Great stay, all areas are kept clean and tidy. Nice and warm bathrooms, with good showers and excellent water pressure. Kitchen is a good size and well equipped with appliances, plus an outdoor bbq area that is also very clean. Do check out the "take a book leave a book" free library in the lounge area ;) Nice garden with roses and even a friendly cat or two running around :)

Don't be put off by the location right off the main road. It makes it a great place to start, finish or carry on your journey from. It's a great site with excellent facilities. Well kept site Site manager Brandon and the site staff were very helpful to us, which we cannot say thanks enough for.

Accommodation excellent. Room, 3 bedded superior cabin, very clean and well maintained. Hot water tap in kitchen sink just needs to be looked at, as difficult to turn off. Overall very impressed with facility's complex. Good heating in room during cold snap.

Great campsite very handy for Christchurch city centre. This site caters for most camping styles, from tents through to powered sites for vans. Being located within the city, the campsite is compact and you will find yourselves cheek by jowl with others, but don't let that put you off. The facilities are clean and we found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. The place was peaceful and we had no problems sleeping here. Highly recommended for either your first nights or your last — but book in advance!

Very nice RV park with friendly staff. Clean kitchen and restrooms. Nice showers with hot water. We enjoyed our time there to settle in and start our NZ trip.

Cute but very tight. Good value for money, good amenities. The manager though did not know her facts about many Christchurch attractions and recommended us a drive around a scenic road on the peninsual which had actually been closed for 8 months, among other wrong information.

$50/night, two adults, powered. You pay for privilege of being in Christchurch. There is no privacy between the sites and in tent or smaller van you are close together. The amenities are nice, a small kitchen and bathroom area in the back, larger set up in the front. The staff is friendly and helpful. Beautiful flower garden on site.

Nice campground, close to city centre. Women at the reception were very friendly and helpful. Cleaning lady next morning a bit less friendly. Small spots but good place.

Love it here. Prices reasonable and while on business the best feeling to have freedom to be outside instead of cooped up in an hotel room. Excellent service, staff were great — friendly and helpful. Basically in the city and close to everything. My unit was a good size for 1 to 2 people if you are going to be out and about all day. Slightly dated, but not an issue. Comfortable but most importantly… clean! I would definitely recommend Amber Park and I will definitely be back.

Last night before we gave the camper back. Good location and the bus stop is very convenient. Clean shower and toilet. Possibility to clean the car. Price is OK.

Bent over backward to find suitable site for our tent… facilities were very clean. Manager was fantastic. Kitchen was great. Beautiful small campground. Close to city and supermarket. Only downside was some road noise, but only minimal.

Ok hotel a little far away from the city centre. Room nice but little room for 2 suitcases.

While the hotel claims to the rooms have been recently renovated, it appears the standard of renovation was very poor. General standard of the hotel is leaning towards run down. I would not stay here again.

For those that care to make the distinction, this is a motel, not a hotel. Don't stay here if it's going to be hot — the room had neither air conditioning nor a fan, and only two small windows at the back. I enjoyed the location as it was within 45 minutes walk of all the major tourist attractions, but will consider other options when returning to Christchurch.

Perfect, a really welcoming staff, perfect location, right next to the bus stop to get to the center!

I never usually give feedback online but customer service is such a simple thing to get right and it sounds like others have had issues also. The male owner extremely rude, not somewhere I'd choose to go back to.

We arrived early and they graciously swapped us for another unit that was available. The unit we had was small but we only required a bed for two nights so it was no problem. It might be crowded with three people in there. The room was warm and reasonable value for what we got. The location was good for us easy to get into the city, malls etc.

The space to pitch your tent was really small to close together, showers were okay could be a big bigger. kitchen was clean everthing else fine.

Rang up, booked in for 2 nights possibly 3 for my husband. He checked in but they had no booking for him.! He paid and stayed 2 nights said he wouldn't be staying for a third night. Man (owner! ) rang him on the Friday very annoyed that his f… ing room had been empty for 2 f… ing nights. Numerous other f. Words rang forth. My husband said he had told a staff member he was not staying a 3rd night and he hung up. Rang again today to book 1 night only for my husband and was given Room 9. I did mention his swearing about the room to my husband and she apologised. The man (owner! ) rang my husband on his cell phone and said that basically there was no booking for him and he wasn't welcome to stay there again. very professional service.

An ordinary camp. Facilities were clean, but campsite is wery small and sites are realy close one to other, so it can get very crowded. The staff was fair and helpful, but hard to understand, because of the strong kiwi accent ;o)
