Feels like home. Good for family gathering. Complete amnities. Full TV channels, washing machine and outdoor coffee table.

This was the most comfortable stay during our South Island road trip in winter. Next time would like to stay here more than a single night. The apartments were well equipped, with soft bed linen, and heating was very effective.

We thouroughly enjoyed our stay here. It was close to everything that we wanted to see and the units were fully contained with everything we needed… Staff were very friendly and helpful. The only problem for us was our stay wasn't long enough.

Beautiful resort located very close to the lake. Recommend going here or sister resort Peppers.

Nice quiet location near the church of good shepherd. Gets a little quiet during the night. It is quite dark when look out of the window. Well equipped home and kitchen area. Few minutes drive to the town centre. 15mins drive to the observatory.

We stayed in this hotel recently and found it awesome. It was a town house in very good condition (including furniture and interiors). Just to the backside there is a garden, early morning we saw lots of rabbits. Kids liked this setup very much. Since we visited in winter, an enclosed car park garage was the best to keep our car nice and warm in a cold winter night. Also this place is very near to the lake. We went for an early morning walk and really enjoyed the scenery. Only disadvantage is that reception is not 24/7. If you are reaching after 5.30 PM then you have to collect keys from another hotel near by.

Stunning view as we came up in the daylight. Also a good cafe where we could sit outside in the sun. Highly recommended. The road up to the summit is interesting too.

The house was fantastic and perfect for what we needed. We didn't make use of the pool or hot tub but they are just a short walk from the front door. A couple of things that would have made our stay a little better would have been unrestricted internet (you are capped at a 300mb or so — I can't remember specifically) and a few basics in the kitchen like salt and pepper. Small quibbles really but easy for them to fix. Walking to the town you can go via the sea front or across the road bridge. Both ways are a pleasant walk and should take no longer than 10-15 minutes.

The Mantra Lake apartments sit next to Lake Tekapo. The apartments are beautifully furnished and stocked wuth a full kitchen. The main living area was warm and welcoming after a long drive, and the staff were kind enough to have the gas fireplace going for us to warm the apartments. The one downfall by being next to the lake are the bugs — I recommend you ensure you close all the windows to prevent bugs coming in, but this was bound to happen at all the accomadation near Tekapo.

Omg. This place is amazing. It feels like home and it isn't to busy around. Perfect place to get out of the city and relax. Will stay here again 100%

Great size modern property with excellent pool & spa. Top location with easy access to shops & star gazing at Church of good shepherd. Its an amazing part of NZ & this property is just so nice.

As a house it's great. Very spacious and comfortable. Just wished Wi-Fi was more free to use and there was another TV in the master bed room.

Wi-Fi is not really "Free", it has 100MB limit per device. Otherwise, I like the amenities.

Really nice accommodation. Hot tub was warm not hot. Being a really hot day when we visited it actually felt nice. Good location with a short walk to shops or the lake. Wi-Fi is limited and not very good.

The unit is situated about 2 mins drive from the Church of the Good Shepherd, and very near to the lake, at the quieter part of the town. We booked a 2-bedroom apartment, which was very well-equipped, has a garage of its own, self service laundry facilities in the unit, and a fireplace! The only con was the low complimentary Wi-Fi data provided. Only 100mb of data per device was provided.

Rooms were clean and management was excellent. Would reccomend for someone stopping overnight.

Wonderful villa and complex. Managed to get heaps of washing done because of in room washing machine and dryer. Spa was great too. Walking distance to shopping village and other local landmarks.

Great location, near to church of good Shepherd. The downside is the complimentary 100MB internet was not working. In this age to restrict guest to 100MB usage is pretty unbelievable. You need to work on this. apart from that, well equipped. Washing machine was working but the dryer is spinning cold clothes regardless of settings.

Very enjoyable stay. A few things are starting to look a bit tired and the Wi-Fi is terrible, hence only four stars and not five!

Great location, great facilities and a short walk to shops and a fantastic view. Rooms were spacious and in good condition. Would be great in Winter but you have to want to be getting out and about because that is what this part of the country is about.

Location was just outside but immediately nearby to the Town Centre which was ideal. Also located immediately near to the Lake which provided great photo oops. Apartment had all required amenities, including garage for vehicle.

Its not far from the Supermarket and people can easily fuel up petrol nearby.

Great, spacious design with fully sectioned units. Very clean and fancy interior. Bathrooms were well serviced and very modern. The kitchen was fully equipped and overall a wonderful experience.

We stayed at Mantra Lake Tekapo on 29-31 December. Unfortunately, it was a terrible experience for us — poor room hygiene and horrible service. I am going to provide a few examples here. 1. We arrived at 3:50pm on the 29th. When we tried to check in, we were told that our room was not ready. I asked how long we had to wait and the staff at the reception said: "I don't know — it may be one hour or two. We are over booked, you just HAVE TO WAIT. I will call you when the room is ready. " He was not even a little bit apologetic! We were very annoyed by his attitude. 2. About 5pm, our room was finally ready. We went in only to discover that the room hygiene was poor — the dishes were not perfectly clean, the outdoor table was completely dirty, and we also found some orange peels on the floor in the living room and dead insect bodies and marks on the bathroom walls. 3. We also found that the dishwasher did not clean the dishes well. We went to report the issue. When we said "The dishwasher in our room does not seem to work properly. ", the same staff at the reception responded abruptly: "NO, IT'S WORKING WELL! Do you know how to use a dishwasher? " And only then he asked which room we were staying in. How rude! He said the dishwasher worked well without checking the room or even knowing which room we were in! 4. The next day, we went out at 9am and came back at 4:00pm. The room still hadn't been serviced by then. In summary, we were very disappointed with our stay at Mantra.
