they are done several times a day, which means that we find a bed redone for napping, and then again in the evening. Nice.
Breakfast is very good and very varied.
Restaurants are plentiful in the complex. It's good, but very expensive. A pizza costs about fifteen euros, for a very average size. The spa is also overpriced.
The hotel is located outside the city. Taxis or rental cars are essential if you want to get there, which complicates any visit.
Tours are organised from the hotel, but they are as expensive as the rest. Count 60 OMR (150) for a quick tour of Muscat (4h, guide included) to two, 170 OMR for the more distant towers hemmed complete)
A dream for everyone looking for peace and relaxation.
I went to the beach, spent the day in the lovely waters, found a spot to lay down, got a towel and enjoyed this hotel. A bit overpriced maybe, but nothing left me feeling deceived. A good breakfast, a clean and enjoyable room and bathroom in a relaxing hotel. I think it's a good choice for a family get together.
Great hotel with good service (in the morning the Brillenputzer is going around! ). In addition to breakfast, high tea is included in the afternoon. In the evening there are canapes and alcoholic drinks with harp music. You can relax by the pool or on the beach. Muscat is easily reached by car (countless excursions are offered from the hotel). You can use the restaurants and bars of the two adjacent SL — hotels. There are always offers for Golden Circle members, where HP is already included. Very luxurious stay in front of a great backdrop.
I like the resort for a weekend getaway, Oman is beautiful with great beaches and friendly people. I have been here three times at the Shangri-la, I believe the service has gone down in level over the years but still a great overall experience.
Really nice place and good atmosphere but they spoiled it by giving me a partial sea view when I booked a sea view room. I mean it was impossible to see the sea from the room unless I walked into the balcony. Breakfast didn't have many options as well.
Corporate Convention: A superb setting.
Being part of the Shangri-la chain it is what you expect, it's a fantastic place to stay. The location of this is around 30 mins away from Muscat city. This is the only disadvantage. The hotel itself hosts its own beach which is fairly big giving you long stretch to walk on. There's lot of play areas for kids. The views from the hotel are amazing due to its location. Overall it's a 4.5 out of 5 due to location.
Wonderful enjoyment for kids good recreation for adults. Great experience always.
This resort is fabulous. With the al waha for a child friendly hotel and the al Bandar for a bit more class and relaxation. Truly amazing resort, just a little too far out of the 'true' Muscat.
Amazing resort for relaxing, having fun with kids, it's a must dropped in destination, the lobby layout is beautiful facing the Ocean. Unfortunately it has only one elevator & you have to walk long corridors to your room. Great 3 indoors kids swimming pools, the beach is well maintained. Breakfast variety was suitable for all ages (special corner for kids) Free Wifi, ATM machine, spa, gym is available in addition to tour activities for reasonable prices. I'd love if the beach had more lighting during the night for late walkers. Anjana from room service was polite & helpful. Highly recommended, Enjoy. Nk.
One of my favorite resorts, very friendly and helpful staff, amazing clean interconnected swimming pools for adults and kids, gorgeous beach, clean beach beds, free iced water coolers offered to the guests, so that you do not get dehydration from the Sun very cool.
Fantastic place with many options: from private beach, pools, water games for kids to snorkeling and boat sightseeing. High quality of place and service.
Awesome. Everything from room to buffet is high quality. The staff and service is very generous and outstanding.
No lighting in the night thus very hard to reach parking area. Road signs hard to see. Cat eyes needed on road.
Lovely rooms. Super service in general. Swimming pool a bit too shallow (1.2m deep) … Mediocre food (not upto my expectations from a 6-star hotel), also dress code for the restaurant (no shorts) was not communicated to me earlier which caused confusion. However, breathtaking scenery and serenity, and they did prepare a much-appreciated surprise for my anniversary visit.
A beautiful hotel situated in beach side with private beaches, cliffs and many more facility. One of the best resort to choose in Oman.
Wonderful structure, equipped with every comfort; Restaurants excellent and staff friendly and accomodating. From advise. We have stayed at the Wahla… in fact, the hotel is mainly frequented by families with young children, where … those who want more peace of mind can opt for al Husn.
Beautiful environment. Very relaxing.
The area is not close to anywhere and there is a low amount of facilities for al waha and no quiet pool.
Five-star excellent service with special attention to every little detail makes this resort a peaceful, relaxing, beautiful retreat. The staff are top-notch, professional and friendly.
It's a very nice and relaxing resort with a lot of facilities, variety of restaurants and bars. It has nice beaches and pools. It also offers some entertaining activities such as diving, boating and some kids fun games and activities. The views surrounding the resort are great. The only draw back is it is far away from the center of the city.
Top hotel in bar al jissah, bit expensive but worth the money.
The resort was nice, but a bit over priced. It's totally worth it though, because of its isolation, it's good for a one time visit but not more than that. The outdoor services were fantastic, they handed out cold water bottles in ice boxes, and towels at the beach and pool. The resort's lobby made this sweet trip bitter. We waited for 2 hours to get our room, and the key cards worked for around 5 hours before they stopped working. I changed the cards daily, and combined with the bad service in the lobby, it was a nightmare.
I'm a fan of this hotel. Because it has swimming pools for children and adults, and also because there is a beach.
If at all u r plannin a good resort n view I think u cant beat this… nice family place with good beach n pools … only comfusing is building n approach to deifferent floors are highly intricated like chakravyooha may be for security reasons… breakfast is highly delicious uncomparable … dolphin ahow really enjoyed with my kid.
Bedt hotel experience I've ever had in my life. The setting was just breath-taking! Who would say no to a hotel between the mountains and the sea. The service was exceptional. Every person of the staff was a professional at his job. All our requests were fulfilled. Kudos to such professional management.
Truly the best and finest Customer Service among the best hotels here in Oman. Superbly and highly recommended. All the stars rating and no words can express but to experience it!
It is an very nice place to stay and it has nice rooms and excellent food with good service it is highly recommended.
Had an excellent stay at Al Husn. While its not cheap, the complimentary mini-bar (including beer) which is topped up daily, cocktail hour, afternoon tea and private beach totally make it a worthwhile stay. For a great evening meal I suggest heading to Capri Court, fantastic Italian food there. My favour while staying at the resort.

RespondBeautiful hotel in a stunning setting. Service is impeccable, the amenities and rooms are fantastic and having an adults only private pool and beach was totally worth it. As was the complimentary mini-bar, including 4 little beer cans. It is on the pricey side, but if you want to splurge, I can't think of a better place to splurge on.
Absolutely exquisite hotel, perfect service, beautifully prepared food, lovely pools.
Simply the best… Better than all the rest.
It is a very nice place for a weekend getaway.
Fantastic resort hotel with beautiful beach and excellent restaurants. Staff are very welcoming and rooms well appointed.
Beautiful location very relaxing the service at some of the restaurants can sometimes become perplexing.
Excellent service, great land scape around you … emazing swimming pool, so nice spa.
Excellent place, setting, and food. But the service seems inexperienced and not worth the value. We waited more than 20 minutes for a buggy to take us back to our room from Bait Al Behar (awesome food and waiters).
Excellent service… awesome location.
Excellan resort! Value of money is great.

RespondLovely place to spend the weekend with the family. The price is little bit in the expansive side. But it worth it.
