The hotel lies on the Hankø island with a 3-minute ferry ride from the mainland and 16 km from Frederikstad city. Since 1877, Hankø Hotell & SPA has provided accommodation in peaceful natural settings on the shores of the Oslo fjord.

We went on a spa trip to Hankø hotell, we booket about 2-3 weeks in advance but when we got there we were very dissapointed. First, the hamam and sauna in the ladies locker was not on, so we had to use the sauna in the mens locker, but the hamam was not on so we couldnt use it. Second, the jacuzzi was empty and the swimming pool was full og super cold water, so we could not use those as well. They said they would activate the jacuzzi outside but they didn't, so we could not use that either. The massage was ok, although it felt like she was just putting moisturizer on us, had to beg her many times to massage us a little harder. The food was great. The beds however, not comfortable at all. Hopefully they would improve the spa facilities, specially when they know customers are coming! Otherwise, not worth the money at all!
