Great service! Good price.

He sleeps super well in this hotel. Good service. It is a bit short of the cleanliness of bathrooms in the rooms, but it is due to the type of material that the walls of the bathroom. The food is good but there are better choices on the island and you should explore the surroundings. Sometimes the energy goes and the payment by credit card is complicated.

Es Agradabel has very good view of the lake.

They tried to ransom the air conditioning remote! We booked online and when we arrived they took away the remote control for the air conditioner saying we hadn't paid for it and it was $20 more a night! Disgusting room and the staff wasn't much better. Who does that? The room was a dungeon with boarded up windows so the AC remote was essential Stay anywhere else on Ometepe. Their website claims they have a tour desk — no they don't and they couldn't even get us decently priced taxis. We kept going next door to a much better hotel — Hotel Villa Paraiso — for rides around the island. Try that place or any other place — first.

This place like ok's nice from the outside but the room was horribly dirty. There was black mould and lizard poop on all the shelves and along the wall. We asked them to clean it, so they sent the housekeeper over. She proceeded to swat to poop off the wall onto the floor and bed. We realized this problem wasn't going to be solved so we went to lunch. When we came back the poop had not been swept up just merely moved around. The location is good but save your money and check out one of the places just up the road. We ended up staying at Hotel Miraflores the next two nights. It was half the price, only a few doors down, on the beach, and was very clean. Any of the options would have been an improvement. Just in case anyone thinks I am just a picky person, I have included photos. These photos were taken after they "cleaned" it a second time. They also charged me $6 over the price quoted to me online. Taxes were included in the original price.

The staff was friendly and polite, however the conditions of the room were not what was advertised or what should be acceptable. Upon entering, the air in the room felt damp and it smelled of mildew, plus the sheets felt a little damp to the touch. We ended up checking out right away and went to Hotel Buena Vista (which wasn't much more expensive). The staff refused to refund us and ended up giving us 75% of our deposit (which was one night). I would say there may be other, more comfortable options.
