Al Falaj Hotel - Secure City Escape in Muscat

Good value for the money, very gentle staff and services are great but there are 2 main things that I didn’t like.
Rooms were noisy and the fact that Yango cars couldn’t pick me up in front of the hotel, drove me crazy.
Breakfast was very nice.

I attended a study in India program organized at this hotel. The hotel facilities were good, staff was helpful and the program was well organized. Location is in the old city area and not far from the tourist areas of historic Matrah district.
Many Indian Universities that were here at the program, are reaching world standards with many internationally accredited courses on offer, that too at a fraction of the cost compared to the western counterparts. The day is not far when Indian student will prefer to study in India than going abroad.

They were extremely friendly, professional, and always willing to assist with a smile. Their attention to detail and warm hospitality made my stay truly comfortable and memorable.

My wife and I couldn’t be happier with our stay at Al Falaj Hotel. We originally booked for just one night but ended up staying four, simply because of how well we were treated. The staff here have an incredible warmth and human quality that made us feel at home from the moment we arrived.
The hotel itself offers excellent value. Breakfast was fantastic, with plenty of variety, and the gym is great, spacious, and included in the room price—a big plus for us. We also had several meals at the restaurant, and the food was consistently amazing. We even had the chance to meet the chef, who is not only a talented cook but also a genuinely kind person.
Our room was comfortable, clean, and well-equipped—exactly what we needed for a relaxing stay. Combined with the friendly reception team, everything about this hotel made our time in Muscat easy and enjoyable.
Located in the Indian neighborhood of Muscat, the hotel also gives you a sense of the city’s cultural diversity.
We will definitely return to Al Falaj Hotel the next time we’re in Muscat. Highly recommended.

Very homely stay. Warm welcome while checking in and superb services. Especially in restaurant Manager Mr. Ausin, staff Mr. Sukumar are an assets to the hotel. Their services to the guests is superb and uncompromised. Staff Ms. Risa also extending her full efforts a=to make customers homey by attention and services.

We had a good stay! The hotel is very convenient, close to most of the city’s attractions. They have parking if you’re driving, and the reception team is super helpful. The housekeeping staff were very friendly and made sure all our requests were accommodated. The room could use a bit of deep cleaning, some stains on the walls and curtains, but overall everything was great. We initially booked without breakfast but ended up trying it, and the food was simple and okay, nothing fancy, but fair for the price.

We had a party with 50 friends and colleagues at home and the catering team of the Falaj hotel took care of everything.
The team did an outstanding job. The food was superb and more than adequate. The service was impeccable and very attentive and friendly. The team always had a smile on their faces and were very attentive and proactive. All of our friends have praised the great atmosphere, the impeccable service, and the delicious food. Thank you to your team for making this evening a complete success.

I am absolutely disappointed with my experience at Al Falaj Hotel. The front desk staff was the worst I’ve ever encountered. They couldn’t find our booking, and when we provided all the necessary details, the receptionist (an Indian guy) had the audacity to tell us to sit and wait because the reservation staff was on lunch! What a joke! We ended up wasting an entire hour in the lobby with no updates. The front office staff is so unwelcoming, and it’s clear they lack basic training and manners.
To make matters worse, they weren’t even aware that the ladies’ Jacuzzi and sauna were unavailable. When I asked why and when these facilities would be available, the same receptionist was completely clueless. He said he would let me know, but of course, nothing came of it. He didn’t even bother to take my details, which confirms it was all nonsense. Frustrated, I decided to leave.
In my room, my HD device couldn’t connect to the TV, and I’m not even sure if it’s a real smart TV. The channels were terrible, and the only option was to mirror-cast from my phone. This stay was supposed to be relaxing, but instead, it was a complete disaster.
The only positive thing about our stay was the food and the restaurant staff, who were actually decent. But everything else was a huge disappointment, I will never ever recommend this place to anyone, and I will definitely not be coming back.

The rooms are relatively small but clean and comfortable. The range of options available in the breakfast buffet is good. I found all hotel staff to be courteous and helpful. I particularly thank James, who helped me with an Otaxi booking, significantly reducing the fare.

Nice place, nice rooms and excellent service. The staff are super helpful. I like the place. Breakfast is great. Restaurants provide quality foods. The hotel has got plenty of covered parking and a swimming pool. What more can you ask for.

Service is very good. All are very friendly. Chef Saravanan cooks food to our choice though it’s not in menu. Front office staff both the ladies are very friendly in getting our requirements met. Very good place to stay. Can be recommended for all.
