Very dirty! Remains of coffee in furniture. Poorly washed mugs. Holes in the floor. Glass with dirt and spider webs. A fright.

Our room was noticeably old and rundown. There was a large hole in our bathroom door, lightbulbs were missing, there was rust in the bathroom, the shower went from ice cold to burning hot back to ice cold. The room was right above the reception area but our in room Wi-Fi was incredibly weak and poeple smoking outside the entrance filled our room with the smell of smoke. The only reason I gave it two stars is that they were both child and pet friendly, the breakfast was good, they have a pool (a bit rundown, but still nice enough) and they moved us to a less shaby room. They let me choose between two open rooms. One had a giant crack in the window, the other was missing a lock in the bathroom door. Definitely not the worst place I have stayed, but is definitely lacking for a supposed 3-star hotel.

A nice, peaceful hotel just outside the city.

Average room with basic amenities. Beds were very comfortable, good Wi-Fi and TV facilities — very clean. Lacked some essentials such as toiletries like shampoo (only a soap dispenser in the shower which was the same as the handsoap by the sink). Breakfast was good with lots of choice.

To enjoy a few days in a quiet area of Stavanger. Good breakfast.

Does not look that sexy from the outside, but there is a pool, and a cosy lobby.

Needs to close down! On arrival we were shown to a dirty disgusting room, huge stains on the carpet, dirty tiny shower room but it was 1am so we spent the night fully dressed on top of the beds and in the am were told we could have another room at 2pm, so spent our first morning Un showered walking around Ikea in Stavanger! Then back to hotel to be given a slightly better room upstairs, we settled for this as we were only there for 2 further nights, we found out that the whole hotel had been used as a home for refugees which was very admiral of the owners but full paying guests should have been informed of this as the refugees were still being allowed to use hotel facilities! The lady on reception apologised for the dirty room and admitted there wasn’t enough money to refurbish! So you have been warned!

Quiet and comfortable place the location could be better.

Tiny bathroom and no plugs. The breakfast leaves quite a bit to be desired.

Don't expect much and you will be glad. This property justify the price range. Rooms are clean, fast check inn and check out, free Parking, very nice breakfast and great location.

Nice room with a couch, desk, and a table. Huge bathroom with a shower the size of a small room. Conveniently located just a short drive to the harbor. Walking distance to the art museum and the Swords Statues. Free breakfast was good. Free coffee, tea, and water all day. They do have a pool but we didn't use it.

Rooms are not so modern and they need some renovation to reach better standard. Breakfasts and price are great advantages of this hotel.

Waffles for breakfast! Tea and coffee available all day as well. Pool is reasonable, good after a long day of walking! Bit far out from town but nice walk around lake or very regular buses about 8 min walk away.

Nice breakfast, and free coffee or tea whenever you like. Swimming pool is nice too. Friendly staff and comfy room. Short walk to a nice lake and bus stops.

The hotel looks a bit old. The rooms are big and you can use the swimming pool and the sauna for free. The breakfast is not bad and the staff is really nice. It's not the most beautiful hotel but it's not a bad place to stay.

Alstor Hotel was a pleasure. The room had a standard size, with a 40inch tv. The shower was huge, could easily be 4 persons in it, had 3 shower heads, witch one was mounted on the roof. The hotel had a hot water swimming pool that was open from 07-23 every day. The breakfast where wonderful, didn't eat the other meals there due to the prices. But it's not worse than other hotels in Norway. The location is 30min walk from down town, tried taking the bus down, but found it to be quicker to walk.

Very clean hotel with a great breakfast. Staff are very helpful. I stayed in the dorm style room before a flight out of Sola airport. Highly recommend!

I had booked a hotel room at the First Hotel Alstor in Stavanger and was looking forward to stay at this hotel. When I arrived, the man at the desk barely smiled and I found him quite rude. I was not too pleased with the room either. There was a lot of hair in the shower, and I even found bloodstains in the bed. I sent an email to the hotel complaining about these things, and the woman I emailed didn´t seem to even care. I wrote her an email back and she never replied. This was in May, and we are in June, soon July, which means it´s been nearly two whole months without getting a email back. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone, as the crew is rude and the hotel room was dirty.

Old, worn hotel. Nothing special.
