A paradise island which is the perfect escape to relax. Yoga, massages, kayaking, fishing or just chilling out and enjoying the wildlife.

The island is nicely isolated but only a short ride from Marina Cocibolca. Everyone was extremely welcoming and professional on our arrival! The island was peaceful with comfortable places to lounge & relax. A nice breeze helped maintain the comfort. However, if you’d rather venture out on the lake, some kayaks are available to explore. We just participated in the evening dinner, so I cannot speak to the sleeping accommodations, but there were many options from private cabins… to the really awesome looking treetop rancho. The food we enjoyed was some of the best we’ve had… ever. From the starter to the main course and finishing with dessert, everything was prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The view of Mombacho Volcano was beautiful accompanied by a backdrop of shining stars at night. We really enjoyed our short visit to Isleta El Espino, and would absolutely spend more time there should we ever return to Nicaragua. Thank you for such a wonderful afternoon/evening!

I can't say enough about how amazing this private island was. I recently booked this Island for a group of ten friends. Everything from the food, drinks, service, and views were nothing but top notch. The staff were always welcoming and available whenever we needed anything. Organizing our large group was hard at times but they always worked with us and accommodated our transport times from Granada and back. The rooms were absolutely stunning and well decorated. I would highly recommend this place for anybody looking for a private relaxing experience you'll remember forever.

One of the most magical places I've ever been to! The staff was absolutely incredible, the food was delicious (RECOMMENDATION: avocado toast for breakfast and seabass for supper is where it's at). The only thing I would suggest is you bring snacks… after supper the kitchen is immediately closed and if you wanna nosh late night there's no option to! But the beers are cold all night long! (RECOMMENDATION: lemongrass fizz for cocktail hour). Mucho gracias to everyone that makes that amazing island run!

Isletta El Espino is one of the most beautiful, serene and romantic places I’ve ever been to. They have a private bartender, chef, boat and amazing island manager (Martin, who used to translate for medical missions before he saw the position posted on Facebook. Fun fact: he taught himself everything from materials sourcing to architecture & design from YouTube! ). My thanks to the Isletta El Espino team for a truly unforgettable getaway!
