Sometimes when you book online you never quite know what you’re going to get, photos don’t always convey reality. If you book this place you will not be disappointed. The views, accommodation and hospitality will keep you coming back here year after year as many do.
Susie and Martin are the glue that makes this whole B&B work; they are knowledgeable, interesting, charming people and they know how to provide a great meal and comfy dialogue at the end of a day out kayaking, …walking or winery visiting.
Personally l’ve never gravitated towards communal dining or shared facilities but this accommodation is so large and generous and the cooked meals are so inviting that it really felt like we were part of something very real, unplanned and warm almost like an extended family coming from all walks of life and sitting chatting.
Best suited to couples and maybe a family with one perhaps. Spend your days travelling to Picton, Havelock (great mussels at the captains daughter hotel), Blenheim and grab the boat out to one of the islands and if your feeling keen go out kayaking on the sound.

It's hard to overstate the beauty of this place. It is a great place with wonderful hosts who go out of their way to treat every guest like family. I can't wait to go back and visit one more time. I loved my stay there and I hope I can go back.
