Great location, great room and great host.

Great Host. Lovely premises no parking problems as smack in the middle of town. After years of places like Hilton etc we have found the almost perfect spot on Queenstown. 10 well sized and appointed rooms. Great for family groups and golfers. Zip line next door and loads of food options. Geoff 9.98/10.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Browns. Good sized room, relaxed friendly atmosphere and walking distance to central Queenstown.

We loved our stay at the gorgeous Browns Boutique Hotel. Our room was beautifully appointed, with a superb view over the gorgeous Queenstown. We felt welcome and well looked after by our lovely host, who’s attention to detail is second to none. Every aspect of the hotel is thoughtful and superbly presented. I can’t wait to come back. What a fantastic find.

What a perfect little hotel. Great location within a stone's throw from town and with stunning views looking out over the mountains and lakes edge. Rooms were beautifully decorated and loved the little touches like home baked biscuits and Chocolate fish. Our host Peter Ray was the best, providing just the right amount of friendly advice and expert knowledge of the Queenstown area. Sadly our stay was too short and we will be back.

Peter and son Campbell go over the top with their accommodations. Peter is a foodie and the food is healthy and yummy! The rooms all have the most beautiful views you’ll ever see on NZ. Dont miss the amazing boutique hotel. We sat outside with a roaring fireplace and a charcuterie plate. Peter (Owner) joined us and sharing a beautiful bottle of wine. Great Memories…

What a great little hotel to stay in whilst visiting Queenstown. It’s just a few minutes walk from the Centre of town or the base of the gondola and yet in a very quiet area. Very friendly and helpful people — delicious breakfast — we couldn’t fault it and would stay again in a heartbeat — highly recommend.

We had a lovely room (the honeymoon suite) with amazing views. Overall excellent service and couldn't recommended it enough.

Incredible atmosphere, perfect views, lovely hosts. From the moment we arrived we were greeted with friendly smiles, and helpful hosts. Next morning woke to gorgeous breakfast spread.

We had a lovely 2 night stay at Brown's but it wasn't nearly long enough. I would have loved to have spent more time in the comfy lounge & sampling more of the breakfast specials! Peter-Ray was very friendly and helpful in arranging activities and airport transfers for us. We really appreciated being able to use the guest lounge between check out time and our flight. Thank you for your hospitality.

Highly recommended! After a few stays here over the years, we have never been disappointed.
Well appointed clean & modern rooms, you’ll sleep well, followed by a lovely dinning area for freshly cooked breakfasts to your liking, or a nice selection of continental selections. Then end your day relaxing outside in summer, or by the open fire inside in winter, sinking into the comfort of the lounges. … The proximity to town is perfect, as it is not more than five minutes to walk, but far enough away to be quiet and peaceful. If you want personal service and hospitality not normally available in larger hotels, then Browns is a perfect choice. The staff are top class and Emma went out of her way to make us feel at home!

The location of this hotel is fantastic, easy walking distance to the downtown area. Our host, Emma was friendly, helpful and efficient, will definitely stay again.

Very nice hotel close to the Centre of Queenstown. The owner was very helpful particularly recommending good places to eat in the evening. Only slight drawback is the small parking area which makes parking somewhat tricky. But still highly recommended!

Excellent. Highly recommended, very cozy and homely feeling as you can have glass of wine on the couch with fire place on during cold nights. Heaps of books to read and movies and DVDs are free. Gives you a feeling of being in Paris "seriously" The owner lives close by and you can ask anything you want and they will provide you. Excellent level of service and affordable place with great view over the lake.

My husband and I have been staying at the Brown's Boutique Hotel for a week now and we love it! We were married in the Queenstown area and the staff made us feel so special! We spent a total of 2 nights at the Browns Boutique hotel on our tour of New Zealand. The staff was always friendly and accommodating. The room was clean, tidy and quite spacious. The room furniture was average. I would like to highlight the view from the balcony of the room. Very tasty were the freshly baked biscuits, which were made available in a cookie jar in the room. Also the breakfast was very nice. Here you had a choice of different dishes. The Wi-Fi in the hotel is included and OK. The parking spaces are a bit cramped, but this is everywhere in Queenstown so. It is also worth mentioning that the hotel is in an ideal location. The Skyline Queenstown Gondola is within walking distance. The city centre is also within walking distance. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to spend a few days in Queenstown. Queenstown is really a great city and loved us very much.

Overall are good. But It’s really too pricing, and once booked, you will be charged 1st night room rate.

Had a terrible experience with the owner who was being extremely obnoxious towards us! Booked for a two night stay through the hotel’s website. After we received our booking confirmation, the owner emailed us demanding we pay double the price of the advertised rate. We pointed out to him that this is false advertising which he just became more obnoxious and cancelled our reservation as he obviously realised he was in the wrong and no way out for him. The cancellation did not bother us as there are plenty of beautiful properties in Queenstown and who would want to stay with such a rude host anyway? After we had this dreadful encounter we jumped on Trip Advisor and filtered on the terrible and poor reviews for this hotel and surprise, surprise these reviewers had the exact same experience as us ranging from false advertising, rude & defensive owner and the list goes on. This did make us laugh as we realised the problem is with this owner and not us and his responses to these reviewers were laughable as well, interesting that any issues were the guests fault and not the host – says a lot doesn’t it! We just feel sorry for these poor people who had to endure an actual stay at this property and we were the lucky ones who got away and can go and spend our money elsewhere with businesses who operate ethically. Please do read these reviews (and the owners responses!

My husband and I booked this property for a 2-day stay through the hotel’s website. They advertised a package at a certain price which we booked. We received the booking confirmation detailing our 2 nights and the total cost to be paid for our stay as per the price on their website. A few days later we received an email from Peter, who I assume is the owner saying that the package is now double the price and we need to understand this to confirm the booking. We went back to him saying that was not the advertised price on their website or the booking confirmation we received. His response: “I’m not arguing with you over this” and he became extremely rude and defensive quoting random figures that weren’t adding up, offering a ‘gesture of goodwill’ because we booked over Easter. We didn’t book over Easter, we booked four weeks after Easter so fail to understand what he was offering except demanding for us to still pay the sudden huge price increase. He clearly doesn’t have a clue what he is talking about, his behaviour was disgusting and businesses like these are an embarrassment for the New Zealand tourism industry. We have previously stayed at many great Queenstown properties with lovely owners, this is not one of them. Do yourself a favour, take your money elsewhere and you won’t regret it.

Just stayed there for a four day stay. The staff was very helpful and friendly. It was our first time staying in Queenstown, and they went out of their way to give tips for going around town. Would definitely recommend and stay there again.

This 10 room Hotel is one of the nicest places I have stayed. Owner operators that know how to spoil people. The Host:

Lovely hotel. Central location and short walk to all the Queenstown has to offer. Staff was great. Breakfast was my favorite part of the day, wish I could bring that back home! Thanks for a wonderful stay.

Staff is very friendly and helpful. Nice spacious rooms with beautiful views. It is also very clean and comfy. Very convenient location a couple minutes walk from town and free parking and Wi-Fi.

We booked this hotel after reading to good reviews it had. We were not dissapointed! Our room (#10) was wonderful, with views over the town, the lake and the mountains. Donald and Gillian were more than helpful and the brekkies was very tasty. We stayed 3 nights — wish we had longer.
