Probably our 5th or 6th visit to this amazing motel — the most comfortable bed ever — great hosts and for us each visit is a bit like returning ‘home’ — there is something magical about Norfolk Island and also something magical about Castaways — very highly recommended.

Friendly staff, Beautiful cheese platters with beer and cider on tap with great atmosphere on the deck with Clean, tidy and spacious rooms.

Great relaxed atmosphere for dinner or a drink. The pizzas on Wednesday’s and Fridays are awesome!

This was a beautiful location with a valley view and the mountain in the background, service and Sarah and husband very hospitable.

We just had a meal there tonight for our 30th wedding anniversary and the food was outstanding.
Highly recommended.

Would highly recommend Castaway! You won't go wrong with your choice if you stay here! The best bar and deck to watch the sunset and chill with a nice cocktail or a drink! pizzas are amazingly mouthwatering! Ask for Tony's specialty Shot! Tony & Sarah, their daughter Stellar and their gorgeous doggy Pepsi are very friendly and helpful! We had a wonderful time staying here for a week. First timers to Norfolk Island and glad we made the right choice! Walking distance to shops! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! 4.5 Stars… Definitely staying here again if we revisit Norfolk.

Dined there Thay have wood fired pizza thay have entertainment on a Friday and Saturday night great bar and Restaurant great staff to look after you and thay a fire place when thay have cool weather and gas heaters for outside dineing.

What a great place to stay. Short walk to town and other shop’s, room was nice. Food was great and Pizza night fantastic.
Owners and Staff very friendly and helpful.
I Wood Recommend to my Family and friends to stay here.

Unique experience on a very special island.

Just back from a lovely 11 days at Castaway and we had a great time. Friendly staff, quite spot yet right in the heart of town. We would not hesitate to stay there again.

By far the best bar and deck on Norfolk Island. Sunsets viewed from the deck overlooking a lush green valley, happy hour drinks 4-6pm, good company and great hosts. We enjoyed 5 evenings here after checking out a few other places in town. We booked in for Friday night pizzas and we also enjoyed live music. I would highly recommend Castaway and although we didn't stay in their accommodation, I would definitely consider it if I return to Norfolk Island. Thanks Sarah and Dee for your hospitality.

We had dinner at Castaway after it eas recommend to us by a local. What a great recommendation. A friendly atmosphere and delicious food. A pity we can't go back as they only open Sat — Tue and we'll fly out on sat. Do yourself a favour and try their wonderful food.

Great location, extremely friendly staff, nothing was to much for them to do to ensure that your holiday was a memorable one, great food, clean quiet rooms, would recommend Castaway to anybody travelling to Norfolk Island.

We stayed just around the corner from this venue. It become our local, Outstanding service, perfect wood fired pizza and live entertainment on a friday. I have been in the hospitality industry for 30 years. This service was second to none We will be back to beautiful Norfolk island and 100% this venue.

We have been home from Castaway Hotel, Norfolk Island for 2 days now and wish we were still there. Sarah and Tony were such wonderful hosts, nothing was too much trouble and we look forward to going back as soon as we can. Angela and Bernie.

Such a relaxed environment, Sarah, Tony and all their staff are fantastic and are more than happy to help with anything, locations to see and things to do. The rooms are large and have their own kitchen.

Great location, close to town. Friendly and very helpful staff. Great food selection.

One of the best locations on Norfolk to have a beer on the deck, a seat by the fire, and a chat with the owners… Just before your wood fired pizza for dinner.

Thanks Tony and Sarah and staff for a wonderful stay, the rooms are lovely, clean and the beds are so comfortable, the meals we had in the restaurant were really nice as well, especially Friday night pizza. The Hotel is going to be so nice when you finish all the renovations and get the new deck on out the front. Nothing was any trouble for Tony and Sarah, from lending us a Norfolk Island phone sim card (our Telstra prepaid phones didn't work on Island) to sorting out an issue with our hire car, lending us rugs to go to the Mutiny on the Bounty outdoor show, to even lending me some flippers to go snorkelling. They are very obliging. We can't wait to come back for another visit.
