Good location. Along main road. Good food and ambiance catered both for youngs adults.

Slightly boring burger, but excellent pizzas. Usually the "menu of the day" is also delicious.

If I could I would not give a single star. It's the worst burger I have ever eaten. McDonald's is much better. There were bits of bone in my beef and it wasn't cooked enough. They took it back to the kitchen and I didn't even get a new burger but the old one microwaved more. It resulted in a suggy bun. I also had to pay 16 kr for a few pieces of lettuce and tomatoes for the burger.

On our way back from Flam we had a short stop at Hemsedal cafe. This place is truly worth visiting, serving delicious and well prepared food. We had the dish of the day (roasted lamb with potatoes and vegetables) and a pizza and some snacks and drinks. Prices are reasonable for Norwegian standards. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is very cosy and the very friendly stuff makes it even cosier. It feels like everyone enjoys their time there both visitors and stuff. Keep up the good spirit guys. You have a really warm place in the middle of cold Norway. We will definitely be back in our next trip here.

Lived here for a week during my winter break. Stayed in an apartment with my family of 4, and there were great room. When you arrive, you get an apple TV with Netflix, which is great fun in the evenings when you are tired from skiing. However, the internet was not great, so often we only got to see 1/4 of a movie, which sucks — thus only 4 starts from me. However, the crew and service were great, and the cafè which lies underneath, offer delicious food. If you want to go skiing in the winter, there is a ski bus leaving every 20th minute, and this works very well and easy. The bus leaves just outside Hemsedal Cafè, which is very convenient.

Great place to have lunch or dinner. It's warm and cosy inside with interesting decor. A mixture of old, new and contempary design. The staff are friendly and are quick to offer service. You can sit around the fire on comfortable lounge chairs and couches or sit in the dinner areas both of which are older design in one dining area or more modern Scandinavia design in the other. The meals are reasonably priced and the portion size are quite generous. Our family enjoys visiting this café when we are on vacation in Hemsedal.

Welcome and kindness is the strong dish of the place. I recommend the burger with the best potatoes in the world! Price in standard.

A fun place with very friendly wait staff. Great selections of local foods. Locally sourced food seems to be a passion. Selections like elk and sheep sausage are fun to try and very good. Tavern style atmosphere. Loved it!

Best Cafe in the world as we know it. Apple cake is to die for.

Great food and even better views of the beautiful village of Hemsedal. We enjoyed locally sourced food including lingonberries, raspberry pie and Elgkarbonader (moose). If you are staying in Hemsedal then put the Cafe on your list of places to dine and if you are just passing through then make this your choice for a lunch or "middag" as they say in Norway.

Nice place with nice people.

Very good food (had the moose meatloaf sandwitch), but tge dish was a bit small. The table was also very dirty and there were loads of flies, which was annoying.

Great view… easy access to basic necessities… Clean and cosy accomodation.

Great food. Menu is a bit limited in English, but don't let that stop you. The beef wok is good, as is the Falafel wrap. I had something Norwegian that was chicken and potatoes. It was good. Loads of skiers eat and drink here.
