I have been to Oslo and each time I've stayed at the Panorama. As usual the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is a short walk from the centre of Oslo but also far enough away to be nice and quiet. The breakfast, as ever, was excellent. Only minor complaint was that there could've been more closet space for clothes. But we improvised by using an empty kitchen drawer. But that's a minor gripe and wouldn't stop us staying there again. Recommended.

We checked in for a Birthday trip to Oslo. One night. We booked a “business” room and were bitterly disappointed. A small shabby room in desperate need of an upgrade. No plug points in the bedroom, which was so small you had to go out of the room and come in on the other side. Netflix did not work and there was no fixed lighting so when we came in late in the evening we scrambled around for 10 minutes trying to find a light switch. The floor was scratched and I desperate nee…d of a really good clean. The bathroom cabinet was so shabby it looked like it had survived a flood. The room as equipped with a kitchen that was not even equipped so just seemed pointless. You could rent equipment, but the empty cupboards made it seem like a cheap 2 star motel. What is worse is that the room looks nothing like the website pictures. Good location and friendly receptionist, but otherwise very disappointing! We are regular Thon customers and often stay at a Thon both for pleasure and business. This is one Thon property I will definitely not be recommending!

Very good, rich breakfast with a wide range of choices. Nice, helpful staff and tidy, clean rooms with good views and also at a good price!

Rooms in the older part of the building where a bit empty and lacked personalization. Good breakfast buffet and friendly staff, a good alternative for staying in Oslo.

Had a wonderful stay over the 17. Mai weekend. The hotel is simple but beautiful. We got one of the cheaper rooms for our family of 4 (2 adults, 1 child, 1 baby) and got more of an "apartment"-style room with a room, kitchen, living room, bathroom, and balcony. The location is absolutely PERFECT and a short walking distance from Oslo sentrum. We will most likely be staying here again :)

If anyone is looking for great deals on hotels go to HotelRaven. Com Booked a room on there and they had the best rates around… Good room with plenty of space including bath. But the floor in bath without heating. Liked the bed, as its soft enough. Breakfast is really good, plenty of meals to choose. Really happy with the stay!

The rooms were comfortable, the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, and the complimentary breakfast was out of this world. I can't wait to visit Oslo again and book a room here. Highly recommend.

One of the coolest hotels I have ever been! Quiet lo ation near to the city center. The rooms are spacious, tidy and very well equipped. Bathroom is clean and well organized. The breakfast has everything you may want in terms of variery of meals and drinks! The staff are friendly and very proffesional! I definitely recomment that hotel!

Excellent location, comfortable room, great breakfast.

Sadly the room was like ice cold when we got here, so we all har to figgure how to turn on everything. Also the room had no power near the bed so could not use my pc. The room is Nice exsept that and staff seems ok to, so if your a worker or gamer I would not recomand it or take with u long wires.

Great location for wandering old town and harbour area. Easy access to transit etc. Really helpful desk staff and comfortable rooms.

I got room with the kitchen — amazing view (I could observe the sun rise from my balcony on the 11th floor) ; location — close to Central Railway station and DFDS Seaways bost terminal — just in the heart of Oslo. The rest is just like all other Thons: saving on most of living and wash room furniture (except beds & TVs)

No elevator and no Wi-Fi. The beds are average but OK the staff friendly. But I have the impression that this is normal in Norway.

Great quiet location. Friendly service. Clean, serviceable room. Extensive breakfast offering including a dozen kinds of cereal, 10 breads, cheeses, meats, smoked fish, picked herring bar, yogurts, waffles, eggs, coffee and juices. Room 315

Second best Thon hotel after the one near the park. There are some really nice views here.

Perfect location, rooms are real apartments, home impeccable, cleanliness nothing to say. Breakfast at the top.

Is within a short walk to train station. Gives you very easy access to the airport.

Found the staff to be friendly and helpful and the only minor issue we had was sorted within an hour. Close enough to the city centre to be within a short walk but far away enough to be in a quiet area. Breakfast selection was great. Would gladly recommend it to anyone else visiting Oslo.

We chose this hotel to go out the next day's cruise. Went with two children and the hotel is perfect for them. There is a play area, a table tennis, areas in the dining room… We are going to care much attention to children. Room very well, with kitchenette. Strange shower, but all very modern, clean and comfortable! Is near the pier and you can visit areas walking.

Returning to our room on Saturday morning the fire alarm sounded. We descended the 12 flights calmly along with many other guests and staff. Employees did NOTHING to assist the evacuation. Reaching the small reception area we found it crowded with guests. No announcements were made, for example asking people to vacate the building. As we approached the exit the alarm was switched off. A few moments later two fire fighters arrived, hurried back and forth a little and then left. We waited in reception for further information. Gradually guests started returning to rooms. The desk clerk continued checking in guests as if nothing had happened. At no point was there any information that it was safe to return to rooms. After waiting to speak to the clerk we were told that "NORMALLY staff would assist evacuation and there would be public information given in reception — sorry… didn't work this time… "

3 stars, are not more. But ok. You can call it that but shower. Tiny corner for washing is more like it!

For the relatively cheap accommodation, I was surprised when I saw my room–it was the biggest and most practical furnished room I have ever stayed in on a hotel (with exception of the layout of the bathroom) The hotel’s interior design was beautiful throughout the entire building, and the breakfast was just as I would expect from every hotel. The staff was nice and forthcoming, and the hotel is not located too far from Oslo’s main street.

I found this Hotel using Google Maps and chose it because of its location and its reviews (plus I got 2 nights for 1200K). The location probably was the worst feature and I have no complaints about that. A 5 minute (max) walk to the Harbour, the main shopping area and the train station. I was a little apprehensive about the room as when booking room deals on line you tend to get the worst in the hotel. I suspect it was one of the worst in the hotel but it was fantastic. A very comfortable bed, great shower/bathroom and plenty of space. I would recommend this hotel.
