First Hotel Backpack

Spent here 3 nights, some rooms are pretty small, some are ok. It is very basic but good enough for short period. The staff is very friendly and helpfull. They gave us some tips for food and northernlights. Also the location is pretty good, it is uphill but close enough to the city centre.

I love how close the hotel is the city center! It’s a very short walk to the bus station that takes you to/from the airport. Luca helped me with my bags upon arrival and again when I left, even offering me a cab. There are also amenities at the front desk such as blow dryers, hats for the winter months, and a variety of drinks and cookies in the lounge. Whenever I’m back in Tromso, I will have to stay here again!

The room is very clean, apt for backpackers. Good view from window. Common washroom and shower rooms. Towel provided. Room lighting could have been better.

The hostel is at walking distance from the center and all main point of interests and meeting points for the excursions. Our room was simple but functional, with a small sink and a fridge in the room (bathroom was shared — clean and simple as well).
The kitchen had everything that you need for a quick meal and you also have free coffee/tea available all the time (unless the thermos run out of water late at night).
The girl at the reception was super nice and friendly, very welcoming.
Was it cheap? Not really but we expected to be a little pricy considering the high season and location. Still we were comfortable during our stay and that's what matters most.

The rooms were small, but for a one night stay, it was perfect! one flaw was the storage space, but like I said, it was fine for the short time spent there. The service was wonderful, and everyone was extremely friendly!

Excellent value-for-money and even better service. The staff were helpful and professional. Special shout-out to Caddy/Caddie, the very helpful receptionist from Germany who made us feel at home from the first minute we arrived.

The rooms were small for 1 person, its not bad, but there isn't alot of clear available space to put my bags and such for storage. With the exception of the floor and under the bed. A small closet or something would have been nice. But considering the targeted audience and price, I could understand why it's like that on a single person room. If it was an overnight sleepover, this would be great to stay inside and sleep.

The room was clean and so was the toilet that belonged to the room. Quiet hotel and nice customer service. Shops a few minutes' walk away. I recommend.

Uber clean, conveniently located, very quiet, utterly perfect answer to the value-minded traveler needing a safe and comfortable place to rest their head. There are other "Enter" properties in town, fancier and more expensive, but don't dare think their Backpack Hotel earns anything less than a stellar review.

Literally a couple minutes from a big supermarket and city centre.
Kitchen is decent enough to make food and facilities as well.
Only downside I would say is the Wi-Fi on lvl3 wasn't always good.

It was completely fine. We had a 3 bedroom. Small bathroom included, just after the shower it was flooded. Big kitchen with everything you need. Parking would cost seperatly but as we only stayed the night we took a (free) parking close by. Just a remark it is a bit uphill so some walking needed.

Staying at the entire backpack hotel was convenient, with a spectacular city view and close proximity to key locations. While the solo rooms were adequate, the absence of included breakfast and private bathrooms felt overpriced, possibly due to last-minute booking. However, Enter Backpack itself offered shared bathrooms, maintained well but may not suit everyone's preference. Additionally, there was a shared kitchen provided, although I didn't utilize it. For breakfast, I opted to pay separately at their sister chain, Enter Amelia, where I paid around £16 per day. The breakfast there was very decent with great choices, and the staff was super friendly. For those open to communal amenities, Enter Backpack is a decent option, though alternatives with private bathrooms and inclusive breakfast might be preferable.
Overall, my four-night stay was comfortable.

Great location, central in tromsø. Poor service, rooms weren't clean everywhere and issues with several of the appliences (clogged bathroom sink, toilet didn't stop flushing)

This hotel was great. Top service and a really friendly vibe. Shout out to the receptionists. They are killing the game with that awesome attitude and work. Big hug to them!

Very comfortable stay in the apartment. Small but pleasant and had all that we needed. Great location close to restaurants and cafes as well as walking distance to meeting points for group tours. Very friendly staff. Would stay again!

An ideal place for a short holiday with a wonderful view from the window and friendly service. Fully equipped kitchen open from 07:00 to 22:00, coffee and tea in thermoses. Close to all city attractions and buses. Clean room and bathroom with a hairdryer. I recommend and will certainly come back here.

Above the centre looking over the fjord, close to the bus stop from the airport. Friendly, helpful staff, room was basic but comfortable and everything needed was there. Has a hostel feel to it with the common room and kitchen, but it's more a cheap hotel in reality. Free coffee available, decent value, would stay again.
