Clean, quiet place, good breakfast and excellent attention.

Room clean but outside poorly entrenu, lots of rust, bare cement, cold atmosphere, a Hello and a smile arriving, time to pay and after all the cold world apart a young man who opens the gate and shows the room. Very poor breakfast, TV in the room advertised on the site, I had none. Pool is more a Jacuzzi for 7 people who do not move. I got hugely better elsewhere for the same price the day before. Looks much better in photo.

Good breakfast included, nice staff. The kitchen is a little outdated and doesn't have everything you need but you get along. 16 dormitory was very clean even the sanitary facilities. Pool present and great location.

It was super clean, friendly, quiet. Great location n free secure parking. Excellent breakfast of either pancakes or Gallo pinto, juice n coffee. Nice pool, relaxing hammocks n rocking chairs. Free Wi-Fi. Very kind n helpful owners.

Great clean hostel with breakfast included — close to the centre of town and beach but just far enough not to be too loud from all the bars. Beautiful dogs come as part of the package!

Pretty good to be a hostel. I highly recommend to book a room upstairs next to the little pool.

Cheap, good location, but the pool is filthy and the staff was not quite so nice even in Spanish.

This place was our only choice on New Years (poor planning on our part). The toilets were constantly plugged and the dorm room was overly packed. This was overpriced for what we were receiving. The owner (woman) was extremely rude when we arrived and very unwelcoming. The people staying here made it a fairly enjoyable stay although I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Good experience here — Spanish speaking staff (perfect opportunity to practice your Spanish:) — very helpful, welcoming, and friendly. We stayed in a private room with a private bathroom for $25 (for two of us) and it was a perfect little room! Very quiet on this side of the hostel despite reading a review saying it might be noisy. However, SJDS itself is a party town, so obviously you'll still get your party focused people. Nonetheless, I would stay here again. Breakfast included, and it was great! Eggs/beans+rice/fruit/bread/tea or coffee. Also they have a small kitchen for guests. Good value for your money and I would recommend! I did hear about an experience with bedbugs in the dorm, but I have seen this as a common problem with many hostels and at this point I ALWAYS check bedframes for bedbugs before I sleep in a hostel bed. You should too;)

The room was very clean and comfortable.

Good option close to the beach and for budget people. Do expect crowd/party people at night, so maybe hard to sleep. Breakfast included was really good!

Solid little hostel and decently priced. Nice and clean, good Nica breakfast. It's also close to the beach which was nice.

Good customer service. The people who serves you is very helpful and are always willing to solve your problems. The mattresses are in good condition. I was not in the pool but it seems to be a good place to hang out. The place has good ventilation and be away from high-traffic areas of San Juan del Sur is quiet in the evenings. The bathroom was clean and well stocked. One not felt in complete privacy but hey, sharing a room with 9 more people. In addition, the space in the rooms is reduced. There are lockers but you have to bring your own padlock. There is parking inside the premises.

Acogedo, economic and very good customer service. 150 mts from the beach.

Overall the hostel wasn't too bad. It was a bit pricey (especially for Nicaragua) as we paid around 17-18 USD for a dorm bed. Moreover, the dorm was very small for over 10 people in the room. Location was alright and they do have a (very small) outdoor pool. Laundry service is pretty expensive (as it is everywhere in town for some reason) — so try to get your laundry done before or after coming to San Juan del Sur.

Christmas is coming, enough reason to reflect on family and what better than to get out of the routine and visit the village of San Juan del Sur to 130 km from the capital, Managua, and enjoy the beauties of the bay, full of tourists from all over the world and from different cultures. Hostel Thaddeus San Juan del Sur, is one of the preferred by domestic and foreign tourists for being located near the sea and with an architecture country that allows you to get out of the routine that guests can enjoy the swimming pool, barbecue, listen to music, read a good book or simply resting.
