Trysil Glamping in Q&A

Information is provided based on reviews and may contain inaccuracies.

How polite and responsive is the staff at Trysil Glamping, and how are booking issues handled?

The service at the glamping site is rated extremely negatively by guests. Many report that it is impossible to reach the owner, Sam Gray, by phone or email. Guests complain about an extremely unprofessional approach: bookings are canceled at the last minute (sometimes a few days prior or even the night before arrival) without reasonable explanations or with questionable reasons, such as power issues. Resolution of irregular situations, including refunds and sending promised gift vouchers, is virtually nonexistent as management ceases all communication.

How does the payment and refund system work, and are there any hidden fees?

Guests report serious issues with financial transactions. There have been recorded instances of double charging when using gift vouchers. Situations are also mentioned where the owner promised to refund money for an unused night of stay, confirming it in writing; however, two months later, the funds were not returned and communication with the owner ceased.

What breakfasts does the glamping site offer, and what is their quality?

Breakfast can be ordered at Trysil Glamping, which one guest described as good. However, the organization of service raises questions: one visitor did not receive breakfast because the owner sent a message at midnight requiring confirmation of the order before 8:00 AM, even though the delivery time had been agreed upon for 9:00 AM.

How comfortable are the accommodations at Trysil Glamping, and do they match reality?

The domes themselves are described as very beautiful, cozy, and pleasant, equipped with firewood, a coffee machine, and a refrigerator, allowing for a comfortable stay accompanied by the sound of rain. However, there are some drawbacks: pathways run right in front of the windows, and the fire pit areas are located too close to one another, disrupting the sense of privacy in nature. It is also noted that from some domes, the distance to the restrooms is too far.

What is the condition of the restrooms and common areas on the property?

The condition of the common areas and sanitary facilities draws complaints. One guest described the standard of the restrooms as very poor, characterizing them as "shabby" rather than "rustic." Furthermore, the grounds can be very muddy in the autumn, and guests suggest using wooden pallets to avoid walking through 20 centimeters of mud.

Is it convenient to check in to the glamping site and navigate the grounds?

Once the booking process is complete, the communication system works well. Guests note that finding the way to the domes is easy, and the check-in and parking procedures are organized simply and conveniently.
